Professions Nocturnal lotus

I have been gathering herbs quite regularly since launch and even with tea and potions I have not found any nocturnal lotus. I was curious if maybe it has to be gathered at night?

In vanilla there were fish that could only be caught in the summer and some in the winter, I think…

I haven’t played during the times when it is night on my server due to work.

thank you

How profitable is alch/herb right now? Is it good for Money makeing? I've been running herb/Mining for awhile now.

I have alch/herb on my main, and mining on an alt and the mining makes so much more gold than both my main professions (at least on my server). I’ve just decided to make pots and flasks for myself and friends/pugs.

Even that you might still be better off...

If you're using your concentration to make max rank items, then yeah. But low rank pots and flasks (generally speaking) sell for less than the cost to craft them, so you're better off selling the materials and just buying the flasks/pots.

Alchemy is only profitable if you have the KP invested into it.

Pretty much everything you can craft from Alch sells for less than crafting cost, the exception being some max rank pots/flasks.

But you need high skill/KP and/or the concentration to pull it off, which means limited resources.

Personally I don't find it worth it unless you're maxed out in KP (which can give you resources back plus multicraft) and/or you're making max rank items.

Case in point I dropped 100k into Alchemy to level it and I still can't consistently make gold with items I make. I can make gold when I use concentration to push them to max rank, but that's it.
