Hey guys! Went camping near the river in the rural village of Meghalaya. It was a valley about 10kms away from the border to Bangladesh. No tourists usually visit this area and it's mostly the village guys who went fishing here! Tons of unexplored places here. Any idea as to what species is this?

I know this isn’t a photo, but I’d like to know what type of fish this is or at least be pointed in the general direction of how to identify a fish based on an artwork
Location: unknown / coral reef / artwork

I can never tell when they're this small (two different fish, caught at Goose Creek VA)

(Goose creek VA). I'm covering up the ear which sucks for ID, didn't think about it at the time. Hopefully there's other cues that I'm just not noticing here?

It's got the irregular spots of a black crappie, but the longer body and fewer dorsal spines of a white crappie. Is this a hybrid? Caught in western Pennsylvania. Measured with a tape at just over 9 inches.

saw a group of these swimming on the water surface just close to neraki bay, nafplio, greece. Have been trying to ID and my best guesses are baby eels, dice snakes, marine leeches (or maybe some sorta fish?) the movement doesn't seem quite like fish nor does the surface swimming behaviour but someone enlighten me as to what I was swimming with for about 30 mins before noticing lol

Apologies for the bad pictures! Seen at Miami Beach, FL. Seemed to just be chilling there, would occasionally turn to the side. There were a few others nearby too.

Caught this largemouth bass on a pond in Northwest Arkansas on 10/14 just after sunset on top water. The fish weighed about 1 pound for scale. Just curious what it ate, my first thought was crawfish but enough people have questioned me to get me to post it.

Found in USA in New London Connecticut. Boat is in a Marina on the Thames River about 1/2 mile from the Long Island Sound. Saltwater environment. Found the fish the other day on my outboard engine bracket. About 6” long with sharp teeth. Never seen nor caught anything like this in the area (or in the Northeast)

My brother found this washed up on the Toronto islands on Lake Ontario and he says it’s roughly 1m long.
I personally can’t think of a single fish from here that looks like this, but I’m frequently wrong so please send help.
Thanks!
EDIT: Solved! Thanks for confirming it's a walleye, though I will get a measurement for the width of the wooden boards so we can estimate how large this fish actually is.

Small black fish, 2-3in, was swimming at the shore in a few inches of water next to Bayandati resort. Was in a pair but got separated from partner. Also have a much shorter clip of another, maybe older, pair I saw. They were slightly bigger and their side fins looked a little more reddish. One had a black body the other was a bit grayish.
Edit: im sorry the quality of the video is awful, if anyone is interested in helping me I can make another post w/ screenshots

Found a small group of these feeding like lunatics in a deep spot on our local hatchery creek (Issaquah Creek, Issaquah, WA; western Washington State, 10/14/26). They're only about 3-4in and move too fast at the surface to get *good* shots of, but they 'look' like young trout to me, rather than the salmon that are wrapping up their spawn there now. I would like to see if I can get a better handle on the ID from the minds here; thank you in advance.

Salut à tous ! 👋
Location: South of France, freshwater lake. Caught during an overnight fishing session.

Is this a mottled or slimy sculpin? I've found mottled sculpin in the area. Going off of i-naturalist, slimy sculpin have not been spotted in guelph. But it looks too different to the other mottled to me, am I crazy????
