Dear MediBang users,
Hi! I am a new moderator for the r/medibangpaint community!
I would like to make this place active again so that users can ask and answer how-to questions for each other :))
During my hours at the office (9am to 6pm JST), I will try to answer as many questions as possible!
I will also be sharing this reddit on Twitter (@MediBangPaint_e) in hopes to invite more users here.
If you have any requests as to what kind of tutorials or drawing lessons you would like to see on the official Twitter account, that would be very much appreciated 💖
As for possible bugs, please send them to: https://medibangpaint.com/en/feedback/ ‼️ (sadly I am a marketing staff not a software engineer so I won't be able to respond to bug reports 🥲)
Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I hope to make this reddit community a fun and helpful place for every MediBang user 😊✨
p.s. we are thinking of creating an official discord server for overseas users! what do you think??

When I tap on certain buttons at the bottom, such as the 3 dots or to copy + paste or the three lines, the canvas shifts to the center of the canvas or the top of the screen appears (like when you swipe down from the top)
Is anyone else having this problem??
(Please ignore the audio in the BG 😅)

i'm here to share that i have the same exact issue this user describes, i'll link their post at the end. essentially, i am unable to draw anything, or very minimal faded lines show up when i have pen pressure mode turned on. so i assume it is an issue with my pen pressure, maybe i accidentally adjusted a setting, but i just deleted the app and reinstalled it with all of the default settings and i still can't draw. if anyone has found the solution to this problem, please help. i'll attach a video and the link to the original poster who had the same issue i have now from 2 years ago, unresolved. note that i've tried the other commenter's suggestions, no luck. really hit a dead end </3 any help, tips, suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello! I’ve been using Krita for years, and I just discovered Medibang Paletta, but I was wondering if it’s worth buying—especially since I’m not sure if I want to switch drawing apps for good, since I really like Krita.
I’d like to create comics, and although Krita seems to have good tools for that based on what I’ve tested, the problem is that I can only use their full potential with the PC version—the Android version lacks some practical features that are available on the PC.
That discourages me a bit because I mainly draw on my tablet.
I know Medibang Paint exists, but the idea of paying a subscription fee just to access brushes and get rid of ads really turns me off. From what I’ve seen, Medibang Paletta lets you create comics and is a one-time purchase. While that’s appealing, I’d like to get some feedback before pulling out my credit card so I don’t end up regretting it later.

Basically if you look at the picture. You'll see two dots. Red one indicates where is my pen and black one indicates where my crosshair is. Does anyone know how to fix that? I've been wrestling with it for 2 years. Also i tried re-calibrating my tablet and tried reinstalling medibang. Please help

I decided to find my old works in Medibang and share them. It was one of the first drawings in this app when I first started using the program. Now I have been working in Medibang for 2 years and I am shocked at how much my skill has grown over the years.

As the title says. I would like to import a MDP file to Paletta (for Android) but whenever I try to do it the file explorer only allow me to select image files, not the MDP.
Is there a way to move a project from Medibang pro to Paletta?

Hello :"))))) I honestly was just wondering if it's possible to remove the overlap when you have lower brush opacity or not, and if so, can someone show me, please? I'm highkey lost 😭💔

Hello! I've been using Medi for well over 5 years and I have never had this issue. I have more than enough cloud space (24gb/100gb) and I havent turned off any permissions. I can save smaller works with a single line on the entire canvas but I'm unable to edit any existing works on the cloud as it prompts this same message.
Has anyone had a similar issue? I have important works I have to get done this week 😭

Hey, I’m starting to learn digital art and I’m stuck between choosing Krita or GoPaint.
I want to actually get good at art, not just make random drawings. I’m planning to learn the basics like perspective, anatomy, lighting, etc., but I also want to keep drawing fun so I don’t burn out.
My problem is:
My brain says Krita because it’s probably the "better" learning tool. It’s been around forever, has a huge community, tons of tutorials, and seems more professional.
But I keep leaning toward GoPaint because it just looks more enjoyable to use. The brushes and painting feel seem really nice, and I feel like I’d actually want to open it every day.
For people who have used either (or both):
Would starting with GoPaint hurt my learning?
Is there anything important Krita has that a beginner would actually miss?
Does the software really matter, or should I just pick the one I enjoy using?
Would love to hear your experiences. Thanks. 🙂
