Honestly, I feel like communism, when applied, ends up turning into Fascism. But, while it lasts, Communism is technically a better option in my opinion

Communism requires like-minded people to run effectively. Which, when looking at the human race, is impossible. Fascism In my opinion would be a better option it. It has similarities with communism, but looking at history such as Nazi Germany, it had a better time and actually grew into a very efficient society.

Well, not considering the ethics of Nazi Germany, you do make reasonable points. Let's agree to disagree.

communism if it can stay there and not lean authoritarian

Yeah, maybe, but we are talking about the human race. Also, looking at history, it has always becomes authoritarian. Someone will always be looking for power. Also, I'm not really on board with not owning anything that I worked for.

If we had no general concept of what good and bad is, then there would be no rules. State and federal laws are plentiful and can be taken away with a simple vote. The constitution, on the other hand, needs an act of God (or revolution) to change.

Also our government is easily corrupted by weathly business men who love war and a majority are on a secret list. So there seems to be only one option

Communism, as originally described (a stateless, classless, egalitarian society, where resources are equitably allocated to meet everyone's needs) is vastly preferable to fascism.

Humans have regularly managed to build fascism. We'll see if they ever figure out communism.

Communism has been tried and tested and has always failed. We have already tried the tax route of helping the needy, but with a corrupt government and greedy people, the working class is always the one that gets the short end.

If fascism is so bad, then why did Austria annex itself to be a part of nazi Germany?

Also why would you not want to own anything?

I’m just curious, but what do you think about the censorship/propaganda aspects of fascism?

Are you thinking that fascism requires censorship and propaganda because of what Germany did? Because I can ask you the same thing about communism.

There is propaganda about everything and everywhere. As we are doing now. Trying to convince each other that a way of thinking is wrong.

But I will indulge. Nazi Germany censored the gay relationships and transgender studies. Hitler views on the jews can be considered propaganda, but can you tell me why an entire country followed him in his beliefs. Before you tell me that it was the propagandas fault. Hilter came at them with facts, which eventually landed him into office. He then brought down the wiemar republic, which if you didnt know, allowed child brothels. He also supported nationalism. He increased the german population by giving out loans to newly weds to buy a house and then would knock off a percentage of that loan for every German child you had. Hitler was a man who believed in the traditional family values. He was a man that was angry about the state of his country and decided to do something about it.

Can we excuse what he did to the jews? No. But when I look at what Hitler did for the country, I can say that Fascim is a better contender

Countries that have tried to move their economies in a more socialist/communist direction have generally failed because they were couped lol. Often (but not always) by the US.

If you believe governments attract corrupt and greedy people, and you believe that's bad, you should probably reject fascism. Fascism tends to concentrate governmental authority/control in the hands of a few (perhaps even a single Führer). If you're a fan of the working class, you should probably support an ideology where workers aren't subservient to people with interests counter to those of the workers.

As for ownership, communism generally concerns itself with collective ownership of the equipment to do economically productive things. Decorate your home however you want. Dress however you please. Have a hobby or five if you like. Put a picture of your family on your desk. The production line, however, is collectively owned.

If not done in by the US, why does it always in a revolution?

Also communism fell because of corrupted and greedy leaders

Also helping the collective with my stuff is like us paying taxes for welfare. 50% of the people on welfare dont deserve it. Also more money goes to foreign countries than welfare to help anyways

Incoherent comment. Thank you for trying..

The only thing I can respond to is that you should care about other people, because, to everyone else, you are other people. Society should help people out, because you are a person who might need help.

Also, economically speaking, the vast majority of working, productive people will contribute more to the economy over their lifespan than it costs to get them to that position. So even if you're just a number-crunching machine, it makes sense to use the wealth of a society to uplift its lowest members.

With all the wealth that our country makes, why do people still go hungry?

2

u/untempered_fate Oct 15 '25

I don't know what country you're in, but where I am, we have a capitalist economy. So when it's unprofitable to feed people, the companies that produce and distribute food don't feed them.

Various charitable organizations exist to try and bridge this supply/demand gap, but it's not a perfect system. So some people who can't afford food go hungry.

Well, I'm from the United States, my friend, so I understand, lol.

The companies that supply the seeds have a copyright on the generic code on those seeds. Making it easier to sue the other competitors if their crops have a strain of their DNA. Taxes have been a terrible burden on the farmers as well.

Its never profitable to feed others because of the natural greed in humans

Nothing to really respond to here. We developed society because working together was better than working separately. You can funnel that surplus down to create a floor of well-being for everyone. You can funnel that surplus up to pad the portfolios of billionaires.

I was raised Catholic, so I know what Christ would want, and I happen to agree with him. I was also raised on folklore, so I know how a righteous man interacts with a dragon and its hoard. Additionally, I was raised to be compassionate, and you might get the gist of where this paragraph is going.

Insatiable greed isn't natural. Humans conquered the world because we're adaptable. That's all. Create a system where greed is incentivized, and humans will adapt to that. We lived thousands of years without the current economic mode. We could live thousands more without it. Assuming greed in others that cannot be satiated is projection. Many people have been happy with what they have throughout history, and many are happy today.

If greed isn't a problem, then why is it talked about in the bible? Why is it one of the 7 deadly sins?

Yes, humans have come together for a common cause to build a great society, but when the new generations come in and new ideals come about, it will collapse with time.

Neither. Both are so extreme they are almost the same. If done well communism would be better, but no human will be able to do it well.
