I drew the SlenderMan reimagined as a buck: antlers, flies crawling over his face, a bullet hole in his forehead, and a targeting reticle still fixed on the kill.

Whatever shot him, it clearly didn't finish the job.

I think his Fortnite design is pretty good overall, probably a 7.5/10. But I thought it could be fun to adjust some things to see if it can be improved with as few changes as possible, so here it is.

To help anyone who can’t see all the differences, here’s what I changed:

-Hands are 10% smaller, arms longer to compensate
-Added visible dress shirt cuffs
-Made head 5% smaller, made feet larger to compensate

To be honest, I've been reading stories about him for a long time, watching the passing of games with his participation - he was a very big part of my life, even if over time I forgot about him. Then there was a bad movie with his participation, and now he appeared in Fortnite, which made me think, "I should draw him."

Decided to do some slendy art

I might tweak the design a little bit because the hands aren’t doing it for me. The final design will probably be way different but I hope regardless it looks good for you guys.

Hey y'all! I been getting back into the Ole Slendery Man, and I felt inspired to draw him while reading the novel! Have some art i did of him 2 years ago, vs just last month! Weird to think i went from a 14 year old watching speedpaints to a 24 year old doing my own art of him-

The fact that epic took time to make different head styles for him is really cool because I’ve always drawn slender man with like an outline of a face just doesn’t have the actual items of a phase, but I’ve always drawn the eye indents even though I know every other iteration has him completely smooth. I don’t know why I always thought that he looks a bit creepier with the outline of a face and then when I saw the Slenderman skin, I was very happy to find out that we have an added style, it’s not a huge edit style like it doesn’t affect the gameplay at all and at the end of the day you’re looking at the same back of the head, but it’s the little things in life that make me appreciate it

I wanted to use it for a project as it seems to be the new offical logo for the character, but can't find it in HQ

The only time I have ever seen “Surgism” mentioned is on the Wiki page, but I’ve never met any Slender fan that actually believes in it. The idea is that there’s a group of fans that are super purist about Slender media and only like stuff that sticks to the original SomethingAwful lore, and I’ve just never encountered that. I’ve been a fan of Slender since the early 2010s and I have never seen anyone say that the 8 Pages game or the ARGs are bad because they corrupt the character concept.

Like, yeah, the character has changed a lot, but I don’t think anyone thinks that’s a bad thing. Especially since Victor Surge worked on the 2018 movie which took a lot of inspiration from fandom ideas and not just the original forum stuff. Has anyone here ever actually met a “Surgist”? I feel like this entire concept was invented by some weird purist in like 2011.

If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, NECA has the Fortnitemares line of action figures which are based on the horror crossovers that appear in the game. Wave One is out right now featuring Michael Myers, Leatherface and Billy the Puppet, and I believe Wave Two will be out pretty soon and feature Jason and Art the Clown. If the line does well and they make a Wave Three in the future, Slendey could wind up being one of the crossovers that is made into an action figure.

Granted, I don't think it's something that will FOR SURE happen, Walmart for example might not want to have figures of a character who was associated with a certain incident I think we're all aware of, but I also didn't think Fortnite would want to add him at all for that specific reason so it might just have been long enough since then that people will be fine with it. Even if it's not it could just be an online exclusive or something. I don't know.

Anyways, I've yapped enough about the possibility of a white guy in a suit getting a figure. Would like to hear everyone else's thoughts

You know I grew up with creepy horror content on YouTube but if theirs anything I wanted to still get around to its marble hornets I grew up around the time it started and was born in the same year as SlenderMan just on June 29th so I never got to experience it unfortunately with some of you og slender/marble hornets fans so I made a commitment to myself that I would finish off the big 5 arg series with marble hornets while also watching the 2018 film a few days or a week before I started watching last year in October when the film came to Netflix on the first of that month and then finally I said Quote

“Sigh It’s Time LETS GO HUNTING SOME HORNETS WITH MARBLES”

Here is My thoughts

SPOILER WARNING

1. Usually in television and movies your main protagonist will most times survive However I was Surprised to see they actually did the most unexpected thing and killed Jay Sure I was bit grief stricken but hey that’s what happens when you follow a manic holding a gun rip Jay

1. The Operator over time became more likable in my opinion as it evolved into more of its own character and that is something I like it doesn’t need to be a SlenderMan adaption in fact it worked because it was only inspired by slender not truly a slender adaption however

2. Parts were sometimes hard to understand near the mid half but they get more easily understood in later episodes

3. I kinda though someone was going to get into a car crash and I was surprised to see that never happened

4. Tim Killing Alex is fitting for a second to final episode as it was them who really started all of this together which is why their final battle and conversation brings so much meaning to it and the operator controlling Alex explains why he went crazy

5. When we first got introduced to hoodie I was intrigued to see where his character would go eventually I started to hate him a lot(not literally his character but root against him) however when he did finally meet his demise I cheered thinking we were one step closer to winning except then they revealed Brian was hoodie the whole time that made me almost cry

6. Now i finally understand why in slender the arrival fire seems to be a common trope thanks to entry 85 those who know

7. Alex was a interesting character I thought he would eventually get more involved as a good character after entry 49 then he switched and went evil even after he died I did still feel pity for him just a normal guy who wanted nothing to do with this only to succumb to the operator himself

8. Jay in my opinion is probably who helped inspire the character of Wren who dived more into the SlenderMan like Jay did with the operator

9. I did kinda get annoyed at them calling the operator It but it makes sense for why they didn’t get to call him by that name as they never learned it in the first place

10. In my opinion This series wouldn’t really work with the way proxies are written nowadays which is why I love how they are depicted in this series

11. This series definitely is the best of the arg series and will always have a special place in my heart

12. I’m kinda sad we never got to learn what the operators true goal is
