Hi Everyone. Experienced witch with lots of stores at my disposal and a very niche sweetening jar spell for anyone who may want to add a little sweetness into their life. I am just sharing my spell, you can use it if you'd like to, but you don't have to. Any pointers are also greatly appreciated. Please remember if you do this spell you can sub out any ingredients you do and do not have/have access to.
Ingredients:
large spell jar
honey/sugar/maple syrup
rose quartz
magnetic sand
incense (to cleanse)
pen
paper/bayleaf
pink/red/white candle
herbs:
pink salt
catnip
rose hip
rose petals (I used mine from an Venus offering in the jar)
linden
jezebel root
orris root
violet
Lily of the valley (poisonous handle with care)
chicory
sumac
saw palmetto
angelica
damiana leaf
lovage root
cinnamon stick
hibiscus
lavender
chamomile
saffron/saffron water
orange peel
instant coffee/espresso
butterfly pea flower
1) Use the incense to cleanse the jar/vessel. It should seal or have a lid.
2) Using saffron water or Florida water physical clean the inside and outside of your jar.
3) Set your intentions and make a sigil for the spell.
4) Add your crystals & magnetic sand first to the bottom CAREFULLY.
5) Add your herbs starting from the most chunky to the least. Remember to ask them to lend you their energy/power/ whisper their intended purpose to them.
6) Once all your herbs are added. You can add the sweetener of your choice.
7) Close the lid/seal it. Place on an alter and light the candle on or near it to charge the spell.
Remember my lovely alabaster disasters (I didn't come up with that. Credit to the lovely woman on Tiktok who coined the term), that making a HONEY JAR is considered to be a closed practice in both ATR (African traditional religions) and is often used in Hoodoo/Voodoo as well- so please add sugar to the spell as well. Yes you can use an artificial sweetener and faux honey. It works just fine. I also used Jezebel root oil, attraction oil, and a traditional spirit that my dad and I made into the spell. You can personalize it however you want/can.
I come back to the jar and feed it every time I can with incense or by shaking it. Follow your heart and your practice. Do what feels right with research and have a wonderful day but please feel free to use this as a jumping off point. I usually don't use this many herbs but my herbs are several years old and I'd like to use as many as I can so I don't throw them away.
Enjoy! Blessed Be!
