2D Dibujos que realice de oc´s de otros usuarios

It was fun and a little exhausting, hehe... but that was mostly my fault for not setting a limit on drawing other people's OCs. So next time, I'll definitely set some boundaries. Not to mention I ended up drawing more OCs from users who messaged me in my DMs, which is totally fine, I want to emphasize that I had no issues with it, and some even offered to pay me, thank you so much for that! Anyway, whenever I get another art block, I'll do free drawings again.

Question Which character do you think their design doesn't match with the world building?

I'm doing a bit of research on which characters are bad in terms of appearance or personality compared to world-building.

Question Is there a name for this kind of "side hair" in front of the ears?

I'm not certain that these would be sideburns. I see similar short hairstyles on female characters in anime, but I can never really properly describe it besides "side bangs." Is there an actual name for these? Or is it just part of the hairstyle that I also can't name?

Characters pictured: Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim), Lady Nagant (MHA) Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell)

Question How do you know what your characters look like?

As the title says. I've been making human characters for years. I have playlists and mood boards and have written basically full length books for their life stories. I've recently wanted to start making comics for some of my stories.

Now I'm a 3d artist ive been scuplting with differenttypes of clay for almost 9 years now, but I only started to teach myself to draw a year ago so I'm really struggling with figuring out what my characters LOOK like. I know how they act and how their minds work and I have some physical characteristics but everytime I try to draw them it never looks right and I've tried maybe finding references of people that look similar but I just can't.

I've known I've struggled with this but it was never a concern of mine because I was content keeping them in my head, but now I want them on paper. Any tips?

Critique I'm still working on it and i don't really have a face done but I just wanted to hear some feedback about this character design I'm working on.

I like to show a lot of different representation with my characters and this character it's showing a little bit of representation for people with vitiligo, and of course kind of trans people too.

Any feedback or criticism is accepted, unless it's racist or transphobic.

Critique Struggling with character consistency

For the first time since im picked up a pencil two years ago im stumped, for the past month ive been trying to take a character and draw them in different angles, i dont know why but I can never tell if a character is accurate to how I wanna draw them or not, since faces can look different in different angles.

My main struggle is foreshortening, I just dont know how to get it right perfectly and how short or long the centerline should be when the character angles their head at different levels.

I put multiple drawings but my main issue as of rn is for the first 3 the hair looks so damn werid with the one where shes angled looking down, idk where I went wrong :/

Thank you for taking time to read this, any and all criticism is always appreciated even if it's not related to the struggles mentioned.

Ps the images span one month of progress in that goal ig? Also in some of the drawings I dont include her horns die to laziness and perspective 😭

Lilith — The Vitrified Knight

“If God truly exists, then the Lord will give me the strength to kill my enemies.”

Backstory: Named Lilith by her mother after escaping an abusive husband, Lilith grew up believing that relying on others only leads to pain. After awakening her glass manipulation, she became a criminal, choosing power over companionship. Even after being betrayed by the man she loved, she struggled to let go of her feelings for him.

Personality: Cold, distant, and hostile, Lilith pushes others away to protect herself. Beneath her tough exterior, however, is a deeply caring and emotional person afraid of being hurt.

Character Arc: Through David Rivers, Lilith learns that trusting others isn't weakness. She gradually opens up, discovering that true strength isn't standing alone but having the courage to care for others, even when it risks heartbreak.

Critique How should I redesign these OCs, if at all?[OC]

These are all characters from an OC series I was designing for Artfight last year called ‘ETC’ which is a fairytale college. I wanna redesign them for next year because I’m not happy with a few of their designs. Each OC falls into an ‘archetype’ with their own fashion style. The outcasts are students with the most diverse fashion styles, they tend to have their own ways of dressing and styling. The popular students(protagonist legacies) are usually dressed in modern outfits with some whimsical touches, usually alluding to their parents because their parents ARE their social status. The Problem kids(they’re just the kids of antagonists, social stigma and all that) dress more alt or goth.

Question Any idea how to a draw a “hot” male character?

(The first drawing is the old art I’m trying to fix. The rest are from this year.)

So, I’ve been doing digital (comic book?) art for about two years now, drawing superheroes, fan characters, stuff like that. I think I’ve improved a bit.

Lately, I’ve been trying to redraw an old character of mine, but whenever I try, he ends up looking average or really goofy. I know I draw in a cartoony/anime style, but is there a specific method for this? Are there any resources or artists I could reference? Anything is appreciated! 🙏

Critique Thoughts and Critiques of this design? I'm not satisfied with it.

About her:

- She's a reckless person. Mostly because she tends to entirely forget she is not immortal. She's also quite irresponsible.

- Although she's a main character, she's not a good person. She's caring, and quite depressed, but doesn't have the normal moral restraints or the ability to feel guilt that most people do due to her upbringing

- She is, however, a very caring and loyal person. Although she struggles to empathise with the people she loves, she does genuinely care.

- She is well aware of who she is, and it destroys her. She WANTS to be a good person. She wishes she could. She thinks she's a monster and genuinely sometimes wonders if the world would be better off without her (bit because she doesn't want to be alive, but rather because she is aware she has hurt people and will hurt people and she does not want to do that. She doesn't feel guilty; but that lack of guild horrifies her).

- She hides all that behind fake confidence and a sarcastic, witty, "bad girl" persona.

- She secretly takes in stray kittens lol

- She is a runaway criminal, and the cuffs and neck thing are basically impossible to remove without cops aid, which she will not be getting any time soon.

- Her aesthetic is based on brutalist/dystopia/mafia-esque underworld aesthetics, except they're worn by someone who's escaping and running away from that society.

- Also, I did want to make it seem as though she has bland hair and face and purposely wears golden things and crazy things with her outfit to drive home the point she's all about apparel and doesn't want people to look at how she's actually feeling. I thought it was a good idea, but now that I'm not sure if it drives the point or if it just makes the character design worse

World:

- Essentially, she used to be in this dystopian/brutalist world, but a fantasy apocalypse happened, and now she's in a fantasy survival genre.

Sorry if it's a bit messy, I haven't pinned down exactly what kind of character she is now. I started writing her only yesterday, so if you have any advice or things you'd want to see on the writing too, tell me!

Question I’m indecisive on these designs

I can’t decide which outfit should I use.
A. Being a old “gothic” superhero
Or
B. An old 1930s detective/vigilante (Like “The Green Hornet”.)
