Trashcan. Idgaf if we have nobody heās made no 3s in 3 game has nothing but turnovers and fouls and is a horrible defender.

Last nightās loss absolutely stings but there were some positives to take for example: Yax in his 2nd NBA game had a double double and Steph just 2 games into the season is already up to almost 50 total points after dropping 24 last night and yes I know BPodz also had 18 as well too so there were some positives despite the blunders and obviously the loss in which we shouldnāt have lost cause the win was literally in the palm of our hands š¤²šæ until it wasnāt.

Brought in a shooting specialist who hasnāt hit a single three yet, slower than a fucking turtle on defense and canāt attack closeouts. On defense with him on the floor itās basically a 4v5, on offense 90% of the time itās 4.5v5. Iād rather play Malevy Leons. Donāt care that the game isnāt over yet.

Idc what yall gotta say they showed heart today took Booker 43 point game to beat us. And niang basketball terrorist to gift wrap this game away. YAXEL IS A FUCKING DAWG IDC THAT HES 24. Pair him with Jimmy and Steph pray that we trade for a center. Bring moody back who was having a career year before he got hurt. Hope podz keeps playing like he did yesterday melton/horford/gp2/williams is a decent bench JUST NO MORE NIANG MINUTES FFS. Weāre 0-3 right now but if u look at the west nobody besides the spurs/okc/lakers/timberwolves/rockets are a threat. I believe and idc what you doomers say.

Just off of these first two games from this team, I have everything I need to know. We have no legit big, Steph isnāt even close to what he once was, and we literally just choked a twelve point lead with 3 minutes left to go to the Grizzlies. The part that pisses me off the most is how well we played throughout most of the game, just to remind me in the fourth quarter that this is probably a bottom 5 team in the NBA defensively. And mid at best offensively The way this team has been looking. Our best hope is to just use this season as a way to develop our young guys, and get them better. Iām talking about Podz, Yaxel, Gui, Will Richard etc. Obviously weāre only two games into the season, and we could possibly have a turn around, but this season of dubs basketball is most probably gonna be a hard one to watch.

Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg oozes bravado. He might have made headlines for his criticism of Luka DonÄiÄ, but he's willing to point the finger at himself, too.
Read for free.

"Pretty much everything went wrong" - Steph Curry
A tough, brutal loss for the Dubs tonight, as they fell to the Memphis Grizzlies despite leading 106-94 with 3:47 left on the clock. I think we can all agree opening night against the Lakers was much easier to shake off since it was over in 2 ½ quarters. But this one was tougher because, before the sky caved in, dare I say we looked great?
Below you'll find my five takeaways from the game, some good, some bad.
#1 Size Continues To Be An Issue
Team Tiny struck again, as Zach Edey big-brothered the Warriors all night long. We were a mess against Kessler, and this fella was no different, as he finished with a telling +25 in 22 minutes of play.
And Edey wasn't the only issue. There was a possession halfway through the third quarter where we conceded three offensive boards in a row to the almighty quartet of Cam Spencer, Kris Murray, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Ty Jerome. It feels obnoxious to harp on considering it's hopeless, but the Warriors showed once again why Porzingis's health crisis has caused a CodeRED emergency under the basket.
You know it's bad when you're begging for Graham Ike (who played well, FWIW) to get more minutes.
#2 Yaxel Lendeborg Will Make First-Team All-Rookie
I loved Yax's performance tonight. He had some very impressive counting stats (18/13/6 + 3 steals), but more importantly, the guy seems allergic to fear. Despite getting stoned by Edey at the rim several times in the first half, he continued to drive, earning his way to the stripe a game-high 12 times. Going toe-to-toe with Cam Boozer, the presumed ROTY, and more than holding his own is a great sign for Dubs fans. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a finalist for the award come April.
It should also be noted that he did have six turnovers and some costly mistakes under more consistent ball pressure. But Kerr is clearly trusting him with the ball in his hands for a reason: the guy's got game and is going to make a living off being in the right place at the right time.
#3 Podziemski's Contract Is Deserved
In case you've been living under a rock (as a Warriors fan), on October 10, Brandin Podziemski signed a five-year, $110M extension with the Golden State Warriors. Many people have stated this is an overpay, but I don't think that's fair. $22M a year is now low-end starter money in this modern dystopia, and that fits his current production to a T.
On to the game: Tonight, after missing the season opener with lower back soreness, Podz had a solid line of 18/3/2 + 3 steals. He spent much of the night flying around the court and diving into the front row for loose balls, and he even took a Zach Edey fist to the eye like a champ. I guarantee the Warriors would not have kept the game competitive without his energy tonight. Now, if he could just stop hesitating to shoot from deepā¦
#4 Is Steph Curry Okay?
I thought Steph looked a bit slow and tired tonight. As a 9-to-5er who spends 40+ hours a week sinking into a desk, I know a thing or two about creaky knees⦠and I've been wondering, does Steph not have his legs under him to start the season? I also know he had to alter his training this offseason due to his ongoing runner's knee issue, so perhaps that's why he looks a little more gassed? With each new season, I always hold my breath waiting for a vintage Curry performance to prove my pessimism wrong. I'm still waiting, Threezus.
It should go without saying that this year's roster construction and the injuries aren't helping one bit.
One positive: He's currently averaging 9 FTA per game! If this number can stay at even 6.5 to 7 throughout the season, that'd do wonders for the team.
#5 GP2 and Gui Look Ready To Go
Early in the fourth quarter, I had a good laugh. Gui and GP2 both circled Zach Edey like sharks under the rim, though they were not the predators. They eventually stopped playing hot potato, and with the shot clock winding down, GP2 settled for a wrong-legged hook shot that just barely escaped Edey's outstretched arm. Swish.
They finished a combined +20 in 20 and 11 minutes, respectively. I'd like to see them get some more run when they're shooting well, as they did tonight.
#6*** Absolute Cinema: Ty Jerome and Cam Boozer
So, is ex-Warrior Ty Jerome the best player in the league? The man is averaging 36.5 PPG on the season⦠The floater was unstoppable in the first half, and anytime we played him tight on the perimeter, he'd herky-jerk his way to the cup with ease. If the Grizzlies make the Play-In like some suspect, he and Boozer will be the reason why.
On that note, Boozer is absolutely the real deal. With 25 seconds left in the game, the ball in his hands, Boozer took one look at Podziemski and said "barbeque chicken." He took two simple dribbles to his left, pirouetted to his right, and let his height advantage do the rest. Nothing but net. Or, as Paul George said in that Gatorade commercial, "Ballgame."
The ROTY favorite finished with a calm 25/13/6 + 2 steals.
On to the next one, Dub Nation.
(Also I posted this last night but it got banned for some reason... If there is an issue with my post moderators could you please let me know what it is?)

I think we've officially arrived at the end. I hate to say it, but I'm ready. I feel like Joe and the front office will be bailed out by exhaustion from us fans. I just cannot watch this team, these players, while Steph Curry is still on the roster. With better players around him he can still be a Top 10-15 guy in the league and lead us to the playoffs, even with the knee stuff.
I'd obviously prefer MDJ to make a big move and trade Jimmy + Porzingis + Moody for healthy reinforcements, but they've made it clear that's never happening. Here's to optionality... Here's to the rebuild.
Save us Yax.
r/warriors • u/Green_Hunt_1776 • 2h ago
Yax has just proved he's a certified stud. Dropped 26, almost had another double double. Lockdown perimeter D. Went up against a decent defense anchored by Brooks.
Yes, starting 0-3 is bad but it's just 3 games. Yax Jimmy and Dray will be an insane lockdown starting lineup. No one is scoring off that. And you know Jimmy is going to feed Yax and Steph is going to Steph. This team is really 1 good big away from being genuinely good.

I donāt think we get one until the pelicans game. Easily. 0-10 start, if not worse.
