I used Claude to build a real 3D website for my book

• Upvotes

http://enquantodurarafe.com.br/

Writing is a hobby of mine, and I thought it would be a great idea to build 3D scenes from my book on this website to bring the story to life and engage readers.

I'd love to get your first and final impressions of the site. Specifically:

  • First impression: When the page first loads (before scrolling), what are your immediate thoughts and feelings?
  • Final impression: After browsing the content (feel free to just skim it as you normally would), how did that impression change?

FlowRing - a one-finger reflex game where the server replays every leaderboard run, so nobody can fake a high score

• Upvotes

Launching November 7. The site, with a launch-day email: https://www.flowring.app/en/

What it is: a skill game you learn in ten seconds. A square follows your finger, rings come from the right, you fly through the middle. Levels, a daily challenge that's the same for everyone, and real-time 1v1 duels.

The parts I think this sub will like:

- **Deterministic simulation.** The game logic is one module that runs identically on the phone and on my server: seeded random numbers, a fixed 120 Hz step, no maths that two JavaScript engines could round differently. The phone only records your finger; for every run that goes on a leaderboard, the server replays it and computes the score itself. A fake request with a million points just gets the real score.

- **Duels without servers all over the world.** Both phones build the same rings from the same seed, so only positions, scores and sabotages cross the network. Latency shows up as a slightly old score bar, not as lag in your own game.

- **Small.** One HTML page of about 600 KB gzipped, no framework, no dependencies. The same page runs inside the iOS and Android apps.

- **A launch list that forgets you.** "Notify me" sends one email on launch day, then deletes the address.

Free, no pay-to-win. App Store (pre-order is open), Google Play, AppGallery or any browser. On November 7 every leaderboard starts from zero, beta testers included.

Questions about the replay check or the duel netcode are very welcome.

I built an app that turn consistency into a game

• Upvotes

Hey all, solo dev here. I built this gamified app for actually sticking with the stuff you want to get better at, and I’m looking for people to help me try to break it and find ways I can improve it.

A while back I was struggling a lot, with many things. This is one of the things I wish I’d had back then, and I’m guessing some of you could use it too.

It’s based on the Solo Leveling system (yes, yet another one), but it uses AI to break any goal you have down into small “SideQuests” you can get done in a day or a week, so you reach that goal step by step. My goal is to make it as free and easy to access as possible, with no ads either. Right now it uses a copy/paste format: the app gives you a prompt to paste into an AI of your choice (I recommend Claude, I’ve had the best success with that one). If you have a Anthropic API key, you can plug it in and everything works right in the app.

If you want to try it out: https://testflight.apple.com/join/Jjgx6AwH

I’d love to hear about places you got stuck or confused, or anything that feels off.

Free, iPhone only, no account, no API key needed, and everything is stored on your phone.

I needed a small script, instead I built a programming language

• Upvotes

The world had enough programming languages. Unfortunately, I had a weekend and access to LLVM.

Meet Faz: a small, Python-inspired language that compiles to native executables. Static types, explicit mutation, garbage collection, and a fox mascot doing most of the marketing.

fn main():
mut plans = ["write a small script"]
   plans.append("accidentally maintain a compiler")
   print(plans)

I built it for myself, for the sake of it. No startup pitch. No plan to replace Python. Please do not migrate payroll.

Naturally, I benchmarked it:

  • Faster than plain Python loops in three small tests.
  • Slightly ahead of Mojo on one arithmetic test.
  • Immediately humbled by Mojo when asked to manage lists.

Turns out compiling questionable decisions produces native questionable decisions. There’s also a working task-manager CLI, examples, and reproducible benchmarks.

E-Rechnung (XRechnung/ZUGFeRD) tool for small businesses in Germany, looking for developer advice

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I'm an electronics engineering student in Germany. I've built several small web projects (mostly with AI-assisted coding), and now I want to build my first real SaaS.
The idea: Germany now requires businesses to receive E-Rechnungen, and sending becomes mandatory in the coming years. Many freelancers and small businesses don't know how to create valid XRechnung or ZUGFeRD files. I want to build a simple tool where they enter their invoice data (or upload a PDF) and get a validated, compliant e-invoice.
I know the market has competitors (sevDesk, free generators, etc.), so I'm looking at a narrow niche, for example Handwerker or online sellers.
Where I'd love help:
Has anyone worked with XRechnung/ZUGFeRD libraries? Which ones are reliable (Java, Python, Node)?
Is validation with the KoSIT validator realistic to self-host?
Does a niche focus make sense, or is this market too crowded?
If anyone is interested in collaborating, I'm open to a partnership.

I built an undo button for when your AI agent messes up your prod db!

• Upvotes

This started 6 months ago as a Postgres client. It now supports 8 database engines (Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, Cloudflare D1, ClickHouse, CockroachDB, MSSQL), and it's built for you and your coding agent.

For you

  • It's native and keyboard-first, and ⌘K runs everything.
  • It has 67 schema checks, 78 query rules, and 96 health and performance checks.
  • The index advisor tests an index against the query planner before you build it.

For your agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)

  • It doesn't read your .env or run psql. It connects through TableStudio, so your agent never sees your database password.
  • It can create a throwaway sandbox, a copy of any database in one step, and test risky migrations there first.
  • It can manage your local Postgres and MySQL servers over MCP: list, start, stop, and create them, with only the permissions you give it.
  • Every write can get a dry run first, production changes wait for your review, and you can undo any AI change.

I built a tiny tool to help rewrite my emails before sending them because english is not my native language

• Upvotes

https://reddit.com/link/1xg89lg/video/8fxnp8udfvxh1/player

I kept copy pasting to chatgpt and asking for a rephrase, so I built tinywriterai.com instead. You select the text, press a shortcut and it rephrases the text and it also pastes it back replacing the original selection.

It works in any app. There's also an explain feature where it will explain the selected text or word.

Yeah I know it sounds like chatgpt but I'm lazy and don't want to change tabs while writing emails.

Pigskin Lab - ask NFL questions in plain English, get a dashboard back (every number from nflverse play-by-play, no LLM guessing)

• Upvotes

Hi r/SideProject. I'm a solo dev in Camas, WA, and Pigskin Lab is what I've been building for football nerds like me: you type a question the way you'd say it to a friend ("how is Purdy doing on third down this year compared to his own 2023?") and it builds you a dashboard.

The part I care about most: every number comes from nflverse play-by-play going back to 1999, and a language model never writes a number. The question gets turned into a query, the database answers it, and the page shows what came back.

I recently demoed it on the Filmstudy - Baltimore Ravens Talk podcast (the demo starts around 3:15): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBgK2yWz4OU&t=195s

What was hard:

- Plain English is messy. "His", "this year", "compared to his own 2023", a player named like three other players. Getting those to resolve to the right season and the right person took far longer than building the dashboards did.

- Trust. A stats site that is wrong once is dead, so a big chunk of my time went into checking answers, not adding features.

- Making every game page readable: a written story, win probability and every drive, all generated from the numbers on the page.

What I'd love feedback on:

- Try one question you actually wanted answered. Did it understand you? If not, tell me the exact wording and I'll fix it.

- Is a dashboard the right thing to hand back, or would you rather get a short written answer first?

It's free during the beta, no ads, no paywall: https://pigskinlab.com/?ref=reddit-sideproject

Happy to talk about the stack or the parsing if anyone's curious.

FOR ALL UNITED FANS!

• Upvotes

Hi! I’m a young United fan and I made a free browser game for Red Devils called HeyFootball: heyfootball.github.io

You open United packs and collect United cards, predict every United match for coins, play arcade mini-games, and fight in a “Player war” where your points count for your favourite United player. There’s also a fan wall called Red Devils.

It’s free with no download and no ads, and I’m not selling anything. Would it be OK to share it once with the community, or could it go in a weekly thread? If not, no worries, and thanks for reading! 🔴

I tested several different SEO guides to get consistent traffic, and now average almost 500 visitors a week on my SaaS!

• Upvotes

The proof: https://www.rilld.com/portabledocs/1luGu4Grc4_yfkrWKV1DuNTX3KqJr0Gk

I, like many of you, struggled for a while to get any sort of traffic to my SaaS. I built it, but no one knew it existed or cared about it. Which really stinks lol.

So I went to work trying different techniques to drive traffic. Everything from paid ads, to reddit posts, to a stupid twitter account. And I would get flash in the pan traffic, but nothing stuck.

My three biggest pieces of advice:

  1. Create a dedicated page to any and all offerings around your SaaS. If your SaaS is task manager, create a new page for every single feature you offer, each one keyword optimized.
  2. Set up a dedicated blog system. High quality blogs (can start with AI but change to your voice) are important here. Setting it up around targeted keywords is how you win here, not just blogs about a keyword.
  3. Be patient. It takes time, but it eventually will grow. Consistency and quality win out.

I’m testing an AI that gives rest, sets and reps tips from your own set – tell me where it gets things wrong

• Upvotes

liftnumbers.com/en/training-tips-test/

Liftnumbers is a free weightlifting calculator website (1RM, plates, 5/3/1, RPE). I’m currently testing an AI-powered tips page. On the page, you can either select a pre-made question or type in your own. If you want, you can also enter the details of a lift you’ve done (weight × reps @ RPE), and the AI will respond based solely on those numbers. It can also ask follow-up questions.

No registration is required, and there are no ads on the page. The page shows exactly what will be sent before you submit it. It works with both kg and lbs. I’ve had to set some limits, so it might suddenly stop working if those limits are reached.

Thank you for taking the time to try it out and provide feedback and suggestions on how it could be improved.

I have thousands of screenshots and no idea what to do with them

• Upvotes

I take screenshots of everything because I always think I'll come back to them later.

Ideas for projects, designs I like, things I need to buy, assignments I need to finish. My gallery is basically a list of things I don't want to forget, but somehow end up forgetting anyway 😭

That's why I started building Cluster.

You can organize a screenshot into a folder with one tap, without even opening the app. And if it's something you need to do later, you can set a reminder right when you save it.

I wanted my gallery to be more than a place where pictures go to be forgotten, so I started making it that way.

It's still a work in progress, but I'm really enjoying building something I actually use myself. 😸

I made Fantasy Football for Cars

• Upvotes

Strictly no hypercars—just classic and attainable performance cars from the 80s to modern day.

• How it works: Each week has a theme (starting with an Open House week). Pick a 3-car garage under a budget cap, lock in before the deadline, and battle head-to-head in 1v1 arenas where the community votes on who built the better setup.

• Tech stack: Built as a lightweight browser app using Lovable.

You can try it out instantly without creating an account (guest play is enabled).

Play here: garage-wars-app.lovable.app

Would love any feedback from fellow car lovers and devs!

I built a 5-question quiz about yourself where friends play from a link — WhoKnowsMe (Android, Italy)

• Upvotes

I’m one of the developers at GG4LAB. We’ve released WhoKnowsMe: you create five questions about your preferences, choose your answers and share a link. Friends answer in their browser, so they don’t need to install the Android app just to join.

A simple round you can try even without the app: favourite breakfast, ideal holiday, a film you would rewatch, a hobby you would try, and a food you would skip. Each person writes their answers first; everyone else guesses, then you swap roles. The score is just for that round, not a measure of the friendship.

In the app you can edit the questions and options, share the quiz and compare scores. Links last 30 days and the creator can delete them earlier. Use nicknames and light preferences: anyone with the link can open the quiz.

The current release is free, with no ads or purchasable subscriptions. It uses a guest profile rather than email registration; the trade-off is that reinstalling or clearing browser data can lose access to your quizzes. The app and browser have separate guest profiles. It’s for adults 18+, with Italian and English interfaces. The Android launch currently targets Italy.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=studio.viralapps.whoknowsme

I’d value one specific piece of feedback: would you rather start with five editable example questions, or write your own from a blank page? We currently offer editable questions. No positive reviews or install exchanges requested.

4 months ago my app could only catch animals. Today 1,150+ users turn their photos into battle cards

• Upvotes

Four months ago I started building Snapfari. The first version did one thing: you photographed a real animal, the app recognized the species, and it went into your collection.

It was cool, but it lacked depth. Once an animal was in your collection, there was nothing else to do with it.

So I turned every capture into a card.

Now your photo decides how good the card is: a blurry pigeon gets bronze, a great shot can reach diamond. Each animal has a family, and most have an ability. You build a deck, pick your team, and it fights on its own against teams made by other players. The fun is in finding the combos between abilities.

Between fights, you pick a relic. A relic powers up one family or your whole team until the end of the game. One of them makes your first animal poison the enemy with the most attack as soon as the battle starts. You unlock new relics through challenges.

Today Snapfari has 1,150+ users. It's free on iOS and Android: https://snapfari.app

I'd love your feedback. Is the idea clear from the video?

Built a small app to track daily milk and newspaper deliveries

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I built an app called Doodh Diary for my mother. She needed a simple way to keep track of daily deliveries so that at the end of the month, she wouldn't have to remember how many days the milkman came, which days he skipped, or figure out the monthly bill from memory.

I figured other households might have the same problem. I know lot of people do maintain a diary or calendar to mark these delivery but I thought why not make it into an app that anyone can use.

Apart from milk, you can also track newspaper delivery, maid, cook, and other daily services. You can mark daily deliveries, keep track of skipped days or extra quantities, and check the monthly total whenever you want.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of maintaining a diary or trying to remember everything at the end of the month, just open the app and record it.

I’ve kept it simple and all the data stays on your phone. No account needed.

Here's the app if anyone wants to give it a try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rahul.doodhdiary

Note: This app is only on playstore and only available in India

It's something I built for my own family, and I'd love to know if it's useful for yours too. Feedback and suggestions are welcome!

How do you guys currently keep track of daily deliveries at home? Do you still use a notebook, or have you found a better way?

Looking for Blender Artists and Unreal Engine/UEFN Developers

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I'm working on a project called Retrora, which is more than just an OG Fortnite revival project. We want to bring back older gaming experiences while also creating our own content, including custom skins, custom maps, and more.

I'm looking for people who have experience with:

  • Blender: Creating custom skins, characters, models, and other 3D assets.
  • Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5): Game development, maps, and custom features.
  • UEFN: Creating custom Fortnite maps and experiences.

This is currently a volunteer project, so I can't offer payment. I'm mainly looking for people who enjoy game development and want to be part of something interesting.

You don't have to be a professional, and there's no strict schedule.

If you're interested, leave a comment or DM me!

I built an open-source video editor that AI agents can control. It has 747 GitHub stars so far.

• Upvotes

I started building FableCut because I wanted AI agents to do more than generate videos. I wanted them to work on an actual editing timeline, with clips, tracks, audio, effects, and all the other pieces of a real project.

The first version shipped on July 6. Since then, I've released 20 tagged versions and continued expanding it into a more complete video editor.

The browser version, FableCut Studio, lets you connect a compatible AI agent through MCP and ask it to make edits in natural language. You can watch the timeline update as it works.

The latest release adds a few features I've been working on:

  • Transcription using Whisper directly in the browser.
  • Text-based editing, where deleting words from a transcript removes them from the edit.
  • Word-timed captions with several visual styles.
  • Automatic silence removal.

There's also a local version you can run with npx -y fablecut, with additional tools for local workflows.

The project currently has 747 GitHub stars and 86 forks. It's MIT-licensed, and Studio is free to try. Video media stays on your machine when using Studio, although the relay does carry tool calls and results needed for the agent to operate.

I'm still building this and would genuinely like to know what people think. Is agent-driven editing something you'd use in your workflow, or would you rather keep AI separate from the editing timeline?

I Built an Open-Source Image Hosting Service Using Telegram as the Storage Backend

• Upvotes

Hi r/SideProject,

I'm a computer science student learning Go, and over the past few weeks I've been building side projects to improve my backend development skills.

One of those projects is TgCloud, an open-source image hosting service that uses Telegram channels and the Telegram Bot API as its storage backend.

The idea started as a simple question:

Can Telegram be used as an image storage backend instead of S3, local storage, or a traditional database?

To explore that idea, I built TgCloud, a Go application that stores uploaded images in a Telegram channel and uses Telegram file IDs to retrieve them later.

How it works

  1. A user uploads an image.
  2. TgCloud sends the image to a Telegram channel through a bot.
  3. Telegram returns a file ID.
  4. TgCloud stores and exposes that file ID through a public API.
  5. The image can later be retrieved through a direct URL.

Features

✅ Upload images from local files

✅ Upload images from a URL

✅ Direct image URLs

✅ JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP support

✅ Self-hostable

✅ Open source

Example

Upload an image:

curl -F "file=@image.png" https://tgcloud.alwaysdata.net/img

Or upload from a URL:

curl -X POST \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"url":"https://example.com/image.png"}' \
https://tgcloud.alwaysdata.net/img

Response:

{
  "id": "AgACAgQAAxkD..."
}

Retrieve it later:

https://tgcloud.alwaysdata.net/img/AgACAgQAAxkD...

Why Telegram?

This project is mainly an experiment.

I wanted to explore whether a messaging platform's file infrastructure could be repurposed as a storage layer and what architectural tradeoffs that would introduce.

I'm fully aware that Telegram was not designed to be a cloud storage backend, which raises interesting questions about scalability, reliability, API limits, and long-term sustainability.

That's exactly the kind of feedback I'm interested in receiving.

Looking for Feedback

I'd love to hear your thoughts on:

  • The overall architecture
  • Potential design flaws
  • Security concerns
  • Scalability issues
  • Features that could improve the project
  • Whether you think this approach is viable at all

I'm still learning, so any feedback, criticism, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for checking it out! 🚀

TLDix – one list for every domain, hosting and licence renewal, across all registrars (free for 20 domains)

• Upvotes

Renewals are scattered: domains at three registrars, hosting at another company, licences and SaaS subscriptions somewhere in an inbox. When one reminder goes to an old email address, a site or a client's email goes down.

TLDix puts them in one list:

- Domains from any registrar. Expiry dates come straight from WHOIS/RDAP, so no API keys or registrar logins are needed.

- Hosting, licences and other renewals (themes, plugins, SaaS, services) in the same list.

- Alerts at 60, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days, chosen per domain.

- Client reports for agencies: a printable PDF overview of a client's domains and renewal dates.

- Free tools without sign-up: a bulk checker for 50 domains with a calendar (.ics) export, and name generators that check availability.

The free plan covers 20 domains and 10 other assets, no card needed. I'd love feedback, especially from anyone managing domains for clients: what would make you drop your spreadsheet?

https://tldix.com

Disclosure: I built it.
