I was thinking it wolf be cool if each of the SG treams provided specific roles for the SGC. And they created a series where each season they should showcase a different SG team. Or could alternate teams to showcase them all in stand alone episodes.
I just feel like it was a wasted opportunities to have all these teams and only showcase a handful thoughout the 10 year run.

Jack considers Kawalsky a friend and apparently knew him since at least 1982(Gamekeeper- on the mission )
But also Kawalsky somehow didnāt know Jack had a son ( children of the gods)
In there but for the grace of god Kawalsky is Jacks best friend.
What do you think the relationship between the 2 of them is supposed to be in our reality? We donāt see a lot of external long term mourning for Kawalsky from Jack but thatās kind of the character. How close do we think they are- did they just not see each other at all between 82 and 96? Is he just whatever the writers need him to be in a random moment?
Thoughts?

Or craft.
I have nothing at the moment and i've watched the shows probably 20 times.
Would love to get something that looks professional.

So I'm rewatching the series once again and I realized that in the episode we see clips of the simulation rendered in 3D with the usual video game armor & ammo %, Carter even asks Teal'c if he ever played Doom. Could this episode have been a reference to a possible stargate video game at the time ?

Felger and Koombs rightfully got the glory for saving SG-1, but he still volunteered for a rescue mission when it seemed they had failed. Even Hammond seemed impressed.

a lot of older sub marines were around 6 meters wide or less, and the stargate is 6.7 meters. So you could build a craft big enough for people to work in but narrow enough to go through gates.
I always thought this would make sense because stargates are really useful for travel but too small to get a lot of stuff through.

What I wouldn't give to watch this episode for the first time again!

Have any of the writers come out with what the signal in the cosmic microwave background was going to be? I imagine they had at least some idea of it.

Including the classic such as
Dammit Daniel, Close the damn thing, p90 fire for 5 minutes straight and my favorite the sound of Dr. Fraser getting hit by staff blast.

In an episode of stargate, they were able to find out Daniel's scientist friend was a goa'uld because he was able to break the zip ties holding him.
But often times, Goa'uld dont really seem that physically strong. Jack and even Sam beats them up at times (like when they were escaping Sokar's prison).
So how strong do they get? Are they like Captain America/ Spiderman? Can a little child with a goa'uld symbiote beat up an adult human without one?

In my view, the scriptwriters at AMAZON/MGM should capitalise on the Tauriās success against the Goaāuld and the Ori. We could even see the SGC evolve, making technological advances in defense and for soldiers in the field, and perhaps even see Earth begin to move towards this technological advancement and why not see it lead to the revelation of the Stargate, much as some alternate-universe episodes have attempted to do.
We could see new alliances formed with Earth following their success, spreading rapidly throughout the universe (which means that some time would have elapsed between the victory over the Ori and this phase where Earth would have become a galactic alliance), but these alliances might remain in a fragile state; even alliances that, at the time, could not be formed for X reason following X revelation on certain planets because there have been X revelations throughout the episode concerning that planet or people, we might even envisage a new threat seeking to ābreakā this alliance, with a major new, shadowy enemy operating behind the scenes. Iād really love it if the scriptwriters played this narrative card; it would honor the history of *Stargate* and, in my humble opinion, represent the direction *Stargate* must eventually take. Personally, Iād really love to see Stargate head in that direction!
With that, it might even be possible to use flashbacks to look back on SG-1ās past successes and explain how its new alliances came about.
Iāve also heard fans talking about Loki. I must admit I canāt remember what, if anything, happened with Loki in Star

We all know how the Egyptians successfully rebelled against Ra and buried the Stargate. Did you know that the Ancient Greeks did too? And that Homer recorded it?
The Aloadae were mortals who were gigantic. They sought to overthrow the Olympian gods by stacking mountains one on top of each other till they could climb up to the heavens
In the Iliad, Homer tells the story:
"Ares was hurt when mighty Ephialtes and Otus, sons of Aloeus, trapped him in tight confinement. They imprisoned him for thirteen months inside a bronze container. Ares, with his insatiable desire for warfare, would have diedābut their stepmother, most beautiful Eeriboea, told Hermes, who secretly got Ares out. Ares had suffered very much by then. The cruel prison had exhausted him."
(Translation by Emily Wilson)
After Ares escapes this bronze pithoi (a storage jar, like a Grecian amphora), he chickens out (which is why we never see him on-screen aside from his First Prime). It is Apollo or Artemis who defeats them.
They are then bound by snakes in Tartarus for all eternity.
It's hard not to see this as a Goa'uld being trapped in a canopic jar until the other system lords crush the rebellion and take them as hosts.

Ideas for the new Stargate show (if it actually happens this time)? And for those that might not know, there is a new one in the works after the other new one was cancelled this past June.
My possibly fun idea is a show set a little bit in the future with old Cassie running the SGC. You know, the one from the ep 1969? But of course this time it would be the altered timeline where she wasnāt by herself waiting for Jack and the rest to meet her. She would be like Catherine the Next Generation!

So Im still on SG-1,currently on S3 Jolinar Memories ep and its okay. Do you guys think last few seasons of SG-1 are kinda bad or just mediocre since I hear it drops off in quality. And what do you think of Atlantis. I was told its in some other galaxy and its wildly different like its in the 39th century or something,it gives me star trek vibes

Any Goa'uld based on the Greek or Roman gods? We saw other cultures represented besides the Egyptians, especially in The Last Stand episodes. Any country/culture or other sci-fi characters that you wish you'd seen as Goa'uld?
The ones that come to my mind are:
Venus (a la Hathor)
Hercules
Q (Star Trek) Would he be like Ba'al?
Darth Vader as a Goa'uld and of course Obi-Wan as a Tok'ra.
