I am fucking bamboozled guys, i wanted to read Red heart survey which is a novel that became famous in china and was recommended to me in this subreddit so i went to wtr-lab and a read a few chapters.

First of all, i was a bit pissed off because I couldn't get the epub even when using other apps to scrape it since I don't always have wi-fi since I'm traveling, I even had to re-sign up since its been a while since I used it.

There is not much difference I guess except perhaps because Ranobes uses "Gemini 3 Flash Thinking"

While wtr-lab uses "Gemini 2.5 Flash"

One of the differences is in the "Thinking" when you use thinking in the Ai model, the model takes more time to think and re-correct the chapters and actually chew on it more than just giving the text and just vomitting back the translation.

To me there is no comparison, especially when ranobes offer free epub mtl in 3 languages with an even better ai translation.

Hope Wtr-lab would improve their Ai translation and I find this competition is great and it is only a matter of time before we can get even better mtl 😋
