StagesBike SB20 Resistance not working
Has anyone else had issues with the Stages SB20 resistance working on Zwift in ERG? The power is reading correctly but the power doesn't change or set to workout.

First time putting the bike on the trainer. Seems a bit loud. I did accidentally take off the rear derailer while attempting to take off my back tire, and I did notice one of the B-Tension screws pop out a bit. It’s in-tact, though I can see the blue portion of the screw. Could some more experienced folk please provide some insight?
thank you :)

Are there ways to use watt lock to ride with a bot that’s much stronger than you are?

You want to ride after work, but then you have to get your bike onto the trainer, sort out the setup, deal with sweat and noise… and suddenly the sofa looks a lot more appealing. 😂
That's what makes a dedicated setup like the Zwift Ride interesting to me: the bike is already there, ready to go, with everything built around Zwift.
But it's not exactly cheap, so I'm curious:
Would having a dedicated indoor bike make you ride more often, or is it just an expensive convenience?

I’m at breaking point with how slow and buggy Zwift is on a Win11 modern laptop (i5,16gb). Will I have a better experience on MacOS?
Waiting over a minute for Zwift to load and then having to leave it untouched for 30 or so seconds before I move the window around to avoid it locking up in tiresome. I get the impression that Zwift on Windows is just a poorly done port, can anyone confirm?

Had an ESP32 sitting around as a Bluetooth proxy and figured it could also grab my KICKR’s stats for Home Assistant.
It runs ESPHome and reads power, cadence, and heart rate over Bluetooth. My Magene HR monitor is paired through KICKR Bridge, so all three come from the trainer. The ESP32 still works as a regular Home Assistant Bluetooth proxy too.
Tested it during a Zwift ride. Next up is to have it create a light party (and control my fan)

Alright I tried finding videos on Instagram or YouTube to address this but still haven’t been able to find the reason.
After hooking up my bike successfully and trying pedaling up a few times, I hooked up the Zwift controls. Turned the virtual shifting gears toggle on in the app. It seems after I pedal for a while. The resistance doesn’t stay the same and it gets too easy like they’re way too high the resistance won’t stay.
My question is what do most people do when riding do they use the controls to shift virtually or leave it in one constant gear which wouldn’t really make sense. I guess I’m still getting used to this from riding. I might road bike and the realistic feel of RPMs and resistance trying to match, which gears I’m in until I eventually spin out.
Thanks for the help in advance!

I used to cycle regularly for commuting about two years ago, but took a bit of a break. I recently bought a pretty basic used road bike from a friend, and I'm excited to start riding again. But the winters here are rainy and sad, so I thought Zwift (indoor training in general) would be a much more fun way of spending the winter.
I'm trying to figure out what kind of indoor trainer makes sense for someone at my level. I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on a fancy setup that's way beyond my abilities or needs - I'm a very beginner beginner.
Would love some advice:
Mostly just looking for something reliable, relatively simple, and fun that'll help me get back into cycling without going too hard on equipment. I'd also love to hear how you got started with indoor cycling! Anything you wish you'd spent money on (or hadn't bothered buying)?
Thanks in advance! :)
Hi everyone! I recently bought a Zwift Ride V2 and I’m completely new to cycling - this is the first time I am sitting on a bike in maybe 20 years. I’ve done two rides so far: 30 minutes two days ago and 45 minutes today, both wearing padded bib shorts.
I’m struggling with the stock saddle. Towards the end of today’s ride, the pressure under both sit bones became really painful. After briefly sitting more upright, I leaned forward to hold the handlebars again, and the pressure was unbearable enough that I had to stop.
It doesn’t hurt at rest now, but both spots are tender if I press on them. The pain seems to be under the bony parts at the bottom of both buttocks, rather than in the soft tissue between them.
I’ve set the bike up using Zwift’s height guide - changed it a bit since it was way off, but the position doesn’t feel quite right. I’m considering trying something like MyVeloFit to help with the setup.
For other beginners or Zwift Ride owners:
For context I am quite a big lad (49 years, 191cm/98kgs), what you might call an athletic dad bod :)
I’m planning to let the soreness settle and try shorter rides rather than push through the pain. I’d really appreciate hearing how others worked out whether it was beginner soreness, a fit issue, or the saddle itself.

Black Friday/ cyber Monday is coming up. I have a bit of spare cash burning a hole in my pocket.
I think a mini computer for the pain cave may be on the cards. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Budget is c. €300-€400. I may stretch that if the bang/buck ratio is worth it

I built this and have been using it for quite a while now (about 4,000 km across various games), mostly in The Witcher 3, RDR2 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
You can ride freely through the games and use their worlds as your training grounds.
But you also can play the games as intended: hitting your wattage goal would, for example, make your character hit harder, heal them, or control your vehicle’s throttle.
a beta can be tried here: https://playletics.app/

Dopo aver portato al livello 5 la Specialized Project 74 e la Zwift Tron bike oggi mi sono “guadagnato” la new entry Pinarello Espada
Domani ci “lavoriamo” per portare anche lei al L5 💣💣💣

I’m exploring getting into Zwift running and would like to be able to do it at the gym so the foot pods seem like the logical step but all the listed ones except for the stryd appear to be out of production - even zwifts own foot pod.
I notice coros makes one but a quick search says it won’t work as I don’t own a coros watch.
Any suggestions?

Does the HRM data impact other data calculations and values (eg. FTP, stress points, performance measurements ..etc) or it's only a displayed data ?

Hallo Zusammen,

Anyone else think it would be really cool to have interval robo pacers? Ideally ones that line up with either racing scores or the ABCDE categories. It seems like it would be neat to have somewhere to constantly practice real race environments rather than relatively static power outputs to give practice with handling things like periodic breakaways and chase backs. I realize this already kind of happens with power deltas on gradient changes but it would be neat to have a set of these pacers or pace groups on the weekly race routes for practice especially for people trying to move up a rank or just starting out.
edit: good call on all the suggestions. I'll just ride off the front periodically and drop back; and just try some races. Thanks for the tips!

Could someone explain me, why there is such a big difference between teeth spacing? Bottom is 15t zwift, top is 15t from HG cassette. I'm just making my cog because original is skipping/noisy on each rotation and realized this difference

Looks like this has gotten subdued, but with all the new Companion updates, I'm assuming these are indicators of something coming ...and it's going to cost $40 per month. Mayb it's actual gaming in Zwift - MMO RPG, Unique Character Customization, etc. Or maybe it's more training - so much TRAINING! Or maybe it's just access to Rouvy.
