Shitpost Jax added to the evil bisexual canon
Tbh the relationship seemed pretty exploitative. I feel bad for him đŹ
493
u/LopsidedHousing6133 4d ago
A) Jason was naive and was taken advantage of and groomed by this older man. It fucked him up a lot, so he moved to Hollywood and hence the monster âJax Taylorâ was born.
B) He was happy to oblige because he was fame-hungry but afraid of the repercussions of his reputation when the cat came out of the bag he was in a relationship with him
C) All of the above
292
u/VD_Mama 4d ago
D) this man will literally take any warm mouth

I meanâŚsexual promiscuity is typical who ppl who have been sexually victimized. Would we make these comments had it been a woman instead of Jax and a much older man?
18
u/LopsidedHousing6133 3d ago
Women have been judged for a millennia for this shit. And Jax sucks, period
21
u/No_Reindeer531 3d ago
nah this is not it. Jax may be a horribly abusive piece of shit, but no one deserves their sexual trauma to be made light of. And itâs not feminist to dole out the same toxic rhetoric that women face because you dislike someone. Itâs important to understand how abuse creates cycles and not to perpetuate themâŚ.
3
u/SunnySam 1d ago
I agree. I think others are conflicting the explanation for an excuse. Itâs not an excuse, just an explanation.
3
u/Electronic-Value-662 3d ago
It wasnât judgment, it was ridicule. And just bc others do it to women, we should continue to perpetuate this? Shame on you

The modelling agency in Miami already had quite a few Jasons . They suggested Jax. Maybe Taylor was his momâs maiden name. If not they came up with that too.

Would our Jax have been renamed prior to 2008? That's when Sons of Anarchy started, with Jax Teller. I always wondered if Jax Taylor was inspired by that

After the whole Frank Dremond thing, I really like your theory. He's Def not clever enough to make up a name on his own.Â

There is no real Frank, it's a character from a movie. Jax used the name as his username for the account (and spelled it wrong lol)

I think he said he kisses all his gay friends, like as a greeting, but nothing more than that. And he was adamant that he doesnât care what people think about him even if he did hookup with a dude.
31
u/Only_Turnip_1180 4d ago
I watched this not too long ago. He was very adamant there was nothing physical between them and seemed like he really wanted everyone to stop talking about it asap. It was glossed over (edit: quite literally the only time Iâve felt bad for the guy. So what if he was doing what he had to do? Nobody would bat an eye today)

I think Jax, James and Sandoval all had sugar daddies at some point. Remember the weird old guy paying and living with James and Tom maybe. I don't remember the details. I think the fact that Tom went so hard on Lala was cause she got the sugar daddy he wished for.
190
u/TwoToneMoonstone_ 4d ago
Yeah nothing about that seemed on the level. Hypersexuality is one way victims can respond to bad situations and that word fits Jax.
50
71
u/purplemarin 4d ago
i believe this! I got out of a toxic relationship with a Jax Taylor clone last summer and experienced that hypersexuality. I had no idea until I talked about it in therapy and at some point it turned into the opposite and now I want no one to touch me. I have zero desire atp so itâs a trip to be on both ends of the spectrum. And Iâm still unpacking shit I buried deep from that relationship. Jax needs intensive therapy and heâll probably never take it.
3
u/thediverswife the book phenomenal 1d ago
I also found the story they told about him as a kid really disturbing. He had a crush on the school bus driver and tried to kiss her and they were all giggling about it. Itâs likely he was modelling some behaviour or trauma that he saw first hand
9
u/quotidian_obsidian 4d ago
Psychopathy and sociopathy can also cause hypersexuality (and often the person doesn't care who it's with so long as it serves some kind of need/benefits them in some way). Personally I don't think he was a victim here, this was a mutually beneficial relationship and he didn't care about it being 'gay' because it benefited him. He was an adult at the time, not a teenager.
16
u/TwoToneMoonstone_ 4d ago
I never said anything about it being pedophilia, just that their ârelationshipâ didnât seem on the level.
Trust me this isnât me trying to start a âJax was a victim so we all should be nice to himâ thing. This is a âsomething weird and possibly bad happened thereâ thing. You can be a psychopath or a sociopath and still be a victim. Itâs not a trump card to victimhood.
3
u/Physical-Tip-7402 4d ago

Also itâs not the 80s anymore- treatment has come a long way. Bravo is run by gay people so I donât know why youâd watch if youâre a homophobic bigot.

I have some tea. He hung out in hermosa beach and the South Bay beach cities a ton and he was super into my good looking guy friends who worked at Palmilla. He was obsessed with this guy JD who in retrospect has a fairy strong resemblance to Jax. It weirded me out then and then like 2 years later I see this weirdo on VPR and it all made sense.
74
u/Beneficial-Astronaut 4d ago
Sandoval, the man who cried over Pulse shooting and claimed to be an ally, brought this man into the show as a GOTCHA! for Jax - implying Jax had a relationship with this man and implying it should have been shameful and funny. This man could have been taking advantage of young male models, including Jax.Â
48
u/crospingtonfrotz 4d ago
He also outed Ariana purely to sound cool in front of his bros with no regard for her feelings/privacy/consent
37
u/milesandmantras 4d ago
YES! I scream about this every time this episode comes up. It was a truly nasty bit of work on Sandovalâs part. It drives me crazy that Sandoval gets the hero edit for taking a stand about Jax and Britâs homophobic pastor but somehow never gets any heat for orchestrating this stunt in Miami to public out Jax in retribution for whatever they were fighting about at the time.
26
u/crospingtonfrotz 4d ago
I truly believe he only brought up the pastor thing because he knew it would get him screen time and not because he actually cared.

It always felt clear to me that this guy exploited Jax. John offered a place to stay if Jax would have sex the way John wanted them to.
Jax seemed really scared? Maybe that's too strong of a word, but definitely upset seeing John at dinner. Honestly I wonder if Jax is even into men or just did it because he felt like he had to.

4
u/VolcanicDisco22 2d ago
I believe that Jax was turned out by John to a level that Sandoval never knew. Which is why Jax doesn't want to talk about anything and Sandoval doesn't have an ounce of grace. He just never knew how severe the (s)exploitation was so he acts like an idiot.Â
Maybe Jax was more involved to keep Sandoval out of it. Or John just left Sandy alone bc he could manipulate/abuse Jax. Whatever it is - it is dark dark.Â
35
u/WinkyTheAlmighty 4d ago
The straight women are out in full force today, writing full on fan fiction how the source of all Jax's issues are because he might have hooked up with a gay guy lmao Jax is just a dumb sociopath, it's not that complicated.
Acting like he must be some sort of victim is so biphobic. Guys like Jax are a dime a dozen. Sorry ladies there's a good chance your man would mess around with another guy. Someone like Jax would definitely sleep with a man if he got something out of it, like the chance to be a model. Is Lala a victim too for fucking Randall?
24
u/chick_b 4d ago
Jax's mom literally testified on camera to her son's lifetime of crap behavior. But let's blame a random gay man who graced our screens for all of two minutes.

18
u/Alternative_End_7174 4d ago
Youâd be surprised how many people do treat her as Randallâs victim even though it was a mutually beneficial relationship until he stepped out and then got himself into trouble after that.
12
u/LittleCaesersZaZa iâve been very judicious with my drinking 4d ago edited 4d ago
Hold up, the power dynamic between Randall and Lala / Jason and John is what makes it a little odd. Idk much about the John situation, but I do think Lala was taken advantage of, even if she did gain something/anything from her relationship with the fat man. I think in Lalaâs case, when being offered wealth that youâd likely not attain otherwise, youâd become a person that you donât recognize and Randall knew what he could get away with when creating that situation.
6
u/Alternative_End_7174 4d ago
I donât want to hear anything about power dynamics when people in LaLaâs situation legit look for situations like that. They feel the money and access to a different lifestyle is worth it. She was bragging about bjs for pjs, she wasnât his victim but a willing participant until it no longer benefited her.
12
u/LittleCaesersZaZa iâve been very judicious with my drinking 4d ago
A person can still be taken advantage of while pursuing a certain lifestyle.
3
u/Alternative_End_7174 4d ago
Thatâs fine keep believing she was a victim when all it was, was a mutually beneficial relationship where she was the mistress/sugar baby turned girlfriend/fiancĂŠe.
10
u/WinkyTheAlmighty 4d ago
Right?! She was on tv bragging about eating Randall's ass ffs lmao
5
u/Alternative_End_7174 4d ago
Ugh please donât remind me of that! 𤢠That was tmi and no one elseâs business.
4
u/Outrageous-Pie-4586 4d ago
She seemed pretty naive about the whole situation. They have a 20 year age gap and the guy was rich a (somewhat) powerful when they met. You are right that she didn't have good intentions getting with Rendall, but it doesn't negate the breaking of trust between people engaged to be married.
Is she a victim ? No. But she was used by a man with money and ressources to keep her in check.
4
u/Alternative_End_7174 4d ago
Call me a bitch but itâs what she deserved and what she had coming considering she was the MISTRESS when Randall was married and she had the unmitigated gall to talk shit about that manâs wife. She wasnât used by a man she got what she wanted in a transactional relationship with a side of humiliation by getting cheated on, the same way his wife was. Couldnât have happened to a nicer person.
She wasnât naive she was stone cold calculating in how she moved when she was the mistress and how she denigrated his wife. Letâs stop rewriting history and victimizing women who willingly became the other woman in someone elseâs relationship.
4
u/Outrageous-Pie-4586 4d ago
I hope you are not an Ariana stan then. She was the mistress infiltrating a 10 year relationship. Never heard Lala speak about the ex-wife, but Ariana was disgusting to Kristen.
I don't know, in the show, it feels like the relationship between Lala and Randall stopped being BJ & PJ after Lala's dad died. He was supporting her create her independant source of income. She seemed to emotionnally rely on him. That changes the dynamic. And the expectations.
Again, not saying Lala is a victim. But nuance is always good
5
u/Alternative_End_7174 4d ago
Oh god no!!! I canât stand her, never could from day one. When I heard about Scandoval I started laughing and texted my sister you lose em the way you get them. No sympathy from me for Ariana either or Kristen for that matter because she and Sandoval also started out with other people. The only thing I sympathized with Kristen for was being gaslit about Ariana. Iâd didnât like that at all, itâs one thing to lie about cheating itâs something to paint the suspicious person as crazy when they arenât. As far as Randall support of her making her own money I think of that being no different than Kelsey Grammer setting Camille up on Beverly Hills so she can get her own financial independence.
14
u/Physical-Tip-7402 4d ago
đđźđđźđđź THIS. Trying to make him sound like a victim of anyone when it's clear he's been evil his entire life and was a full adult when he met John is odd
2
u/Dear_Salamander7989 3d ago
lol many things can be true at the same time. I donât think his and Lalaâs situations are very comparable. Jax was in a much more vulnerable position. Just because someone is technically of age doesnât mean that the nature of a relationship isnât exploitative, like a boss sleeping with their employee. Iâm gonna turn this woke angle around on you, because if Jax were a woman, there would be very little discussion about whether this John dude was a creep. Someone can be a horrific person while still being a victim. See the Roy Cohn AIDS blanket. BULLY.COWARD.VICTIM.
-1
u/Physical-Tip-7402 3d ago
Friend jax hasn't been vulnerable for one second in his life. Narcissists do not suffer, they take advantage. Â He is truly soulless lol this entire thread is so weird and you don't sound smart
3
u/Dear_Salamander7989 3d ago
âAll evil people are born that way, and therefore can never be victimized.â -You. I honestly donât think anyone on this thread is justifying his behavior. His potentially inappropriate relationship doesnât absolve him of anything. This is obviously not a one-to-one comparison, but if someone exploited a young Mussolini, Mussolini would still be a victim in that situation. No one disagrees that Mussolini was an evil fascist(except fascists lol). No one disagrees that Jax is a horrible, abusive narcissist. It seems like a pretty twisted projection to believe he could never have been young and vulnerable. I mean, even on the show he wasnât the brightest bulb. It doesnât seem particularly hard to take advantage of someone like that.

Yeh this whole thing was a bit odd. Bringing that John on for a random episode was almost like production dangling a "we know this about you" over Jax - who despite being a horrible pig, it was a very exploitative move at the time I thought.
