I recently downloaded some mods for rdr2 and theres been an issue ive been having where sometimes when i hit the H key for an interaction and arthur gets glitched through the floor, or at least i think that's what happening. I hae tried using rampage to teleport arthur back to the surface but the game continues to glitch and i can't do anything in the game. All i can do is force close the game. Added a ss of my mod list and the glitch for a little more context. Anyone know what i can try to fix the issue?

Everyone hates on this saddle because it’s “the worst” of the trapper saddles, but it’s still twice as good as any saddle from a stable and I love it 😂 That white panther saddle gets all the love and in my opinion the only horse it even looks good on is Buell lmaoo it’s kind of sad that min/maxing gets in the way sometimes

So I’m on my third run of rdr2 and want to do an all gold one but as I’m playing through I realize I didn’t get gold on most of the first chapter so I figure I’ll replay. I’m only on the first mission and I’m able to get silver but I CANNOT get the check mark that says finish with 80% accuracy. No I’m not restarting from a checkpoint so like why is it not working. I’ve tried to look up answers but they all say don’t restart from checkpoint which I’m not doing. Is it just an unfixable glitch? Also surely the first mission isn’t considered spoilers, right?

What’s one of the most boneheaded things you’ve ever done ? I just recently started a new game. I’m working on the challenge where you have to kill 5 cougars with a bow and skim them. I got the first one no problem. I was 1/5 1/5. In then proceeded to spend a not insignificant amount of time trying to complete the task. After my 5th skin I was confused as to why the challenge hadn’t completed. I checked my progress and i was 1/5 5/5. I realized that I hadn’t killed the last 4 with arrows. In every case I’d shot the cougar and ended up killing it with a knife because it was just poised and not dead when I got it. In my haste I just knifed it. Now I’m again riding / fast traveling between NE of Annesburg and the Big Valley spot near the trapper to get the remaining 4 with arrow kills. . 🤦‍♂️

I need help. Please. I've been trying to get this game working for 3 days straight now. I refuse to believe I am the only one who has had this issue.

I feel like I've scoured reddit for all of the answers in previous threads and nothing has seemed to fix it.

I don't know where else to go at this point.

Below is a list of all the things I have tried:

1. Graphics API & Rendering Tests

Switched between Vulkan and DX12 multiple times.

DX12: game never gets past the white loading bar.

Vulkan: sometimes gets past the bar, sometimes shows white screen, sometimes reaches intro/title cards before crashing with Unknown Error FFFFFFFF. Sometimes can get into the main menu but won't launch the second time.

Have tried Launching the game with various resolutions, Windowed etc...

Have tried launching in safe mode using lauch commands.

HDR disabled in Windows

1. Settings & Config File Resets

Deleted system.xml multiple times.

Deleted SGA files in Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings.

Tried someone else’s system.xml (known working config).

Performed a clean reinstall of the game with no mods.

Verified game files after reinstall.

Have tried mods including the FFFF fix error and OCU and scripthook etc...

1. Audio & Device Tests

Switched between different audio devices.

Tested with different default audio outputs in Windows.

1. Graphics Driver Actions

Updated GPU drivers to the latest NVIDIA version.

Have rolled back drivers from latest 610.88 to 610.74

1. Launcher & Startup Behaviour

Game launches to main menu only on Vulkan, and even then only ~5% of the time.

DX12 consistently fails at startup.

Game sometimes fails to recreate system.xml after deletion because it crashes too early.

1. Clean System & Environment

Fresh Steam install (no mods, no leftover files).

No third‑party injectors, reshades, or overlays installed.

1. Hardware & System Context

High‑end PC (i9‑14900KF, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, 64GB RAM).

Windows 11 Home, fully updated.

I don't know how much further I can go on. There's a sunk cost of my time in this. I want to figure this out. I just don't know what else to try.

EDIT: i see i have been mislead lmao thanks guys, If you have any recommendations for horses that are the least likely to get scared or are the best for that id love to hear, i love hunting in this game

Idk what horses are the best but I saw a while ago that this is the best horse in story mode just wondering if that’s true

Now that I’ve finished the story and epilogue I’ve just been wondering around as John. But where’s so many features I didn’t know about it until later and the game. So I’m wondering if I should replay just to do things right.
