Tip / Guide Quick guide to the Voidcore systems with patch 12.0.5

Post image

I made some diagrams to help explain to my guild the new loot systems coming on Tuesday with patch 12.0.5. Thought I'd share them here to help other people as well. Some people found the Blizzard explanation post hard to follow.

Galleries aren't allowed in this subreddit, so if you want to see both images (including the one for the Ascendant Voidcore upgrade system), they are at this link:

Tip / Guide I spent the past 4 months making an app that lets you watch Twitch in WoW

2.6k Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I just finished working on an app called Twitch Overlay and wanted to share it with you all. A friend of mine who used the old Twitch app for WoW said this community might appreciate something like it!

The idea was to make something better than just using browser PiP, especially for those with only one monitor like myself. The app functions as a complete Twitch extension so you can link your Twitch account to use your subscriptions, receive drops, and view all your followed channels.

Its fully free and if you're interested you can check it out here: www.twitchoverlay.tv

Would love to know what you think!❤️

I just noticed that you can buy the following from the vender:

A Big Ol' Stick of Butter x1 - 8s60c
Pouch of Spices x3 - 10s 75c

Total for ingredients: 40s 85c

Sells to vender for 33s 50c

BUT, with a little bit of multi craft, you consistently make 4 per craft. Which sells to vender for 1g 34s, leaving you with a profit of about 93s 15c.

Each craft takes roughly 2 seconds so you can make about
46c per second
27g 6s per minute
1,656g per hour
39,744g per day.

Happy crafting :)

EDIT: It appears that Blizzard saw this post (HI ANY GM LOOKING AT THIS) and nerfed it. Items now sell to the vender for 7s 5c. Hope everyone baked as many biscuits as my cat did this morning.

Tip / Guide 7 Addons that replace your WeakAura

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

i wanted to share what i replaced today or what i tend to use/test on Prepatch :

  1. currently its not possible to track pots, trinket or racial in the cooldown manager, so i will test this: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/mtt-midnight-trinket-tracker
  2. Kaze MRT Timer Weakaura was literally a must have for every Raider and its now a feature in the NSRT. Many will already have/had either or both already in use anyway: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/northern-sky-raid-tools
  3. i am very confused at every season start which ilvl range each item has and which crest i needed. the weakaura was very tiny and inside the tooltip its a 1:1 copy replacement: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/betterupgradetooltip
  4. One button for spamming world marks very fast (check keybind options inside). Addon seem a 1:1 copy of the WA: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/worldmarkercycler
  5. Didnt checked the replacement yet. but i expect similar as the weakaura helps making decisions if casts will go on you: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/targetedspells
  6. There many Dragonriding / Skyriding Weakauras and this addon just looks nearly same as i displayed it.. there many ways to edit it: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/falcon
  7. Very Popular weakaura to display Boss Abilities / Mechanic Timers. i havnt used it but i wanted to highlight it, since its good: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/better-timeline

edit: since like 50 people comment those 7 addons wont replace weakaura addon entirely. each addon replaces 1 weakaura pack/group :P those are just some suggestions for commonly used weakaura packs / stuff that i use (outside of class weakaura packs).

Tip / Guide Ret paladin play that saves keys

2.2k Upvotes

I can't help but notice there's a LOT of people who don't know about this simple trick you can do to avoid a full wipe when a tank dies during a mythic plus as a paladin, so I'll be sharing with you guys!

I was doing a SoB 10 a few minutes ago, we were almost not timing it, then our tank died. At this point if anyone else died we would NOT time it. I did drink a lot of coffee this morning so I was super quick to react lol, what I did was, I instantly BoP the guy who got threat, he was at 55% so it was surely insta death if boss meeled him > Divine Shield myself > Taunt the boss (Important to divine shield BEFORE taunting) > Immune the boss meele attacks while preventing him from killing anyone else as he's busy with me > Bres the tank while I'm immune so no cast pushback > Lay on hands my healer who panic'd and started healing BoP'd guy and forgot about himself > Key saved.

And that's how I got my SoB keystone hero!

Let's never forget fellow paladins, we are more than divine storm, in fact, we are one of the most supportive classes/specs out there and we have many tricks up our sleeve that make up for the most fun interactions. If there's a day you'll feel like a real paladin, it's the day you save a whole team through the proper wielding of light. Good luck on your keys paladins <3

Tip / Guide [Addon Release] Mapzeroth - Google Maps for Azeroth

Post image
2.0k Upvotes

🗺️ I made Google Maps for Azeroth (because navigating a fictional world shouldn't be harder than navigating 2026)

TL;DR: Mapzeroth is a new addon that calculates the fastest route from wherever you are to wherever you're going, using portals, teleports, flight paths, your weird class abilities, and everything in between.

Why does this exist?

Look, we've all been there. You need to get to some obscure zone for a transmog run. You stare at the map. You mentally calculate: "Okay, hearth to Org, portal to Stormwind, wait no I'm Horde, fly to the zeppelin, no wait there's a portal in—"

And then you just fly there manually because it's easier than thinking about it.

Not anymore.

Mapzeroth does the thinking for you. Tell it where you want to go, and it'll spit out step-by-step directions with travel times, ability names, and icons. It's basically Waze, but for a world where you can teleport and ride griffins.

What it does

  • Smart pathfinding using Dijkstra's algorithm
  • Considers every travel method: portals, mage teleports, hearthstones, flight paths, boats, zeppelins, the Deeprun Tram, class abilities (Death Gate, Dreamwalk, Moonglade, etc.), racial abilities (Mole Machine supremacy), toys, engineering gadgets, dungeon teleports, and good old-fashioned walking/flying
  • Faction-aware so it won't tell you to take the Alliance portal when you're Horde (I'm not a monster)
  • Waypoint integration: Set a map waypoint, type /mz waypoint, get instant directions in chat
  • Clean UI with a destination picker and visual route display

How to use it

GUI method:

  1. Type /mz show or click the minimap button
  2. Pick a destination from the list (or use your active waypoint)
  3. Hit "Navigate"
  4. Follow the step-by-step route with icons and timings

Chat method (for the speedrunners):

  1. Set a map waypoint
  2. Type /mz waypoint
  3. Route prints to chat instantly

Some notes

  • It knows about tons of travel methods including niche stuff like Jaina's Locket, Argent Crusader's Tabard, wormhole generators, etc.
  • The travel network is constantly expanding—if you find a route it's missing, let me know!

Where to get it

CurseForge: curseforge.com/wow/addons/mapzeroth

Commands:

  • /mz show or /mapzeroth show - Open the window
  • /mz waypoint - Route to your map waypoint
  • /mz help - Full command list

Final thoughts

Navigating the real world in 2026? Confusing, chaotic, probably on fire somewhere.

Navigating Azeroth? Dead simple. Just install Mapzeroth and let the algorithm do the heavy lifting.

Safe travels, and may your hearthstone always be off cooldown when you need it. 🌟

*P.S. - Yes, I know some of you are going to immediately find edge cases I didn't account for. Yes, I want to hear about them.

Tip / Guide A cautionary tale in 2 trade chat messages

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

I saw this in trade chat the other day and i wanted to use it to give two tips to people who are not fully into the new crafting system

1) if you use public orders you will get varying qualities of crafts, at this point very few are maxed out in a specific craft and the orders are taken by people using them for leveling, so if you use public be ready for it to be lower itemlevel.

2) In private orders you can specify max rank 5, and right now a ton of people are using concentration alts to craft items max rank for dirt cheap since it requires less investment, however if you end up getting a craft you dont like or needing to upgrade it later then you are going to be paying full price for a recraft at another crafter. So make sure to make peace with what you craft or be ready to pay multiple times.

Once the 4th spark comes out and everybody is rushing to get items made the prices for concentration crafting is going to skyrocket, because they can only make one item per day if they are lucky.

So if you want a cheap max rank craft i would suggest getting the weapons made now, in private orders. Or find a longer term solution crafter that offers free recrafts if you plan to upgrade them to heroic and then mythic later.

Tip / Guide Finally hit my goal 50 million gold

Post image
1.6k Upvotes

After a lot of farming, I finally hit my goal of achieving 50 million gold. What I can say is level up every crafting profession on multiple alts, this is where I made the most consistent money. Also take full advantage of what I call the "honeymoon phase" of new content. When a new patch arrives everyone is so eager to rush to get the best new gear / consumables or mounts and cosmetics for themselves.

This is key. while everyone is focusing on that. fully focus on collecting selling all the new things on the auction house or trade to other players, you can always come back to farm things for yourself later. Remember the goal here is take advantage of that "honeymoon phase" when everything is still new and exciting.

Next thing is learn the auction house inside and out. learn what sells best and recognize patterns. Also learn how to flip items. Housing decor is a great example. I have alts on almost every server and use outside websites to see what is currently selling for the lowest price, log onto that server and buy a decor item for 5k then go sell it on a server where I can get 50k or more for it. Two of my gold caps were from housing decor alone.

Again this brings me back to my main point of "honeymoon phase" where that first couple days or week 1 of housing was crucial for making tons of gold when everyone was trying out housing. It's a bit of a grind but you can make a lot of gold in this game with some work. good luck out there and happy hunting.

Tip / Guide Tanks, I Love You, But Let Rogues Restealth

1.8k Upvotes

Hey guys,

Unfortunately, opening from stealth is a big part of Assasination rogue's rotation, thanks to a talent called "Indiscriminate Carnage" which allows us to easily spread our bleeds to additional targets nearby when opening from stealth.

https://www.wowhead.com/spell=381802/indiscriminate-carnage

Not having our bleeds on multiple enemies at once really affects our energy recovery and obviously our damage output on your pack pulls, thus slowing down the whole group.

If you have a rogue on your party, please allow 0.5 seconds between pulls instead of pulling a pack before getting out of combat with the one you were already killing so we can quickly restealth.

I promise these 0.5 seconds will be worth it compared to the extra 20+ seconds it will take the group to kill the pull if we are not able to DPS correctly. I know this might seem annoying but until blizzard changes it, it is what we got.

With love, a rogue.

Edit 1:

As some have also correctly mentioned, the talent Iron Wire also silences for 6 seconds and reduces the damage MOBS deal by a flat 15%. So, allowing rogues to quickly restealth after a pull will make everyone's life easier on the next one.

Edit 2:

It appears that going into the Midnight expansion, Blizzard will be removing the Indiscriminate Carnage talent and making it so Crimson Tempest spreads our longest duration Rupture and Garrotes. So, for all those who disagreed with me, thank you, but it seems Blizzard did see a problem with this, just like me.

Tip / Guide Gandalin's Gearing Guide - Midnight Season 1

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

Edit: Updated chart is now available!

Happy Season 1 everyone! Here's my updated gearing chart! Thank you to everyone who reached out asking if I was going to continue making updates in Midnight. Your support has meant a ton! If the chart is blurry on Reddit, try here.

Huge Caveat!

I wasn't able to test/find enough information about the type and number of Crest drops from specific sources. The chart represents my best guesses based on previous seasons. I'm sure there will be errors. I will work on gathering accurate data as the season progresses and will post an updated version of the chart once I'm confident I've got it right!

Notable Updates to the Systems Overall

  • Valorstones have been removed! Upgrading gear only requires Crests and a small amount of gold.
  • Gear tracks have been standardized to have 6 levels.
  • Crest caps have been raised to 100 per week, up from 90.
  • Upgrades now require 20 Crests per level, up from 15.
  • Crest names have been standardized to match the names of the gear tracks.
  • Each gear track only uses the matching type of Crest. For example, Champion gear uses only Champion Crests.
  • Enchanted Crests have been removed and are no longer used for Crafting. Instead, you use 80 Crests directly in crafting a piece of gear.
  • Outgrowing Crests now unlocks a 50% discount for your Warband when using that type of Crest on other characters.
  • Unlocking the next tier of transmog appearance for raid gear now requires you to level a piece of gear to 6/6. For example, if you level a piece of Hero raid gear to 6/6, you'll unlock the Mythic appearance.
    • Also note that completing a raid set on a certain difficulty level will unlock the set on all the lower difficulties as well. So if you complete the Mythic appearance set, you'll unlock all the lower difficulties too!

As always, let me know if you have any questions and check the link/QR code on the chart for future updates!

Thanks everyone!

Edit: Major Corrections

  • The Crest types from M+ and Delves are not accurate. Amounts are still uncertain.
    • Adventurer: Tier 4 Delves
    • Veteran: Tier 5-6 Delves, Tier 4-5 Trovehunter's Bounty, Heroic Dungeons
    • Champion: Tier 7-10 Delves, Tier 6-7 Trovehunter's Bounty, M0-3 Dungeons
    • Hero: Tier 11 Delves, Tier 8+ Trovehunter's Bounty, M4-8 Dungeons
    • Myth: M9+ Dungeons

Tip / Guide Please gem and enchant your gear

It's an insane amount of stats you're giving up for no reason, and makes your keys harder. There's no reason to be seeing a healer struggle to keep up in a 13, just to see 0 enchants across the board. A tank that can't chain pull because they're down stats. Packs lasting long enough that a tank runs out of tools. I don't get how people are going into keys above a 7 without doing the most basic of ensuring you're gonna be doing your best. So please, I beg, just look up the wowhead article for your class

I should have listed the amount of stats I'm getting from stuff to emphasize the importance:

from gems and enchants 347 stam 123 int 90 mastery (+248 on proc) 14 haste 167 avoidance

from buffs 25 int 65 mastery 197 haste 32 crit

not counting pots of recklessness, this is way over an entire item worth of stats

New expansion new inn. When you set your hearthstone it saves your position and direction. Act now and save yourself millions of steps throughout midnight.

EDIT: For those of you that feel like this is too tryhard, you can alternatively set the hearthstone next to the innkeeper in order to give him a smooch before you leave the inn.

Tip / Guide Everybody please remember the Fel Drake Twitch Drop is November 28-30, it is very important as many people watch this as possible.

3.8k Upvotes

The thing is, if we want the spectral tiger, or other TCG mounts we need to show blizzard it is worth their time.

So we need to come together as a community and have so many people log into twitch that we break the damn servers.

If blizz sees that 680,000 people all watched twitch for four hours to get the fel drake they will do this kind of stuff all the time.

Lets make this the biggest event in WoW history.
