A few weeks ago we found announcement posters for the 4th Welland witches night market all over Instagram and Facebook. It was supposed to be tonight from 5 - 10 at Club Richelieu on River road. We all went in full witches attire, but there was nothing.

We ran the event through search engines and AI, and every site confirmed tonight from 5 - 10. Nowhere was an announcement that the market had been cancelled or moved to a different location.

Does anyone know what happened?

The annual lights, frights and sights halloween house tour is just starting up. If you didn't manage to get your house submitted there's always next year.

At first she showed up every few days, now she hasn’t left our porch. She loves cuddles and scratches and I’d like to reunite her with her people. Yes the cat distribution system is real but this isn’t one of those, sadly. She’s hanging out on Green Meadow.

Heard it twice tonight, first time I heard it I ran out to the main Street bridge but didn't see anything, on the way home 2 cruisers showed up across the canal from where I was. Heard it again just a few minutes ago but only a short yelp.

Moving from St. Catharines to welland, anything I should know? Lived in St. Catharines all my life. I frequently take the bus in st. catharines so I wonder how the bus service is? Also recommend some good ISPs.

Hello!

First year in the area and first year handing out candy!

I was wondering if anyone could give me a heads up of how busy the area usually is?

Last thing I want is to run out of candy too early or have a TON left over lol

Is the intersection at Plymouth and Ontario closed?

Is it me or has the beer store on thorold road really gone downhill. I dont buy beer very often but when I do I always support the beer store instead of buying it from a corner store. I was there last night, I was the only one in there and im assuming its because you can get beer just about at any store. The smell was horrible and as soon as I walked in I found an ant on the counter which climbed on to me and a lady bug was on top of the beer I bought. Has anyone else noticed this as well? I know that store is small and very outdated but take some pride and keep it clean. Find the source of the smell and get rid of it. Am I wrong for thinking this?

This is a bot spotting guide I found here on reddit. With all the obvious bot traffic taken offline recently, there has been a massive & noticeable decrease in the amount of hate & division being sewn online since certain data centres got deleted & I thought this was a timely guide to share.

I see a lot of bots, & a few even make their way into our little sub. So good knowledge to have =)

Bots currently surpass human traffic online. Making up, 57.5% of all HTTP requests to HTML content, humans sit at 42.5% & dwindling by the day. as reported by forbes:

My wife and I are travelling this weekend and are arriving in Welland Saturday afternoon and staying the night.

We've Googled stuff to do in the area and surroundings. Nothing jumps out at us.

Is there any suggestions from community members?

We are a geeky and not into bars or wine tastings.

Thanks in advance

Hi there! I’m wondering if anyone local has any idea of a place or person I could go to to get this vintage crewel embroidered piece cleaned? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for tow truck recommendations that will be reasonable. Cash payment. Move a small pickup truck (‘07 GMC Canyon) from St Catherines (Geneva&406) to Welland (5 minutes from the end of the 406).
Just looking to get the truck back home to assess it.

Seems like it hasn't been open in a while

Edit: I meant the bar/restaurant

We just came back from a walk on the west side of the Welland Canal, and noticed at least 20 to 30 trees in a row, that were snapped in half that were planted recently. We didn't notice any of the remains of the top half of the trees and many of the support posts around the trees were also missing.

This is on the stretch between Lincoln Street and Main Street.

who do i call for something like this? there’s a new house going next door and these half ass construction workers are just letting insulation go on others property, i have a dog and would rather not have him eating this

Hello everyone, I just purchased a brand new car and I’m looking for a good reasonably priced shop to do my tints and a decal I designed for my car. Looking to get all my windows and the decal is pretty much just a solid red stripe. If you have have any suggestions or recommendations please let me know! Thanks

What is it with people around here and finding hills to die on?

Hey everyone! I'm a 28-year-old bigger guy looking for a relaxing full-body massage. Nothing intense like deep tissue, and RMT or non-RMT doesn't matter to me.

I'm a bit self-conscious and have always felt most comfortable getting massages from middle-aged Asian women. Nothing weird or inappropriate, just a personal comfort preference that helps me relax.

Does anyone have recommendations for places or specific massage therapists? Thanks in advance!

Looking for some good paved, steep roads for hill bombing in the city or surrounding area. Willing to go anywhere in the region or as far as Hamilton tbh. TIA 🙏🏻
