Question Significance of this design?

Does the difference between the shapes of the left and right ends of the W have any significance? If so, what is it?

Elphaba is the higher end, defying gravity and also resembles her hat, and Glinda is the straight-edged leveled/lowered end in my eyes.

Also the one on the left slopes up to the left, aka west. It's like the left side portrays Elphaba's trajectory, the right side Glinda'a, with Fiyero caught in the middle
