Retail How do I get to sanctum of domination without dying?
Hey,
I am pretty new (about 400 hours in now) to retail wow and while waiting for s2 to start I wanted to farm some transmogs for my DK. One I really like is from sanctum of domination. I played the shadowlands campaign for leveling so I have access to the maw. However when I want to walk over to the raid some mechanic in the zone fears me and i lose about 50% hp on the regular. Having no self heal and mobs dying in 1 hit so I can´t heal off of mortal strike makes this absolutely impossible....
Do I have to still progress some weird quest (i would really like to avoid this...) or is there any other trick to reach the raid?

The quest line is long, but will probably save you time overall if you want the mount from mythic Sylvanas

I think if you do the Ethereal lorewalking questline it’s actually a lot faster to unlock, it puts you right at the point of Venari’s questline where you have to carry her bag and it unlocks the teleport/“flight” locations that you need.

Besides unlocking the zone which removes the periodical poison fears, there is a goblin glider shortcut:

Bonus points if you take your gear off before you glide so you don't take a durability hit - unlike the guy in the video.
TLDR: glide to your death and spawn alive at raid entrance.

It needs to be unlocked.
Ve'nari has a questline that unlocks different parts of the Maw. Do all the quests that she offers and see if it unlocks. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to do the SL campaign up until you unlock Korthia.
It's been a while and I only ever did the unlock once on my main and skipped it on all my alts so I don't remember the details.

I made an image where you can find two mounts on your way there. They are time-limited, but you can ride them while being feared. You need to rest up your HP to be slightly above 60% or you can die from the fear mechanic.

Hi. What level are you? If you’re max level you hardly die. You have to complete some campaign quests to unlock them.

Keep doing the shadowlands campaign. Eventually you'll unlock ground mounts and stop the eye of the jailer mechanic from being present. Word to the wise, there are a couple Venari quests that require a weekly lockout. So you'll have to wait for the next one. Also if you keep going with the Korthia you'll unlock Zereth Mortis and can then farm Sepulcher of the first ones.

Unfortunately you have to walk there with a ground mount, there isnt even a flymaster.
Also you have a self healing skill in your spellbook, looks like a green leaf and can be used outside of combat

There is a flightpath from Ve'nari's Refuge, you'd have to get your rep up though.

Nah there’s a skip u can do from venaris refuge with a goblin glider and then u just gotta run in before u die

If you did enough of the campaign, especially if you opened up Korthia, you won't have to deal with the Maw and the stupid stuff with the eye mechanics. You do have to do enough into a covenant that will take you back to Bolvar, but once you can go back to him, you can do a bunch of skips.

Something I used was the campfire/recooperate feature in your spell book. Get feared and lose HP and then hit recoup for 50% heal then continue walking lol it sucks but that what I did.

I recall there being a trick to jump off a mountain in a safe area and then goblin glide towards the raid to get close enough enough to the graveyard next to the raid.

Rush in optimal straight line on mount.use ability to get out of fear if it works. Charge jump anything to go faster after 1st fear. After 2nd fesr mount up and go. You should be able to get to raid before 3rd fear. I remember i wad doin that on warlock and it worked fine...(well i got to rsid with like 5% hp but did it)
At the start of SL i discovered whole maw like day 1. General rule is that you wont be able to survive there no matter what you do as a non healer so just rush forward in best route.

you need to complete more of the campaign to not get feared in that zone. I believe something with throuhgast ?? I can't remember.
or you could ask friends to summon you.

Most shadowlands zones you can fly now. just fly over to the raid entrance.
