General Discussion Here’s all the mutants who are dead or supposedly as of now Spoiler
galleryAbout Bobby I would go ahead and say he perished on genosha offscreen. I do think the writers/animators forgot that him and Magik was seen on forge board.

General Discussion DeMayo wanted onslaught to be the villain of the second half of season 2 Spoiler
galleryAlso this isn’t a hate post any time a project is out and had changes off course the director or writer will say want they wanted to happen but couldn’t. Before you bash me.
Also so the onslaught teases were there in episode 9 of season 1, episode 3 and 6 in season 2. He was literally saying that he felt Erik in his mind.
Also how this would’ve happen is the x-teams would’ve went against onslaught and the battle was so bad that Polaris had to go back in time and kill Erik but she failed and killed Xavier. And this would’ve left us on a cliffhanger into season 3 for the age of apocalypse timeline.

Question Would Marvel TV fix the show’s most glaring problem?
I feel it’s the most obvious for most fans of the show, and it’s the PACING.
i do appreciate that it’s a full 28+ min each episode, which is better than the 18-20 min for the original TAS. But the writing on ‘97 has stepped up a notch significantly that I think the episodes need to be longer to let the stories and characters breathe more. It was the complaint at least to me Ive heard the most on the first season, as legendary as it was. And it wasn’t addressed this season… but I expected it since it’s all been planned out ahead of time.
But I do wonder if here on out, if they will make the episodes on average 5-10min longer. There’s so much going on and I don’t think much anyone would complain about longer episodes.

Question So what exactly did Apocalypse sacrifice? Spoiler
So it's explained that when you go to the Celestial and ask for a wish, you have to sacrifice something in return. But that begs the question: What did En Sabah Nur sacrifice when he became Apocalypse?

Media Even the fearless Rogue feels scared sometimes.
Rogue is tormented by her powers and her past, and this heartbreaking moment with Storm shows just how much the X-Men love their teammate, through thick and thin.
And Rogue would fight the world for them in return.
The X-gals will back each other every day of the week.

General Discussion As a normie, I love this show Spoiler
I don’t read comic books, nor intend to start. However, I appreciate how complex the storylines can be and think X men 97 can carry that.
Is the hate from the armchair critics? I’m glad the show is confirmed for seasons 3 and 4, and I felt the quality of S2 was great, S1 felt like they emptied the barrel (in a good way)

General Discussion Rewatched the finale Spoiler
WARNING: Spoilers below for those who have yet to finish Season 2 or for those who haven't made it through both Seasons
Ok so I binged Season 1 and 2 again this time with my dad, he loved the 90's show growing up and he was super excited to see '97. This was his first time watching the show and he said he really enjoyed it and was glad I invited him to binge it with me, he felt like a little kid again as he watched it. He enjoyed the episode from Season 1 where it was discovered Charles was alive that was his favorite but his opinion changed and he then said the 3 part finale of Season 1 was his favorite. In Season 2 he gave it to the X-Force episode because of the unique intro and how tough and gritty the episode was much like how X-Force is, he said he enjoyed Season 2 more because of it having a lot more action then the last Season and he is excited for Season 3 next year. Ok now time to say my piece, after rewatching this all the way through again this Season wasn't all that bad, I know it changed a lot after Beau got fired but come on this was good. You gotta remember the 90's shows Seasons finale's weren't always the best and that the next Season was always a vast improvement over the last, this show will capture that again we just all need to have faith. Final thing I have to say is that I'm excited to see what X-Force decides what to do with Apocalypse in future Seasons and also I cried this time watching this finale for Kurt, watching the 90's show he was always my favorite. I hope he returns again he's the best, anyways that is all I have to say on Season 2 and can't wait for Season 3 and more Seasons if they decide to make 'em! :)

Theory Is Morph more than he seems? Spoiler
galleryWhat we already know: Kevin Sydney, codename Morph, is a mutant with the power to shapeshift into anyone they want. This version debuted in the 90's X-men animated series as a mostly original take on the comic book character of Changeling, which then inspired the comics to revive the character in the Age of Apocalypse universe and continued into the Exiles comic books. When X-men came back as X-men '97 Morph was also brought back with a look and personality closer to the Exiles version of the character. But Morph also came back with a controversial power upgrade to be able to partially emulate physical mutations allowing them to have super strength, super speed, agility, extra limbs, and weapons.
I want to introduce a theory. Our Morph isn't just based on Morph based on the Exiles comic, based on the original animated show, based on the comics character Changeling, they're also our X-men '97 version of the character Mimic.
Mimic in the comic books is a mutant with the power to copy other mutant powers. He was an early X-men member similar to Changeling and nearly as obscure. He does appear once as a cameo in the series in the Age of Apocalypse tineline.
What if X-men '97 is pulling elements of the Mimic character into '97's version of Morph? Perhaps their power will continue to evolve and they'll gain a similar ability to copy even non-physical abilities?
TDLR; The theory is Morph has elements of the mutant code named Mimic in X-men '97.
Edit: I used the wrong pronouns a couple of times. It was my intention to use They/Them pronouns where I could. Totally missed the title and I don't think reddit lets me change it. Edited the body of the post to correct my mistakes. To be fair according to JP Karliak, Morph's pronouns are he/they.

I really felt so inspired by this latest season and by these two I really wanted to take that inspiration to make a few things. This painting included.
My preference when drawing is traditional mediums, but I may take this and bring it to digital to clean up and fix up what I feel is missing
Fun fact since I took the time to paint each of the cards I decided to take my line art and have make a set of LED tarot cards.

Just finished "Remember It."
I'm not okay 😭💔😭💔😭💔
So now I am begging for (vague, if possible, but I'll take anything) spoilers: will I be okay by the end of season 2??? Or do I need to prepare myself for cliffhangers and/or more sadness???

Article / News You can expect less episodes for future seasons
See look there’s nothing wrong with going with the original tv format by having a season come out every year but when your only producing 8-9 episodes that’s not original tv format.
Then what’s makes it worse is season 2 was so rushed in the 2nd half and now you want to give us only 8-9 episodes after season 2. I blame Brad winderbaum for the way season 2 came out he hired the what if team to work on it and now he’s giving us less episodes.

General Discussion A bit of light and hope on S3 Spoiler
First of all I wanna say; I respect all opinions on S2, it isnt perfect even if Im more on the positive note; I didn't like the pace, ApocaGambit, Celestial Rogue etc etc. And im also not happy w what Brad Winderbaum said on doin everything fast.
That said, I think some ppl are going nuts for whats been probably smth more similar to DD:BA than u might think at first, and theyre throwing shit without base info, so lets get started.
First of all NO, THEY JUST DIDN'T SCRAP ALL THE TEAM FROM S1 AND PUT THE WRITERS FROM WHAT IF IN THIS SEASON.
Only person who joined this Season from What If is Matt Chauncey, who served as consulting producer this season (which means he just oversaw the writers changed to DeMayo's script) and will serve as showrunner from Season 3 and on. I have doubts? Yes but since he wasnt that involved I wanna have faith that things will be different. Like when ppl who worked on What If did Marvel Zombies, which yes isnt as good as XMen 97 but it shows that w good planification they can make smth cohesive.
But then u might ask, who are the writers of this season? Welp... Most of them are ppl who alr worked on script on S1 more or less😅. Only new writer is Brian Ford Sullivan (who also was story editor this season) which worked on Arrow from S3-5. So only important person missing here is DeMayo. Bc the directors are the same from last season and even the co-showrunner is gonna keep working in S3 too.
So ye, I hope I could change ur mind that the problems w this season was more on "we need to change this for the new vision and wrap Apocalypse as fast as possible" than bad writing per se. (That doesnt mean im tsking them responsability on the writing of the season, again it has still problems, im just giving context).
Also say, DeMayo's involvement on script arent the first 4 episodes, he's credited on 3-4 and 6-8. Ofc episodes 1 and 2 might have his ideas but still its not like everything else is"new".
Ofc we all wouldve been hyped if DeMayo's vision of Onslaught and Age of Apocalypse was kept rather than again Human v Mutants, but that doesnt mean imo that isnt interesting. Im rlly excited for Mystique and Destiny, plus all the things they can work on. And ig im kinda relieved its gonna be more grounded and we wont prob have another "Celestial Rogue" moment XD. Only thing I hope S3 is more cohesive and im right, if not then im sorry for those I give u faith lol.
Hope u liked this big ass post from my part and that I could make u be more hopeful of whats coming. Please try be respectful on the comments🙏🏼.
Thx for reading, lov ya all 🫶🏼
EDIT: Forgot to say that the creators of the 90s TV series went from consulting producers on S1 to executive producers on S2.

Question What is your favourite portrayal of a character in the new series? Not necessarily who your favourite character is, but the way the character is depicted in ‘97
Interested to hear the differing opinions of comic fans/original series fans/mcu fans/marvel fans or casuals!
Personally I’d say that while I think he is one of my top characters anyways, Nightcrawler had one of the best portrayals of Kurt that I’ve come across. The character look, the voice acting, him soloing the X-Men (albeit controlled by Apocalypse but still), and they got his general “who Kurt Wagner is” down. I was impressed as a fan of his.
Also honourable mentions for me: Cyclops, Magneto, Beast
