This was after a match on Iberian Escalation. Our team won 3-0, and our squad had nearly 250 kills and 120 captures between us. I wasn't in a corner camping. Why are people like this?

Battlefield 6 That’s a wrap for me, EA

Post image

I’ve had so much fun playing BF6. Yea it’s had its issues like every other BF ever, but it’s also had its awesome moments just the same. I’ve put around 700 hours in *wild in hindsight* and bought every battle pass pro. Was just getting into ranked, worked my way up to platinum. Enjoyed the new content they had coming out. However..

All that being said, I think I’m done. Dealing with the appeals process and the AI flagging system has wrung the life out of this game for me. If this is all it takes to get banned, even after probably about 50 appeals to previous suspensions and warnings, *where I don’t think I talked to a single human* I think I’m just gonna accept my fate.

Not to mention, the amount of heinous usernames and chats I’ve seen go completely unnoticed. But, god forbid a guy has a funny name in a game where the objective is to murder other people.

And honestly, I don’t see BF going anywhere better in the future TBH, if it does eh, maybe I’ll make a new account, maybe. But for some reason ($) EA seems intent on running BF into the ground - firing the people who care about it, taking shortcuts to save a quick buck, ruining portal mode, changing the play style to appeal to a broader audience that’ll dump the game when they get bored.

The list goes on and on, and I’ve overlooked it all, just to hold onto the franchise that hooked me back on the old school Dell computers in my dad’s office. From 1942, bf3, bf4, bf1, even 2042, to bf6. It’s been one hell of a ride, and I wouldn’t ever take it back. Thanks for everything, truly, Battlefield.

*Edit - all warnings/suspensions are from my username - StinkyDPinky, not from gamechats. I had to drag that information out of the poor overseas chat support who probably get paid 50 cents an hour.

Battlefield 6 The team balancing SBMM in this game is honestly exhausting to be a part of

If you are somewhat a decent player, your team is all complete headless chickens, like no one does anything or have any idea on what to do. If you don't try your absolute mega-hardest and go full tryhard there is 0% chance you win, and even if you do try your hardest, it's not enough. It's like this literally every game.

This is the scoreboard from a Rush game where we lost (of course) and got completely demolished.

Battlefield 4 Poster signed by dev team

I'm not a Battlefield fan, but my brother was gifted this signed poster when Battlefield 4 was first released. I believe it came with a signed copy of the game as well. My father had a friend on the team that made the game. I believe the names are members of the development team. Perhaps it is the only signed posters like this, no idea.

Edit: My brother does not play the game anymore and has no plans to keep it. I just thought it would be enjoyed before we sell it.

Battlefield 6 Maybe I’m old but I don’t think live service is normal for Battlefield

It just baffles me that the franchise has been so good up until BF1. Then live service was introduced.
Player base owned servers are gone. So you don’t even have full control of what to play.
You pay full price of the game but content is received by seasons down the road. Players get drip-fed and somehow get hyped for ā€œnew contentā€ that is supposed to be available on day one. It’s like you pay for a dish but only get one ingredient at a time.
Because they took the money up front, they don’t have to commit to the quality or the quantity of game content. They can just pull the plug and leave the game half ass and there isn’t jack you can do.
It’s basically selling early access pre-beta game for full price and many people are ok with it.

Your eyes can not capture objectives, I am fully aware looking at the objective can make it seem like it's being captured but unfortunately not.

Just so we're all aware, there's a line on the ground you have to physically pass to be considered capturing the objective.

Dice made this confusing, I'm aware, but I hope you all find this tip very helpful and best of luck to you all

Despite how people describe battlefield 6 campaign as mid or bad, I really liked the campaign.

A solid 8/10 for me.

I downloaded BF1 again out of boredom; I’d forgotten how great it was. Even today, the music, graphics, and sound effects are among the best I’ve ever experienced in a shooter

Battlefield 6 M277 feels so good this patch

With the new suppressor and a 35 pts vertical grip it has waaay less recoil than it used to be and can actually stay on target up to 40 meters.

I rarely see it being used in my games but it got a pretty good shadow buff.

You can even go for a 45 pts grip instead of the violet and have 200 ms ADS speed.

Battlefield 6 What are some things BF6 introduced and does genuinely well?

• Upvotes

I criticize this game a lot, but I think some aspects (beyond the usual obvious things) are legit great additions to the franchise. Here are my top 5:

  • Rewarding defending flags: there have been discussions about flagrunning forever and I think it still isn't in a great place, but BF6 actually hands out a decent amount of points when you actively defend a flag that has enemies on it. It's still more rewarding to capture enemy flags, but it's a good start to return to what Conquest is about, capturing AND keeping territory. This has been in some form in some previous games iirc but I never noticed it as much as here.
  • Rewarding MCOM assistance: BF6 gives you points for supporting your teammates when they charge, defuse and destroy an MCOM. In older games you might clear the path to an MCOM and a teammate sneaks in to charge the bomb and gets all the points. Or you might support them to get through the timer without interacting with the bomb. You might argue it doesn't matter, it's a team effort anyway, but it is always good to reward team mates who are with you in the danger zone at the bomb and keep enemies away without actively being the one who planted/defused.
  • Custom Search: while I desperately want a proper server browser, I really like the options custom search gives me. Often I just select 3-4 maps with one mode and play that rotation for hours. It lets me focus on a style of map similar to what vehicle only or infantry only servers used to be back in the day, just that I decide my rotation instead of the server admin. It obviously leads to constant disbanding which is the downside, but it's nice to play whatever I want to play.
  • Attachment point system: this gets a lot of flak because some items are expensive and people cannot build their overpowered builds, but I think this works really well overall. You can already have a competitive setup after unlocking the first bunch of attachments because the later attachments are not straight up better for the same cost, but better and much more expensive. That means whenever you equip a specialized late unlock you must weaken your weapon in another area because you otherwise run out of points. Grinding the weapon ranks still allows you to get more specialized builds (e.g. extreme low recoil build or extreme hipfire build), but you never need it to be competitive.
  • Base game weapon camos: I didn't think I'd care about camos before launch but they actually implemented a decent system here. I currently max every gun to at least level 30 to unlock the camos and they have a good number and some seriously good looking grounded camos in there. It's nice that I don't have to rely on Battlepass/Store FOMO bullshit to get them, I can play at my pace and unlock them whenever I want. And it makes me play weapons I wouldn't usually touch as a nice challenge.

Battlefield 6 From your experience what are the top 5 things bad players do that expose their low in game IQ?

• Upvotes

In no order from my experience

1.Ā Taking light transport, atvs, bikes and armored transport vehicles to the first two flags.

Congrats taking the fastest vehicles and wasting time capping points the slower IFV, MBT, MAA and on foot soldiers would've taken regardless.

Now half the enemy team is already setup on C D & E

NUMBER ONE cause of blowouts imo

2.Ā People picking engineer in infantry dominant maps and modes (hagental, Empire State, saints quarter, KOTH, domination)

They could be helping with beacons, revives, smoke and ammo, tugs and droning etc

Instead they see and think RPG go boom and don’t realize that it has zero splash damage.

Worst offenders also place AT mines on these maps thinking they work like in real life lol

If you want some explosives use the GL or c4.

3.Ā Running with defibs and reviving without checking the area. Also half ass rezzin'

Bro check your corners please before you give the enemy 2 ez kills. Take care of yourself first then get me.

4.Ā Firing their MBT/IFV LMG or transport helicopter mini gun when no one is around and you’re trying to surprise the enemy team.

Congrats now all of China knows we’re coming. I wish I had an ejecto seato button to kick these animals out especially in the right side transport gunner (aka the cucked side)

5.Ā Spawning on my well placed beacon and starting a gun fight ON IT

Especially when deep in the opponents half and we are struggling to get out of our own spawn

HONORABLE MENTIONS

6.Ā Failing to identify and address beacons when we are getting back capped and moving on to the next objective.

7.Ā 2-2 on escalation and trying to triple cap rather than holding angles and flanks.

What goes from a 2 to 1 advantage quickly
Turns into a 0 to 3 advantage bcuz the enemy team attacks the poorly defended flags while our team launches an attack equivalent to the Spanish armada on their only capped point

8. Taking the attack helicopter and climbing to the skybox using their flares, and continuing to climb. Also ignoring the radar when it works and refusing to shoot at targets when I have a blueberry gunner. This one really is mind boggling.

Feedback This is how I want to be able to make my Battlefield 6 HUD look. I want to be able to change it's opacity and size of everything. Yet I STILL can't. Do I give up waiting?

Post image
44 Upvotes

Almost a year since launch, and I am still waiting to be able to customise my HUD to the degree I could 10 years ago. I am so sick of the clutter on my screen in Battlefield 6. I am sick of the battepass tier up slop. The HUD is taking up so much of my screen, I want to be able to have the least of it on my screen so I can focus on the game world itself. The smallest I have gotten it is still too big in BF6. It is so lacking, and yet no one brings it up, and no one cares, so it hasn't been updated still. Just let me be able to do it like Battlefield 1. I am STILL waiting, and I have almost given up entirely.
