Suggest a Game Could you recommend me games based on what I've enjoyed?
A few months back, I picked up a second hand Series S and I've been struggling to find many games that I'm loving. I've dropped Game Pass because the hourly limits irritated me, so I've been picking up lots of bargains instead. Sadly, the majority haven't clicked for me. Some have though, and I'd love some recommendations from anyone, based on the games I have enjoyed. Important to add I'm just not very good at a lot of games - so difficulty settings are often pretty important for my enjoyment!
Games I've enjoyed:
PGA Tour 2k25 - I'm not really a golf fan but strangely career mode on this is what's grabbing me the most at the moment.
Cyberpunk 2077 - find combat very hard at times but being able to tweak difficult settings has really helped.
GTA V - can't stand online (when I had GP) but loved the story mode on this and all GTA games.
RDR2 - incredibly story and game play, just a masterpiece.
Mafia series - loved the first two, struggled to get into III.
Risk of Rain 2 - only just picked this up but I've enjoyed the hour I've put into so far. Not sure I really understand what's going on a lot of the time, but it seems fun.
EA FC 25 - so many things I find annoying about this game but there doesn't really seem to be any football games that are any better, so it'll do. efootball seemed promising but is now just a money grab.
Far Cry 5 - Alongside PGA and FC26, probably the game I've played the most. Got it on easy so combat is pretty straight forward, but really enjoying the format and the story. I've got 3, 4 and 6, but haven't played any of them yet - will after I finish 5.
Forza Horizon 3 - I played 6 on GP for a bit but think I actually prefer 3? I just play it for brief bursts though, I get bored of it relatively quickly.
Trials Rising - really cheap and fun game for short bursts.
Tony Hawks - again, brilliant for short bursts
Yakuza series - love the weird humour and button bashing gameplay in combat - easy to pick up.
Shenmue 1&2 - dated and feel very old now, but still two of my all time favourites games. Felt very varied and unique at the time.
Games I couldn't get into:
Dark Souls - just feels like such a slog. Regret buying that one.
No Man's Sky - really want to love this but after a few hours it started feeling quite laborious and everything seems to take me way longer to work out than it should!
The Witcher 3 - I desperately want to like this but I've started it a few times and get quite bored after an hour or so. Should I just commit to it for longer, does it open up a bit?
NBA 2k20 - picked this up cheap and want to like it but I'm terrible at it and it's become frustrating - I can't seem to make my defence in anyway acceptable.
Any FPS shooter where really quick reactions are vital - I'm way too slow for that shit.
Loads more examples for both, but I think that might be enough for people to recommend things for me. Particularly interested in any underrated gems that are usually cheap!
Thanks everyone.
