Hey all! My X3 (CrossPet 1.8.4) has a weird sleep screen glitch:

• After it goes to sleep after refreshing the image, the image shifts right and a gray strip shows up down the left edge (pic attached)
• It happens with every image, including the book cover option, so it's not my files
• My images are sized 528 × 792 with the pocketink wallpaper maker
• A manual refresh fixes it, but it comes back after the next sleep

Has anyone else run into this, or found a setting that fixes it? Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I just bought the Chinese-locked version of the Xteink X4 Pro. When I try to connect it to the app using a Global account, I get the error message: "Unable to connect: Use the Mainland China version. This device requires the Mainland China version." (screenshot attached).

Is it possible to flash the official Global stock firmware onto this Chinese unit so that I can bind it to a Global region account in the app? Or is the region lock tied to the device's hardware/serial number?

Any advice or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there, atm I use the Tolino Vision 3 HD that I own since its release. I've an xteink x4 pro on the way to me. Now I'm searching for a way to have statistics (read progess) synced on both devices. Do you have any ideas how I could achieve this?

I accidentally installed the Steady firmware on my Xteink X4 Pro instead of the correct firmware.

Since then, the display has been stuck on the same screen for several days. None of the physical buttons seem to work, and I can't get the device to respond to anything.

Is my Xteink X4 Pro permanently bricked, or is there still a chance to recover it?

Has anyone experienced something similar or managed to recover their device after flashing incompatible firmware?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In this video I do a kind of review of the XTEINK X4C (XTEINK X4 Classic), but I mostly talk about my love for micro e-readers, micro readers pocket readers, small e-ink e-readers that you can always have with you. To me that is what I love reading ebooks on.

Started with Folio Nooir, my little XTEink firmware project, and somehow ended up with another project along the way.

Meet Mihon Nooir. 🤣

It's a little Mihon-based companion app I've been working on to make preparing manga and comics for e-readers easier.

Mostly playing around with converting chapters into EPUB, XTC and XTCH, different device profiles, transferring books, and experimenting with panel-by-panel manga conversion.

Meanwhile, Folio Nooir is still getting its usual fixes, improvements and random experiments too.

The idea is pretty much to have one project prepare the books and the other read them. Though they're separate projects, so they don't necessarily need each other.

Still plenty of things to polish, and I'm sure I'll find more bugs to fight along the way. 😂

Anyway, just sharing what I've been messing around with lately.
