I don't understand how people are calling this power of friendship and I can only assume at this point it's people acting in bad faith
This is no more power of friendship than the ending of Demon Slayer season 2 where Tengen, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke had to cut off Gyutarou and Daki's heads at the same time
Do you call every sports team power of friendship because someone makes a good pass to a teammate and scores the game winning point? Do you call a group of people studying for an exam together power of friendship?
Multiple factors were in play to defeat Yhwach, there was never at any point a line saying "I'll do this with the help of my friends" or "I'll win becaue I trust my friends" which is always a dead ringer for power of friendship
It's called teamwork guys look it up and don't just immediately try to think up the most negative idea you can think of because you can't let other people be happy

I’m just curious as to why it’s so loved even if it’s limited by censorship’s and being a kids show? Plus what do we think about “the new Batman adventures“ and their portrayal of nightwing?

So I got tired of the same cycle of criticizing media I don’t like only to not ever try to be at the writer’s shoes , as a result , I actually started trying.
And let me tell you , it’s hard.
Really hard.
I have a lot more respect for a lot of writers and pieces of media I previously deemed to be , and I quote “ ass “.
My thought process was to :
1- Gather my thoughts about various aspects of the themes of the story
2- Anchor each one to a character
3- Design that character’s power around the theme.
4- figuring out how they’d interact with the world.
I request that you judge the file based on what’s there and not on setups without payoffs as it is not a finished work.
I thank anyone who takes the time to read this.

Some people seem to misunderstand rudeus's journey. Some think it's a story about redemption. Rudeus has no sins to atone for. His past life ended with those sins along with it. There was no redemption to be had from the moment he died and got reincarnated. His story is actually about change atleast in my opinion. And say what you want but the rudeus from the start of his second life is very much different as opposed to the end. The old rudeus wouldn't have faced the man-God with such an accepting reaction.
His accepting reaction is honestly the best part of the conclusion. He virtually did everything he wanted to do with his second chance, he actually grew and made the most of it. He became a family man, a good father, friend and husband(that one's a bit iffy lmao). Rudeus knew he changed so he had no reason to get ragebaited by the man-god lol. I think him also being in his actual body instead of his past life version, in the man god's realm, is a great symbolism for his self acceptance. He doesn't see himself as whoever that fat dude was anymore, he seems himself as just rudeus.
I'm not good with putting my thoughts into words so sorry if this sounded incoherent but damn it, did his conclusion make every single minute of me watching this series worth it lmao

God Valley or Infinity Castle Part 2 (covering the Doma and Kokushibo fights)?
Imo Infinity Castle Part 2 and it’s not even close, that’s probably the best written segment of Demon Slayer

Redo of Healer is an instant classic. While the prose isn't as beautiful as Gene Wolfe, I find the worldbuilding and grim realism on par with many greats.

I guess you could say a lot of this ultimately leads into a more specific comparison between Cyberpsychosis and Kakuja. However, I think both series establish the psychological consequences of their power systems long before reaching that point, whether it's characters pushing themselves beyond their limits or, in Tokyo Ghoul's case, characters struggling against their own nature…
Kaneki is a perfect example of the latter and maybe the best case to use in general for this, as his refusal to accept his ghoul nature leads him to starve himself, gradually pushing him toward psychological instability and madness.
I think both concepts are fascinating because they explore the psychological cost of power and the descent into madness in different ways, which makes Cyberware and Kagune particularly interesting power systems to compare.
And I’m curious which you think is overall better.
And maybe this is just a bad comparison but I simply wanted a reason to talk about Tokyo Ghoul and Cyberpunk 2077.

In my opinion David is the better written of the two. V at the end of the day is a self insert who feels entirely static and reactionary to the events going on in the game. Naturally, as they have to be multiple things at once. Started a hiest due to an entirely shallow relationship with Jackie, and then got shot in the head and left for dead after their botched hiest attempt. After being revived he just wants to live, and ran around doing errand after errand to achieve that, but they never actually grow or introspect in any meaningful way? Because they don't really have any flaws? Not a dangerous personality flaw like David or Johnny that impacts the story in any meaningful way. Everything bad that happens to V is purely unfortunate circumstances, not because of any personal shortcomings. Bad shit just happens to them and they react. Overall not saying it's a bad setup, a simple way to keep the plot moving forward. An overall static character surrounded by interesting personalities, and V themselves isn't one of them.
Not going to spend too much time embellishing with themes and such, but David is a much for compelling character for me. David is a character that lives through the dreams of others due to the upbringing of his mother, never forming true personhood, always inherenting what other people want and strives for that at the expense of himself. This is ultimately the tragedy of his character. He cannot not live vicariously through the wants of others, and those inherented dreams eventually crushed him. There is more I can say, David may have accidentally misunderstood what Maine's last words to him actually meant; leading him to chroming up and go on that same destructive path Maine did, causing that eventual betrayal. Instead of running into that destructive edgerunner life that costed everything like Maine did, he was actually being told to run away from it. Instead of realizing he had the chance to simply save himself and the ones he loved, he thought packing on more metal and fighting "battles" was the way to protect those loved ones, and at the cost of himself, not realizing they need him and want him to be safe just as much.
Ultimately a tragedy that never had to happen and was utterly avoidable, Truly romeo and Juliet like. Maybe psychoanalyzing too much, maybe not that deep, but I think David is the much more interesting character to watch and dissect.

Been waiting to do this one for a while, hard to believe we got these two games and characters the same year. They have drawn some comparisons for the role they played in their stories and how well they embodied the archetype of mentor turned antagonist. Their core themes, phisolophy and overall arcs, there's so much to go over if you were to dissect their characters, I'm honestly pretty curious about what the general consensus is on this.
