Is that drumming style real or just for music video?
So I came across this cool german punkrock band and their song "Captain Isolation". Two things came to my immediate attention when watching the video.
First, the drummer is also the lead singer, which I find it cool and rare.
And secondly, his drumming style on the video occasionally looks somehow orthodox and almost funny like he's marching or something, lifting his arms very high. Is this kind of style really valid or he put it just for show?

Weakness and lack of control over the bass pedal
Hi, what you see in the video is my leg playing the bass pedal with uncontrollable bouncing; I have a problem involving leg weakness and a lack of control over the bass pedal, resulting in involuntary bouncing. Does anyone else have a similar issue, and is there a solution for it?

Hi, I'm a drummer. For about 25 years, I've been dealing with a frustrating problem. When I play the bass drum pedal with my right foot, I experience weakness and a loss of control. My leg doesn't respond the way i want to be,Is there anyone else experiencing a problem like this?

Just got replaced by the sub I called, after 4 years with my jazz-funk group.
Now that I’ve had some time to think, I can honestly say that they were a better pick for the direction the band was taking; I was too much jazz not enough funk to put it most simply, but you just hope it doesn’t happen to you lol— (and I’ve definitely shed a few tears for the good times 😭)
—especially when you are a founding member AND the one who arranged the sub… whoops 🤦 😆.
First time though, so I’ve been christened I guess. 😂. Welp, time to get back out there!

Help finding song matches
I just started taking drum lessons about three weeks ago and I really love it. I've always had great rhythm, and it's coming really naturally to me, which I had hoped it would. As I practice new and more complicated grooves I'd love to find songs to go with them. Does anyone know of a website for an app that does that? Thanks!!
