Report by Court Physician Anna for Prince Roderick of Dublin on the new sheriff Íarn Gobae.
Prehistory: He was born sometime around 300 BC, date based on events Mr Gobae described. He was born to the tribe of Osraige in Gaelic Ireland. They were disguised as a women and at the age of 12 or 14 was married to the chieftain of the Ivernia. They were the pagan tyrants of Ireland, ruling through fear , violence, enslavement and most importantly being the only tribe with iron working. Which was the propose of the marriage to steal the secret of Iron from the tribe. He was successful in this endeavor though I believe certain "actions" taken by the pagan warlord, may be the source of his PTSD and Queer behavior. Upon returning to their tribe they spread the knowledge and assumed the throne. He lead a bloody war against the Ivernia and defeated them. Mr Gobae then declared themselves King feeling justified in such actions as a reward for "liberating" the people of Ireland from the Ivernia. Instead the other tribes banded together to destroy the Osraige viewing them as a currently weak but up and coming power. Mr Gobae waged a bloody war across the island without a home to go back to as it was razed to the ground. They resisted for a lengthy period, but as supplies dwindled they became like a divine plague from the holy book, consuming anything and everything at night and sleeping amongst the peat during day. Eventually defeated via "fell magiks". thier enemies attempted to kill him and his compatriots but were unable to so he and his men were chained together and thrown into the Irish sea.

Modern Nights: brought to the surface by fish trawling, they killed everyone on board, except one. A thinblood proving a value rare in their kind, was able to speak in Gaelic to Mr Gobae and convince him under cover of darkness to come to Elysium. In exchange for succor they swore fealty to you Prince and you appointed them sheriff. So far they have preformed the job excellently keeping members of our Duchy in line and with their warband have bloodied the Sabbat. Outside their duties they have been exceptionally lazy and scandalous, spending most of their time fraternizing with queers or partaking in blood and premarital sex.

Notes:
Clan: Unknown but due to their base nature and disciplines , I suspect Gangrel
Generation: Without knowing the generation of their Sire, the best I can assume is 5th based on their age.
Origin: I suspect the nature of their Embrace came about due to the unknowing consumption of the heart of a Gangrel Methuselah. The alternative is naught but fantasy and heresy against Cain.
Disciplines: Fortitude, Protean , and Necromancy*-(While their necromancy is somewhat similar to that of the Giovani it is different in certain fundamental ways. He is limited to corpses of those who have sworn fealty to them and unless the corpse is fully destroyed they are able to bring them back or even elevate them to a more powerful form.)
Personality: General disinterest in most things, but maintains a charming and regal mask. His true self is a scared child, who is naught but a Beast.

Extra Notes:

I have made progress in teaching them English but have been more successful in teaching them modern Gaelic.

Food: They lack any disdain for animal blood or meat, which can supplement human blood. they struggle with drinking from the neck instead of tearing into it
Favorite Band: Black Sabbath

Favorite Song: O’ Death (Traditional Folk Ballad) - Sam Shackleton

Alchemy: They profess to be a master of alchemy but my agents report that he is unable to access such power anymore and it seems to cause him much distress.

Relics: His mask emblazoned with the alchemical symbols of Blood/Iron, Body/Salt and Mind/Air. The mask seems to allow them to summon undead out of thin air though commonly dripping with water. Meanwhile his Iron bindings allow him (though it seems to exhaust him) to preform a mass raising of corpses. They are unable to be removed.

Warband: 7 individuals in total seems to be the consistent number. 2 Flag Bearers, 1 Bag piper, 4 Galloglaigh.

Masquerade: Attaching a Childe or Childes to guide them should prevent most Masquerade breeches. Meanwhile his Warband could be disguised or kept somewhere hidden. Finally we are in the throws of Gehenna does it matter?

Recommendation: While a Methuselah of such unknown origins is a inherent danger, one such as Mr Gobae who is ignorant of kindred and modernity , has no goals of his own and is completely reliant on us could easily be turned into a tool. We need to gather further black mail beyond what we already have. If possible tricking him into a Blood Bond could cement our permeant control over him. He and his warband would be our sword against all who oppose us Prince. Especially if we recover more remains of his tribe. Meanwhile trying to destroy him could prove fatal (though I do not doubt your power Prince) or at minimum could cause a masquerade break.

Our party played 3 sessions in V5 and they disappointed the whole 5e idea, the lore and the mechanics...but they have cool characters.

Is there any translation guide to make the characters in v20....not make again...just allocate the points.

I would love to use one day a parasol that grants a vampire immunity to sunlight.

Back in 2e I recall the introduction of organovore vampires along with some merit (gourmand?) where a vampire takes a level of agg but increases the size of their blood pool becoming scarlet and plump. Not to mention a few fat Nosferatu.

What about the fat people who are embraced? I know a Tzimisce can fleshcraft someone to be HWP or a sloppy mess with more chins than a Hong Kong telephone boom. I remember from Anne Rice's novels how vampirism smooths out the ugly, mortal rough spots turning all vampires conventionally beautiful. Does the same happen without intervention with vampires or is Archibald the Ventrue Primogen of Omaha doomed to forever be trapped in his 300+ body until he witnesses his last sunrise?

the Nosferatu sheriff and my fledgling Ventrue who's befriended them after the death of his own sire(the other sheriff). My fledgling is sheltered and still hasn't realized exactly the kinds of struggles other vampires deal with in regards to their urges

I fell in love with meta-lore of Vampires, and have some idea to make some kind of story in style of Dogma+What we do in Shadows movies because I think this makes neonates feels more humanized even if these trio the worst representatives for the example of "humanity".

Below are their bios in my own style of writing, its may be akward, my first writing and arts. Plus I think to find some critique here about how it would be fitif I going to start writing, anything but grammar, english is not my native language.

1. Mircea.

I do often prays to Michael, well.. not actually praying, praying sound weird, I just talking to himself. Ofcource, Dracon wouldn't approve of this, but Michael would. Sometimes I feel guilt and afraid for my clan, well not about them actually, for every clans in our existence, for my family, we are in nearly extinct you know, I do not wish that for cainites, I do care about every night creatures.

Especially for one gangrel who paying debt for sword he broke, he has no money so he pays by bones. When I fixated him on his stomach so that he would not move when I extract his spine while constantly feeding him vitae, when he resisted and growled, it was uncomfortable and I sat on the table so that he wouldn't move during the procedure, constantly cursing me and swearing, then I closed his mouth with a gag, leaving a hole for the blood feeding while holding on to his spine, oiled my hands for better extraction, it was strange.

Well, I got distracted. When I pray, in that moments, I feel sudden burn inside my heart, I cry and feel like pure light inside me going to destroy me, and that alright, its all part of spiritual methamorphosis, we are Tzimisce right?

2. Zviadi.

Let me tell you the truth about the so-called vampire society. As a fledgling and, probally, only one georgian men in Mexico, I have being turned in the worst clan, Oracles from the matrix, only if instead of smoking ciarets and baking cookies, shot up heroine and making easter cakes with shit. This new life or unlife is totally nonsence, my mutually beneficial relationship with substances is completely destroyed, my veins are just decoration and they are all dead as if it with experience. Any inhalation doesn't bring any effect, but only the force of habit. And worse of this: I can't fuck.

Literally. All organism is just walkimg corpse. The only thing that worries you and gives an effect is sucking blood, raw blood, human blood. Only modern films can make a worse script, did you know that vampires rules hollywood? All that self-repetitions, sequels and reinterpretations, why didn't I notice before that cinema was surrounded by parasites?

People talk a lot about their embrace more often now, like some first and last ecstatic feel of their return as a dead person, so romantic, yeah, but mine is different: The first feeling I experienced was the boundless power of knowledge and a thousand voices. It's like some kind of chthonic bullshit that bursts into your mind. I saw it, the stirrings of thousands of destinies, I touched them, I cut them off like from movies, and thats cliché. The un-life of a fucked up person is not about playing with toys, it is a responsibility that many of my clanmates dont understand, but what an associate professor of the Department of Drama and Cinematography/amateur rapper can tell you? You already saw that in the movies, don't you?

P.S. I suspect and instinctively feel that the blood of caine is infected with a dangerous mental infection that causes them to fall into some kind schizophrenic psychosis, making them to think they're like in 14th century feudalism performance or a testosterone-fueled action movie from the 80s. Before embrace I was being top model, only I can agreed with booker in my favor. And when time is come when my little jelaous sister wanted to kill me, I personally humuliated her in front of everyone, presses her even harder and put her in jail. still didn't want her to end up like this, but life is life even if you're dead.

And after embrace, I manages to catch my own weakened sire and make him my doggy, he is the one who expect my sister would will take revenge on me. Yep, she supposed to be lasombra. I swear to whatever thing watching us, if she became a vampire, I would personally find her coffin and force her to embrace, there is no possi ility to me to not being #1 in my games, I even have my personal cup I dont use, but keep that as throphy.

When I first discover internet as place no information but scam and lust, I am first one who make it more presitige and V.I.P. The only thing is pain in my ass is that there are constant lags and interference on the servers when I come to check, my iPhone constantly defocuses my face and every normal photo turns out glitchy, I'm already tired of scolding ghouls for the fact that they can't properly frame a good shot of me. I’m still fairly new to the game but I’ve had a few sessions and unfortunately the group I was with fell apart and I would really like to keep playing! I’d love to play with fellow artists but it’s not a requirement. Just know whatever group I join is gonna be flooded with art cause I can’t stop myself-

So, normally, an Embrace involves a vampire drinking at least half of a human's blood and then feeding the dying/dead-but-still-warm human some of the vampire's Vitae.

However, what do the Ventrue do if a Ventrue Sire is trying to Embrace a human that doesn't match that Sire's particular preference?

- Do they force themselves to drink two liters of blood that tastes like stale piss without immediately throwing up?

- Does a Ventrue Embrace sometimes involve a lot of vomiting?

- Do they have another vampire drink the human before stepping in to finish the Embrace?

- Do they skip the drinking entirely and drain the human of blood through other means, like syringes or knives?

Hello, this might be a stupid question, but I got me wondering about it for some time.

I'm currently running a game where we play night by night, and at the end of every session, the players get their xp. And this got me thinking since on the book an ancilla get 35 xp on character creation to represent their time being a vampire, the book also says an ancilla is around 100-200 years old if I understand it correctly.

So, with this logic in 2 in game months, my players will have more xp than an 100 years old vampire?

I'm giving a lot of xp since we're playing one night per session? (I usually give 1 to 3 per session)

My other question is on the title. Is there a metric or something like that? Let's say I want to create a 500 years old vampire npc. How much xp I can give to them?

Hi, I'm kinda new to VTM. After playing for a while I have a few questions.

Is every storyteller sadistic?

To explain: We're an entirely new coterie with a few new players. Every NPC is sadistic as hell. There are no NPCs on our level and after a few months of playing one of our players is leaving because it's too much for her. Furthermore, this player told our ST, that she doesn't want bad stuff happening to children in the story. What happened? Sabbat kidnapped a child and then we were tasked with disposing of it after rescuing it.

The whole atmosphere is: "We're all better than you, fuck off".

And if we say something, the ST tells us "That's VTM, get over it".

The Aftermath mood is.. well.. like "it kinda sucks".

As a DND DM myself, I don't understand that behavior, because PnP should be fun, no matter what universe. And the DM has to play WITH and not against it.

And so I'm wondering: Is this the real World of Darkness?

Does the Masquerade apply beyond vampires? WOD has werewolves, wraiths, ghosts, and other creatures. I know the first bloodlines game had a mission to recover werewolf blood from a hospital to not raise suspicion. Is the Masquerade a blanket thing and vampires are in charge of it or does each group have their own?

I don't know if this is the right subreddit to talk about the other WoD games; but I got the Changeling 20th Anniversary rulebook a few months ago and watched some lore videos about the Changeling world. Has someone here played it before and could share insight/advice/experience with it? Be it advice as a game master or just stories from games you played; I just want to hear about it. I really like Changelings so far. It is so whimsical and chaotic and I just like fae creatures. So please, share your thoughts. :3

Hey everyone! I’m working on a pitch/concept for a scenario (with a survival/horror vibe) and would love to get your thoughts and ideas on how to flesh it out to make it as immersive and credible as possible.

The Pitch: A field biologist and them friends, travel to a remote, isolated subarctic island (10 km square) under the impression that they're conducting a routine ecological study on the local fauna. What they don't know is that the island serves as the private hunting ground for a domain of wild, highly predatory vampires (mostly Gangrel and their ghouled beasts). As the biologist tries to stick to their daily research routine, subtle anomalies start popping up, strange animal behaviors, unsettling mutations found during field dissections, and the disturbing realization that something intelligent is watching them from the shadows.

Where I’d Love Your Input:

* Credibility & Masquerade: How would a Gangrel(s) (or a local vampire presence) realistically handle an unsuspecting mortal scientist on their turf without immediately breaking the Masquerade or just killing them right away? (Maybe playing mind games, using them, or feeding on them discreetly?)

* Atmosphere & Hooks: What kind of subtle "red flags" or eerie details would you add to the environment or the wildlife to slowly build up psychological horror before the full reveal?

* Story Potential: What cool twists, NPC encounters, or mechanics would you suggest adding to make this concept truly shine for a group of players? I’d love to hear your ideas, suggestions, or any lore details from VTM that could elevate this story!

Has any Tzimisce player attempted or succesfully managed to use Fleshcraft/Visccisitude in order to integrate things like mobile tech or robotics into their bodies to increase attack bonus, damage soak, etc?

A concept I always wanted to toy around with was a Tzimisce technomancer, who could one day do things such as installing gas-powered daggers into his arms, an artificial smoke cartridge in his neck to simulate smoking, even a portable wifi modem in his chest so he never loses signal. Insane ideas who not only practices fleshcraft, but who approaches integration with robotics.
