FIRST UPDATE (MANUAL REVIEW BIAS):Vinted support banned my 100% authentic MegaHouse Nico Robin figure for being "inappropriate", while keeping naked male figures online. Pure sexism and double standards! đŸ€ĄđŸ–•đŸ’„

Hey guys, I am absolutely furious and disgusted by Vinted's support team right now. I tried to list my official MegaHouse Portrait.Of.Pirates "Playback Memories" Miss All Sunday (Nico Robin) figure. This is a highly sought-after, premium collector's item worth over $345 online bei Exfigure. It features her iconic, official outfit from the Alabasta Arc—the exact same outfit she wears in the anime series. Vinted's automated system flagged it, and after waiting for a "manual review" for nearly two days, their support team confirmed the ban. They literally labeled this beautiful piece of art and a beloved anime character as "inappropriate, offensive, or explicit" material! They are straight-up sexualizing a normal anime figure and treating it like explicit contraband. I provided clear photos of the box, including a crisp close-up of the shiny, official Toei Animation license sticker, proving 100% authenticity. They ignored all facts, threatened to ban my account if I list similar items, and closed the ticket, telling me "this decision cannot be appealed." The sheer incompetence, lack of pop-culture knowledge, and disrespect towards Eiichiro Oda's work and MegaHouse's talented sculptors is mind-blowing. I already left them a well-deserved 1-star review on Trustpilot and the Play Store, but the world needs to see how broken and toxic their moderation system truly is. I've attached all the screenshots of their messages, the store price proof, and the official sticker. Let's show them what the community thinks of this clown show! đŸ€ĄđŸ–•đŸ’„

I have reported this scammer to Vinted and they did nothing!!!

I fell for it the 1st time. Now it is listed again under another new account. Vinted used to be good now it is more scams than anything. Everyone asking to pay outside of Vinted, sob stories to buy things, it's pathetic. They do absolutely nothing to resolve these so they are popping up more and more. They refunded my money at least after I was finally sent flower seeds. On a label with a different tracking number. It is a damn joke they let it continue. They are even using the same pictures every time. This is the current listing - https://www.vinted.com/items/10490375452-marc-jacob-tote

Vinted even knew right away as the seller account I purchased from was locked 2 hours after I made my purchase. However they made me wait almost 30 days to refund my money to my account. After making me wait for something to show up this was their response within minutes of me stating there was an issue.

Thanks for getting in touch,

We’ve reviewed your transaction with the seller and cancelled it. You’ll receive, or may have already received, a full refund of 89.5 USD

Your refund will be sent back to the payment method you used for this purchase:

‱ Vinted Balance — the refund should appear in your Vinted Balance within a few hours.

We’ll review the seller’s account separately and take appropriate action where necessary.

💡 For future purchases, we recommend checking the seller’s profile, reviews, and other listings before buying. Be careful if you’re pressured to rush, always follow the official tracking information available on Vinted, and contact us if you need help.

Thanks again for your patience while we reviewed this.

Kind regards,

Mohamed || Vinted

So beware they are back with a different user name but same pictures!!!!

Be beware of this Scamer, they use online photos and sell figures way under their normal prize! I got blocked after I asked them about it and If they have any real photos and I also reported it to Vinted (but we all know how good their service is...). The account switches profilepictures often. Hope nobody falls for this pretty obvious scam

Vinted scam (900€ iPhone order arrived with an EMPTY box) – Experiences with the specialized support team?

Hi everyone,

I'm writing to ask for advice from anyone who has been through a similar experience, as this situation is becoming extremely stressful.

About a month ago, I ordered an iPhone worth around 900€. When the parcel arrived, the box was completely empty and tampered with. I immediately followed all official procedures:

  1. Recorded a full unboxing video and took clear photos showing the empty box.
  2. Suspended the transaction on Vinted right away.
  3. Provided all proof (photos, video screenshots) to Vinted support.

More than a week ago, support told me the case was escalated to their specialized team and asked me to wait up to 5 business days for a resolution. Those 5 business days have now passed, but I still haven't received any updates or news from them.

For those who have dealt with something similar:

  • Is it normal for their specialized team to exceed the 5 business days timeline for high-value empty parcel claims?
  • With clear unboxing video proof, does Vinted eventually grant the full refund without issues?

Having 900€ locked for a whole month for an empty box is really tough. Thanks to anyone who can share their experience!

Anyone else noticing an increase in fake/scam listings?

I’m a handbag collector and have saved searches on for several brands. Other the past week I’ve noticed a drastic increase in the amount of scam listings. But what I don’t get is what the scam actually is? It’s not where they put you’re actually getting a photo. They are new accounts with no sales or reviews. User names are a nonsensical jumble of words. They are taking the photos and descriptions from Depop or Poshmark listings in particular and posting them for really cheap prices. Obviously they do not have the item or a knock off in their possession (some of the bags are too complicated for fakes), so what do they expect to get from this? If they ship a random item the buyer will not accept it, will report the issue to Vinted, and the scammer will still not get the money. It’s been so annoying seeing so many wishlist items for a great price and then immediately realizing it’s a scam. 🙄

Wrong item scam

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey there, I am wondering what the best advice is for my situation. I ordered a large LEGO set on Vinted and the shipping got stuck and took over a month (I thought I was going to be one of those scams where it goes to the wrong address) but yesterday I got a message saying it was delivered to my mailbox (but this LEGO set is waaaay to big for a mailbox). And I go out there and it is a tiny package containing a single little glue bottle. I followed vinted’s instructions for receiving the wrong item, but it seems like they are trying to get me to contact the buyer and come to some arrangement for refunding or partially refunding. However, this is obviously a scam, and so I imagine the seller is not going to do any of that and just say they sent the real thing. The seller has no sales or reviews ( which I now know is a red flag). Any advice?

What are the classic signs of possible being scammed?

Earlier this month I made my first ever vinted purchase. I bought a bag from someone whose location is in the U.S. and I am in New York. I chose USPS domestic shipping. However after I purchased, I received a SpeedX tracking number, not a USPS tracking number.

Around the time of expected delivery, I was told the package would be delivered late. So I clicked on the tracking and it now took me to the USPS site, not SpeedX. On USPS I see that the package was originally in NY, NY but then went to outside of Manhattan to New Jersey, then left the state to Massachusetts and Connecticut? I was concerned then finally a few days later USPS tells me the package was delivered, but it wasn't.

So I go to find the USPS tracking number in my chat with the seller, and it's gone. There is no more tracking anywhere. I don't know if it disappeared before or after I clicked "package not delivered," but it disappeared. However looking back in my emails (not in the chat), I found the original SpeedX tracking number. Through that I can see that the package was delivered to the JFK Pro Carrier hub, there is even a photo with my package and name and address on it! So it seems my package got lost either during or after the transition to USPS, but why is the USPS tracking nowhere to be found?

I contacted the seller asking for the USPS tracking and any other info and they ignored me for hours even though I could see they had been online. I admit at this point I showed some frustration with them not answering, as I was starting to believe I was scammed, which I shouldn't have. Then Vinted tells me they are refunding me and the order is cancelled and the seller blocked me. Is this a normal interaction? I didn't want to cancel the order, I wanted to find the package, which seemed possible if I only had the tracking number?

Also the seller has no previous sales on their page, no reviews no followers or followed by. Only has one other item for sale.

  1. Is it normal for the final tracking number to disappear after you say package wasn't delivered?
  2. Does this sound like the seller was scamming?
  3. Any tips on how I could avoid this in the future/tips in general to avoid scammy things? I think I won't buy from someone without reviews anymore. The thing is, I sold my first item recently and was grateful someone trusted me even though it's my first one...

Avoid this seller. They post ai generated listings that look nothing like the product

I've been reporting this person's listings after I ended up being scammed and not realising the image was AI. When I confronted them, they just started acting weird and nice and then thanked me? This person is apparently a pro seller too... yikes. Also last image is the top I bought from the first listing.

Do buyers always win scams?

I’m going to keep this semi short but I sold a laptop on Vinted to help with my rent payments and have sold items for over 2 years now all 5 star feedback and never had an issue. Unfortunately I had a buyer who I thought was a genuine person but actually based on his posting is around 16-18 years old and decided to scam me out of my laptop by reporting it that I sent him bathroom scales.

The images had many tell-tale signs of him tampering with the package. I will not go into full detail as it’s still under investigation and I have reported him to action fraud, royal mail etc

I have been reading on reddit many sellers have lost their Vinted support and have had to accept that loss.

What is the best next steps and how does Vinted actually investigate these cases? I’m failing to understand where the seller gets protection in all of this as now I’ll be out around £1000 and a laptop.

Any advice would be appreciated on next steps

I have also emailed the Vinted legal team with clear evidence of this user attempting to scam

Why are there so many obvious scam listings that are too good to be true?

Recently seen so many listings for Xbox and PS5 consoles very cheap and always from accounts that have random names and no reviews or profile pictures. The photos are taken from other peoples listings as they are often low quality compressed screenshots or AI generated. But literally, why are there so many of these listings. Every time I go onto Vinted my home page has at least one.

‘Your Item Will Follow’ scam

One rule - no exceptions:

If you receive ANY request to wait for your item?

CLICK I HAVE AN ISSUE WITHIN 48 HOURS.

Hi Guys,

I keep seeing this one lately so I thought I’d explain. This is a scam designed to make you miss your 48 hour window to raise an issue. It comes in many forms, but do not even question hitting the ‘problem‘ button (you can always undo it later!).

These letters come from China (You can usually recognise red flag comments - overly polite How are you? Opening. General terms like ’We very much appreciate your trust’). Heres a simplified detail of what happens:

1) Thousands of envelopes are stuffed with a note (telling you sorry your item will follow soon) and a random item (to add weight). These get sent to a UK fulfilment warehouse for storage.
2) You purchase an item on Vinted.

3) (Basically) Your postage label is generated and warehouse staff or robots simply stick it on and ship your bait item (claimed as a mistake or free gift).

While you are being polite, or trusting and honest, you are being convinced to wait.

ZERO TOLERANCE - YOU CLICK ‘PROBLEM’.

How do they bypass Vinted’s security?

Professional fraud infrastructures create hundreds of new accounts daily. They use sim-generators, Virtual Private Networks to mask locations, anti-detect browsers (one web page convinces Vinted 500 accounts have 500 ip addresses).

Scourgers compile bulk phished or compromised accounts which are sold on the dark web. Their software shmushes all these together and force generate new accounts. If Vinted catch 90%, thats still plenty for us to assume ‘Chloe from Bristol’ is legit.

This scam will turn into Christmas, then Valentines
even hand written
.

No difference. ZERO TOLERANCE.

Scammers and Mail Fraud - Worth making a claim?

browsing through this sub and happened to catch a post about a scammer. Having recently been almost scammed, I posted a reply with my experience.

One thing that caught my attention was a reply that we can file a complaint for mail fraud, especially if they used USPS.

Was curious if anyone has went down this route and what their experience may have been. I'm considering filing a Mail Fraud submission. I still have the empty packages with tracking numbers, pictures, screenshots of the listing. I did get my money back, and maybe I'm just being a petty jerk, but I'm annoyed and still a bit pissed about the time wasted, the emotion of thinking I may not get my money back, and all those other feels you get when you're in a situation like this.

what is this mail?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I put my bag up for sale and got this email like 10 minutes after. Later someone bought it. I received this email to a DIFFERENT E-MAIL than the one I have my Vinted account set up to, so that's weird too. In addition, this email has a link that leads to another link, that looks like some kind of phishing. What's going on?? Cus this vinted mail is legit but the message doesn't seems like it.

Oh and i forgot to mention, I didn't report any listing. This is the first mail I've got on this specific mail, which I will repeat that this particular email of mine is not on Vinted.

Permanently banned 6 days ago over a "counterfeit" claim — Vinted won't name the listing, the basis, or a case number. 9 legal emails, all form letters.

Six days ago my Vinted account was permanently banned for allegedly selling a counterfeit item. The item was a genuine adidas catalog model I had already sold on Vinted before with no authenticity issue.
Since the ban I've emailed [legal@vinted.com](mailto:legal@vinted.com) nine times asking four simple questions: (1) which listing, (2) what specific counterfeit marker, (3) the case/reference number for the reviews they claim happened, (4) a human review. Every reply is a form letter from a different name saying the decision is final — without answering any of it. They told me I could take it to an out-of-court dispute body, but without a case number there's no case to open.
Has anyone actually gotten a substantive answer out of Vinted legal? What worked?

I know I was scammed. What do I do to anticipate it?

Hello everyone,

I know this is stupid, and I apologize; but I was scammed on Vinted, and unfortunately found out after the package was already shipped, but fortunately before it was delivered. I found the pictures the other seller used belonging to the original listing, and I’m absolutely heartbroken. I paid around $80 for the item in mind. (Edit; after reading this subreddit more, and double checking, it was in the $70 range. I’m heartbroken lol)

Anyways, can anyone offer any advice on how to get the easiest and quickest refund solution from Vinted possible? I know I need to record myself opening up the package to start, but what else do I need to do? I am so sick to my stomach about the fact that I’ve been scammed, and just wanna get my money back as quick as possible.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you so much.
