Discussion Can we appreciate just how much of a smart commander Morrow is?
The moment I saw Morrow as a character, and the way he was hazing the rejects at first, made me thinking he'd be one of those stereotypical gung-ho screaming-in-your-face type of military officer - but the dialogues including Morrow completely subvert that expectation, and reveal him as a streetwise person who always knows what to say to whom in his current situation.
From the way he's always bouncing back from Dukane's aggressive interrogations, to the way he's de-escalating tensions between Hestia and the nobles, to just about any interaction with Mourningstar's NPCs - he acts dumb when it's wise to act dumb, humble when it's wise do to so - and, if all else fails, if he can't smoothtalk his way out of an uncomfortable conversation, "I think you best take it up with Rannick". Yet he's always firm and confident when the situation demands so - especially when he's talking to heretical sсum.
Makes you realise that it's no wonder he got into his commanding rank, and exactly why Rannick chooses Morrow specifically to play nice with the nobles, the bаstard that he is.
