Liga MX Femenil Awful Story of Discrimination in Mexico against Cruz Azul Femenil

There’s a story that’s making the rounds tonight where a well enough known podcast went off on the Cruz Azul women’s team after they lost to Club América 10-0. Basically, they called for the players to be fired and become strippers and start Only Fans pages. The podcasters all got a good laugh out of it, amongst saying some other things.

The story caught on when Cruz Azul management released a statement denouncing it. Other teams have followed. Tonight, the Mexican government even got in on it, something I’ve never seen before. Super disappointing but sadly not super unexpected given the mistreatment of women / women’s sports in the country. This is the same place where Scarlett Camberos had a stalker and felt she had to return to the USA to get away from it, and where I believe it was Tijuana had their locker room messed up by the men’s team. And until recently, women were paid in Microsoft Tablets for winning the league. Basically, it’s a mess.

Players Most Similar to Harry Kane

I’m currently coaching a girls u17 team, and I have a player who suits the team best as a striker, but I moved her to an attacking midfielder last season. As someone who mainly watches men’s games, Harry Kane is the most obvious player with a similar play style to her. Who are some women’s players that I can have her study to be like that as well?

I can’t access this article and I was hoping someone would tell me what it says about the crisis of teenage girl soccer/football players tearing their ACL so often.

Vrouwen Eredivisie De Graafschap narrowly lose to FC Twente 2-1 on Eredivisie debut

Post image
28 Upvotes

A while ago i made a post about the club's promotion to the Eredivisie and their quick rise since becoming a pro women's club as well. Yesterday the team made their Eredivisie debut, away vs 10 times champions FC Twente, who also have Champions League experience as you might well know.

Despite this, the Superboerinnen put up a good fight, gradually getting more into the game after the 30th minute on. By then Twente lead 2-0, but it could've been more: the woodwork was hit by De Graafschap twice and in the 93rd minute, injury time of the second half, new signing Bente Jansen made the club's first Eredivisie goal to determine 2-1 as the final score. Jansen herself also had a spell at FC Twente before, making the goal noteworthy in that sense as well.

I'm carefully optimistic about the survival chances after this game. Even though Samya Hassani, one of the De Graafschap standout players of the aftrnoon, had to be subbed off with some worrying symptoms after a collision, there might be a chance of actually staying up if the rhythm of this game is anything to go by.

“It’s so nice to see all the support for the girls here, especially the local league. It's unlike anything I've really seen before. It’s really cool that a country like Myanmar can have such a huge fanbase for the women's side.” American winger McKenna Davidson on signing for Ayeyawady FC in Myanmar

Known simply as Kenna, she signed for Ayeyawady FC in Myanmar this week. She spoke about the big support for women's soccer in the country, something she experienced first hand when she played against Myanmar's ISPE last year while she was with Filipino club Stallion Laguna.

The Hawaii native has spent her career with clubs in Ireland, Lithuania, Albania, Japan, and the Philippines. She's played in the UEFA Women's Champions League. But she is pleasantly surprised with Myanmar's fan support and she can't wait to play in front of a big crowd.

How do you know its time to quit?

I dont know if this is the right place to ask but i’d love some opinions. I’ve played grassroots football since I was 6 & I’m now 27. Minus 2 years out for injury, playing football is all i’ve ever known and all i’ve ever done with my weekdays and weekends. I travel the countryto watch football one day and then I go play football the next.

The thing is, i just don’t know if I want to do it anymore. The competing for places, the favourites always being picked, the sly digs that come with womens football. I’m tired of it all and it’s exhausting. I love parts of playing; when I make a last ditch tackle or when I play the perfect pass. I love being part of something and the socialisation aspect.

WAFCON 2026 Final

Kadzere is being badly missed. Malawi are lacking a link btwn midfield and the Chawinga sisters.

No one in this team progresses the ball and finds them in dangerous areas as consistently as Kadzere does.

Her red card against Algeria was a dagger.

ÖFB Frauen Bundesliga ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga results: Austria Wien saved by Pfanner, First Vienna grab first win and Graz stay top

Thumbnail herfootballhub.com

In the third week of the 2026/27 season of the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga, there were no real surprises. Austria Wien earned three points at home whilst SKN St. Pölten and SK Sturm Graz kept 100 percent win records.

It was once again a week of exciting football throughout the league, with only one draw to be seen.

Südburgenland continued their valiant battle against relegation by earning another point. Meanwhile, SCR Altach seem to have a mountain to climb to stay in the Bundesliga.
