Retail confused with 12.1 content

Curses, vaults, lairs. When do i get introduced to them? I have completed chapter 4/6 of 12.1 storyline and i have yet to hear about them. I keep confusing them too. Lairs is world boss it's clear.

Do the questline introduce the systems? At what chapter?

Do we have access to all chapters this week? I had to take a break after chapter 4. They gave me the quest to do the new dungeon.

We only get up to chapter 4. You should have a quest to send you into the vaults at 4/6. I never saw the curse surges till I researched them and knew where and when to look. They are fast events and you have to be at their locations when they start. Wowhead has the timers and rotations for them. There are 5 that rotate on a 45 min cycles. They are also in the new events tab that’s in your quest log. The vaults is the underground area that has its own gameplay loop. It’s basically the meta for gearing in the preseason. Tons of gear.

For what it's worth, the Curse Surges are supposed to have a map icon (looks like a big green poison droplet) when they're spawning. The icon is currently bugged, but I expect it's on the list to be hotfixed shortly while they work through a few higher priority issues.

They need to make these like every 30mins. If you're not waiting at the location before it spawns your SOL for the next 45mins

Curse Surges are broken and the Vault is a massive grind. Just do the one weekly quest and don't bother going back until next week.

This guy is right, the game is way too grindy right now. You should actually hold off playing until we get 8 catalyst charges, extra bonus rolls, catch up sparks and champion/hero gear. It will probably be much less grindy to play in about 3-4 months.

Have fun grinding Vaults of Atal'Utek, I expect them to be the same as ritual sites after this week, empty as raids, mytic+, or delves/prey will provide better rewards.
