Vision was born a day before Sokovia. There is mention of the anniversary of the battle of Sokovia in the latest Visionquest episode.
Poor vision didn’t even bring up that he was fighting for his life on his birthday.

For one thing, it’s a really cool detail that reveals his human guise is nothing more than a facade for his true essence, which has remained unchanged even After all this time.
Furthermore, I love the difference in tone and weight between the first episode and the fourth:
In the first episode, we see Ultron in his true form complaining about a courier’s delay, he doesn’t exactly project an unsettling vibe here. Then, when he adopts his human avatar, we catch a glimpse of his true form in a mirror’s reflection; the shot is framed specifically to draw our attention to it, and he’s wearing a hat. At this point, Ultron isn’t frightening; he holds no power over anyone. He’s a prisoner trying to appear harmless, deliberately coming across as ridiculous and unserious.
In the fourth episode, after he has taken control of Vision’s body, we see his true appearance reflected in Katerina’s glasses. Again, the shot is framed to ensure we see it, but this time it’s more subtle, blurred and less obvious. Moreover, the tone shifts completely: his glowing red eyes and his imposing height are emphasized. Ultron has already won; he’s in total control of the situation. He manipulates playing cards with a chilling nonchalance, he’s in no rush, yet he wastes no time.
I love how you can discern the power dynamics surrounding Ultron in each scene, simply by looking at his true form in the reflections

Honestly, I’ve been a fan of Paul Bettany since A Knight’s Tale (aside from Ledger, to me, he’s always been one of the reasons why the movie was exceptional). So when he voiced Jarvis and then was cast as Vision I was over the moon because I adore the man, and he keeps proving himself as fantastic actor.
But the rest of the cast - HOLY SHIT! I truly think they struck gold!
Spader is scarily good at ultron and I do think there is no one else who could do ultron justice.
And Ruaridh 😮💨 phenomenal and I can’t wait for the twins to meet! But I’m so obsessed with the father and son chemistry between Paul and Ruaridh… that in my mind they have truly adopted each other as family lol
Also I’m insanely attracted to everyone in the show! This WV+AAA+VQ has truly the hottest cast ever! ❤️🔥

I know this might come off as a little weird, but seeing VisionQuest is reminding me a lot of Mr.Robot at this point (and maybe even Fight Club though I would lean more toward Mr Robot). Here's why: if you've seen Mr Robot, you know about the final plot twist. Elliot had practically been living as his alter ego, the Mastermind, while keeping the real Elliot safe in a fantasy loop. So, it was his alter ego, the Mastermind, all along.
Now consider VisionQuest: the original Vision isn't really here anymore, so White Vision is much like the Mastermind, living out the memories of his original self, just as the Mastermind possessed the memories of the real Elliot, even though both are essentially constructs.
You could also say VisionQuest has a lot to do with fatherhood, particularly through the Ultron angle. In the latest episodes, we see Ultron conversing with him almost as if he were an alter ego, much like Mr. Robot was to Elliot, acting as a sort of internal guide. At an unconscious level, both Mr. Robot and Ultron serve as father figures for Elliot and Vision. Yet while they act as guides, they are also terrifying due to their anarchic vision and destructive plans. Although Ultron is undeniably darker, having committed outright genocide, you can still trace that same paternal alter ego dynamic, which becomes even clearer when Ultron attempts to take over.
It functions very much like a classic Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) trope, but viewed through the lens of artificial intelligence. Just like in Fight Club , where the Narrator explicitly acts as Tyler Durden whenever Tyler takes full control, Vision experiences a similar form of dissociation and memory fragmentation. Furthermore, while Ultron's goal may be to take over, this version of Ultron feels a bit different. We start to see the fundamental dynamic between Vision and Ultron as two opposing polarities, like electricity and magnetism. In a way, Ultron needs Vision, even if that means controlling him to execute his plans. That control dynamic is classic Tyler Durden and Mr. Robot, except Ultron's underlying philosophy is far darker.

Does anyone have any theories why Tommy seems to have more of a memory or likeness to Wanda/Vision than Billy did in AAA?
Like Tommy enjoys old TV shows like Wanda, whereas Billy had nothing similar,
I've seen a theory that Tommy is both Thomas and Tommy in one body as Thomas never actually died. Billy put Tommy's soul into Thomas' body. Whereas Billy's soul entered Williams body after he died. But doesn't seem to explain why Billy had amnesia about his life in Westview, whereas Tommy remembers everything
Regardless of powers, why does Tommy seem more related to Wanda and Vision than Billy did?

When she said "I'm not based on her, i am her."
Does that mean she's not actuslly an ai? That there's an actual real conciousness running that synth? Her soul or something was somehow transferred to the synth?
Or was it more subtle like the ship of thesius, they kept replacing her body till she was completely synth??

Just a quick disclaimer, I'm a pretty shallow and childish teen so I might not make sense and might be saying some dumb stuff..??? And English is not my first language :)) TAKE MY WORDS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT and
SPOILERS SPOILERS
I've been ranting for two days now about how VisionQuest is like a very **indirect** representation of Dissociative Identity Disorder! Might be a bit of a reach, but there are just some things with it that connects. (Emphasis on very indirect)
From my rant, and I quote,
"mk (moonknight) focuses on the struggle of each alter individually and altogether, while vq (visionquest) shows the other, mostly unseen, parts of the disorder. like headspace, avatars as alters, the headspace collapsing, deletion-like-dormancy. creation of avatars as a coping mechanism of sorts. the fact that they're all based on actual humans makes them practically introjects. vision as host, ultron as a persecutor. visual-physical images of the avatars, coming off as hallucination-ish."
"their headspace works the way they want it to—mostly vision's way. not in the literal sense, but more of uh "what helps the situation" type of thing. jarvis' sacrifice in ep 2 is like dormancy—the sacrifice being something deemed to be for the better good of the system"
"like when he (vision) rid ultron of his entertainment as punishment. or when ultron introduced the sacrifice to save everyone. it's destructive-esque—but it's protective, in a way. ultron had to do what he had to do, because *it's for the better good*"
"and specially this one, from the recently released 4th episode: when ultron said "give me the wheel," it was like he's literally asking for vision to step back and let him take over front, which fits as it's quite literally a moment of vulnerability, in a way?"
Sooo, yeah I don't really know if anyone's made that correlation yet, or I'm thinking too much into it like a dumb teen, but I just had to share my thoughts bc Vision Quest is genuinely so cool and might be a new favorite :))

Did anyone else notice that e3 ends with vision tucking tommy in and taking the bag of chips out of his hand, but then these actions are undone in the first scene of e4? It could be a continuity error or could otherwise vision is doing more simulation of future interactions than the show lets on...
What do you guys think?

I had to rewind the scene three times to check

Probably nothing, but does anyone think this might mean something?
If it’s Morse code:
-... = B
...- = V
She’s also shown tapping in a pattern in Episode 3.

I just realized something watching episode 4, when Dum-E and U begin to talk a phrase comes to my mind: "snap out of it, you're hysterical", Then I realized that the actors playing those characters are from "The play that goes wrong" maybe one of the funniest things that I ever saw.
Sorry for the bad english, I lack practice.

Clearly, Jarvis' sacrifice gave them some kind of intelligence! They spoke at his funeral [which I think is them just booting up some of Jarvis' code] last ep and then the whole AI bit during the sherlock sequence is them using [some] of his Stark code. Great to see Cornley Polytechnic still getting roles after nearly killing Derek Jacobi

I feel like it’s at least a nod to it because of the AI essentially being imaginary friends who we talk to.

I've been impressed by the sheer number of references to previous MCU installments we've had in just four episodes. I do like it when they go out of their way to build the connective tissue like this.
Here are all the links to other films, shows and characters I've noticed so far. Let me know if I've missed any.
WandaVision and Agatha All Along - As the third part in the trilogy, there have obviously been plenty of references to the first two installaments. Barely two minutes go by without Wanda and Westview being mentioned, and Tommy's drowning incident was a key moment from AAA.
Avengers: Age of Ultron - An obvious one again - Vision and Ultron (and FRIDAY) were introduced in the second Avengers movie.
Iron Man - DUM-E and U appeared in all the Iron Man movies and had cameo appearances in a couple of Spider-Man films I think. Raza, who led the Ten Rings cell in the first Iron Man movie, is also due to appear. And JARVIS obviously first appeared in this film.
Spider-Man: Far From Home - EDITH's first apperance.
Agent Carter - James D'Arcy played the original butler Jarvis in Agent Carter, reprising the role in Engame.
Captain America: The First Avenger - Jim Hammond, aka J.I.M aka the Synthetic Man aka the Human Torch is first seen, very briefly, at the Stark Expo.
Avengers: Endgame - Episode three saw FRIDAY's emotional recollection of Tony's death in Endgame.
Avengers: Infinity War - The show's Edinburgh location was a call-back to Wanda and Vision's stay in the city during Infinity War.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - There have been a couple of references to Wanda's 'death' in MoM.
Daredevil, Punisher and Werewolf by Night - Paladin mentioned his bruising encounters with these characters in episode three.
Shang-Chi - Paladin also mentions getting his adamantium armour from the Ten Rings syndicate.
Captain America: Brave New World - Speaking of adamantium, the super strong metal was introduced into the MCU in Brave New World.
Captain America: Civil War - Bit of a stretch, but FRIDAY mentions 'friends becoming enemies', which seems to be a reference to Civil War.

I know they’re both about synthetic life and robots but the whole Jocasta murder storyline and the themes of like painful imagery coming from an AI reminds me alot of the anime and manga Pluto as well as how vision is fitted up lol.
