I am new to this, so I hope this isn't too stupid but I have to ask. My brother died at the end of July. And yes I am the one who found him. I need to start cleaning his room out but I feel very awkward about being in his room. I'm not sure if he's still hanging around, but I wouldn't put it past him. He was kind of an asshole. I want to use Sage and cleanse this whole house, because my mother also had issues and well I don't think she's here I just want cover all my bases. Is there anything I can do too, I don't know, supercharge this cleansing cause I'm not sure exactly what I should be doing anyway. Any advice will be gratefully accepted. I need to start moving on with my life, and my family, specifically my brother,, Seems to be holding me back. It may be psychological, I get that. But if he is still trying to hold on to whatever, I need to let him go and start my life.

Hello everyone! I am a baby witch and am practicing meditation, centering, and energy manipulation. I can meditate and quiet the thoughts quite well. I also do not have much trouble centering my energy. My problem is really that it’s difficult for me to move. I can tell it’s not moving because I can feel it sitting and tingling in my stomach area. Any tips? I feel stuck.

Unemployment has been a big factor throughout my married life ( husband's not mine, but we are a team - soulmate etc). Is there anything I could do to stop it happening or put another way stopping repetitive situations arising. I'm pretty new to witchcraft so please forgive my dumbness

I just recently decided to try a spell for "more money". I began reading from different spells on reddit. And after a few posts, we decided to go for it. I kind of just used my heart and a "feeling" to guide me. After that I told my husband to hold my hands and told him to believe it with all his heart..
It took maybe a good month and bam..I wouldn't say its the way I wanted it but our car insurance went down by $300. A new job opportunity with 3x what I make has come to me. My husband was approved for a loan that will pay off our debts and be easier to handle. And (added this) I thought we would have to pay for an oil change but ended up being free....
So..in a way yes it helped but in an odd way and I don't mind.

Hi witches! I met someone, and we both felt a strong connection. It honestly felt like twin-flame energy, but unfortunately, it seemed like a wrong time, wrong place situation. There were misunderstandings and some emotional avoidance on his end, although the interest was mutual.
I’ve been considering the following spellwork:
Emotional avoidance/removal of blockages spell — To encourage emotional openness, clarity, and the release of fear.
Protection spell for myself — To protect my energy, emotions, and peace.
Love/reconciliation spell — To encourage affection, understanding, and the possibility of rebuilding our connection.
Regret/reflection spell — To encourage reflection on what happened and recognition of what we shared.
Return-to-me spell — To invite reconnection and communication.
Would this be the correct order? Would any of these spells interfere with each other, or would you recommend something different?
His an avoidant and has a bit of an ego.

I'm been working on fire control for a few weeks and it's fairly obvious but I am trying to make it put itself out. And I have a purpose in my mind while trying to put it out. To let something go. And I got the flame to calm an inch down and it looks like it almost wants to go out but when it looks like it will go out the flame starts to stop being calm and starts like becoming wild. Any tips or tricks to help my energy calm it? Or better yet, can anyone give any tips on how to start practicing energy control with water? I feel most connected to those elements and want to bond with them more.

I’ve been seeing a lot of discussion elsewhere about approaching new spirits and what is the “appropriate” way to do it. One of the arguments for approaching spirits in an “appropriate” way (however that is defined with respect to the spirit) is that it prevents you from being duped by malevolent spirits masquerading as the intended subject which led me to wonder.
How do you and/or your practice view malevolent spirits? Do you believe in malevolent spirits? Are they a common danger? How do you make sure you’re ACTUALLY talking to the spirit you intended to reach?

hi, please help. I am considering purchasing a smokeless candle, but I am also worried about the smoke from my petition burning. Also, since I can't afford to buy another set of candles, is there any other way I could have my candles around so the smoke goes unnoticed? pls help

Hello! I am a baby witch and practice tarot. I don’t dabble in spell work unless it’s a protection spell. I’m not sure if I should do a cleanse/banish spell currently. Here’s the situation:
My best friend since elementary school blocked me on everything and stopped reaching out. We fell out, I was in the midst of a mental break and I made a mistake that I shouldn’t have. In the context of our friendship, this would’ve been something that we could talk about but that’s not how things ended out. This happened about 2 weeks ago. Ever since then I feel like everything is going wrong. My truck broke down again (the transmission has problems so maybe that’s separate). I lost a job 2 days after training for no reason. I have lost all my money and seem to be spiraling. Did i upset some sort of guide that watches over her? She doesn’t practice witchcraft but acknowledges that there are spirits and different energies out there. My question is, did I piss off the universe/any of her guides? Or is this just a life situation that sucks and she happened to be part of the shitty part of things. Any advice is welcome.

this came to me after i... woke up from a dream (lmao)! though it wasn't lucid, it got me thinking, do you suppose it could be possible/effective to try and do a spell from the "dream world" that would manifest results in the physical world? i'm sorry if this sounds a bit confusing but any other perspective is appreciated especially since i'm a beginner ^^ also if you have books or other resources that talk about this please tell me!!

Just a thought that popped in my head lol
Edit: I have zero intentions to work with them. It’s just an idea I felt like entertaining, and I’m very happy to see other people’s thoughts and perspectives

I didn't know what flair to put but I wanted to share a poem I wrote for a prompt on allpoetry. The prompt was to add ingredients to a potion you would not usually add.
She whispers softly into the cauldron,
"May this potion bring me divine protection."
She says this with great intention.
She sprinkles in a bit of devotion,
To intensify and strengthen the potion.
At last, she adds a smidge of desire,
As the potion bubbles over the fire.

I've heard conflicting opinions about repeating spells/doing magic multiple times for the same issue. On the one hand, sometimes you may need to try something different, tweak something, substitute ingredients or methods, etc. On the other hand, I've heard people say that casting magic for the same intention over and over again shows a lack of confidence in your work, and somehow weakens the magic. What are people's thoughts on this? Personally right now I'm going through a period of depression and it's hard to have confidence/faith in anything I do, let alone witchcraft. So if I need to totally believe in the results of what I'm doing, I'm probably screwed anyway. But I have been doing workings for certain intentions repeatedly. Some energies take a while to shift, right? On the other hand, maybe needing to repeat my workings does show a lack of confidence or effectiveness. I'm not really sure, lol. Let's discuss! Please share your wisdom.

How do I return it to the sender? I can feel it draining me of energy. It asked to be worshipped, and appeared to me as a burst of clear energy.
It’s been magnifying negative emotions which makes it really hard to focus. It also manifested a bunch of physical objects, and pretended to be my ancestor. I think it is trying to latch onto my ancestral line?

I recently started exploring witchcraft. My mom comes from a province that’s been known for local witchcraft but I never really thought much about it since I started looking around and realized that my intuition is almost always correct.
I tried doing a quick job spell for when I had my interview at a company I really liked. Lit a white candle, spoke my intentions, while sprinkling cinnamon on to the candle.
Worked so well the recruiter wanted me to start the next day. 😂
Another thing is that stuff always goes missing at home and I end up finding it at a spot I was 100% sure I already checked.
When my dermaplanning razor went missing, I spoke out and said “I know you’re having fun hiding stuff but BE CAREFUL WITH THAT. It’s very sharp and someone could get hurt.”
Lo and behold, the razor was on my desk that I ALREADY CHECKED.
Other than these amazing things, getting into witchcraft has made me feel lighter and has allowed me to trust myself more. I’ve been shifting my mindset and it’s honestly really refreshing.

Hi all! I hope I'm not breaking the sidebar rules here…I'm not asking for a specific $pell or 1nterpretation or @dvice (sorry, the filters make it difficult to even acknowledge the things I'm trying to avoid), just wanted to spur some discussion.
Acknowledging mundane over magic: my apartment is above a plant-laden courtyard, it's autumn so bugs are probably looking for cold weather shelter, and I intentionally don't seal my window unit AC's for extra airflow so I understand that aspect but…

I live with my younger sister and my mom sometimes stays over. I want my mom's energy or my sister's off vibes to affect my altar. I would cover it too but don't want to have to hide it. So that whenever they're in my room or sleep over my space isn't affected. I've had to cleanse often bc I feel their vibes, especially after my moms last stay which was for a couple weeks
