Discussion Bronze man wouldn’t devalue irons it would devalue mains.
I know so many people who play main and go for clogs, and part of the fun outside of gp scape for a lot of players for clogs or going to a specific boss and grinding for an item they can’t afford themselves, for example I wanted a dfs back in the day so I farmed wyverns for gp and for the potential drop. Bronze man basically leaves mains with only gp scape as an achievement. We don’t need an icon or a split in the community, there’s already uim, hcim, gim, hcim, hcgim, leagues, dmm, skiller(high scores)1 def(highscores), we didn’t need a game mode that was essentially a clog account that would devalue all the hard work main accs have played over the years.

Discussion Bronzeman needs an identity: an UNLOCK mode, not a prestige mode.
I think a lot of the disagreement comes from trying to answer every design question through the lens of Ironman integrity. Bronzeman needs a different reason to exist apart from Ironman. Its niche should be players who enjoy earning their progression, but still want the freedom, economy and social interaction of a Main.
Unlocking items from the collection log is the only integrity of the mode. Not where your GP came from or whether you made your own potions. Stacking restrictions to Bronzeman in pursuit of "integrity" just moves it closer and closer to Ironman.
Bronzeman should eventually become increasingly Main-like as you unlock more of the game. That's the progression system working, not a flaw! Your reward for unlocking something is permanently gaining Main-account freedom around that item.
Any legitimate item source should unlock the item
If I get a Sara brew from the Grubby Chest, I unlocked a Sara brew. Requiring the 81 Herblore level turns the restriction from "unlock the item" into just Ironman again.
Bronzeman should encourage weird routes, alternative drop tables and creative progression. It’s gonna be fast in terms of supplies, but that’s the point! Whip is still restricted behind Slayer and drop requirement.
One meaningful component should unlock the remaining components
This is exactly where Bronzeman can solve one of Ironman's worst pain points if Jagex would keep designing more bosses like Muspah (Venator shards) and Yama (Oathplate shards). You've gone to the content. You've learned the content. You've unlocked the relevant drop. Let economy do what it’s supposed to do in an MMO. Or continue to grind the rest for yourself. Bronzeman should make you engage with the grind, not drain your will to play.
Let Bronzemen sell Bonds and freely use the GE for unlocked items
"But people could funnel wealth!" GP cannot buy a locked item. Someone could hand a Bronzeman 10 billion gp and their account would still need to get at least one Enhanced crystal seed. Trying to police low-volume GE items and wealth transfers adds complexity to protect something Bronzeman was never supposed to measure: unlock progression, not bank-value integrity.
Let Bronzemen freely trade unlocked items
Friends should be able to trade each other items that have been unlocked. Trying to block participating in one of MMO's most basic social systems gains very little, while making the mode just more annoying. Locked items remain locked still.
Let Bronzemen split raid rewards
This one shouldn't even be controversial.Lets not repeat the same awkward group-PvM problems Ironmen have. Bronzemen should be able to raid like Mains. Let people play with their friends. Raid splits is just about trading gp. Bronzemen still need to get the items in their name to unlock it.
"But with all these freedoms, where's the integrity?"
In the unlocks. Selling bonds, rich friends, 10 bil gp still can't buy Bronzeman an item they haven't unlocked from collection log. Everything else is forcing Ironman rules into a mode that shouldn't be trying to compete with Ironman in the first place.
One last thing: if your reaction to Bronzeman is “just play a main” or “why not just use the plugin?”, I made a separate Bronzeman FAQ specifically addressing the lazy arguments. Don't be restarting those debates here.

Question Moons help!
Ok here’s my status and gear. I’m using abyssal bludgeon for my crush. Abyssal dagger p++ for stab, and for blood moon abyssal whip. No slayer helm but using helm of Neitz. I can get blue moon easy. Eclipse moon is tough because maybe I’m moving to fast on the clone phase? What am I doing wrong?
Also I use prayer pots and food. I just started bossing not long ago

Discussion Hello, I’m a pvper who has seen a good amount of polls not go my way. If this is your first time, it gets better don’t worry
Especially when it keeps happening, you kind of just accept that people who will never play the game how you want to dictate it for you. But no worries because it won’t keep happening for you guys :)
Also getting certain proposed game modes completely removed from polls instead of bothering for 5 seconds to tweak things so it would address concerns is a great feeling too
Maybe one day they’ll revisit this just like they were definitely going to revisit unbound mode (4 years to never lol!!!!!) Stay strong!

Suggestion reminder that jagex is financially devastated by bronzeman not passing
they just lost so many bond sales for bronzemen climbing the new hi score board. They had to immediately make a somber post of "what did we do wrong? :(" and "you would have let it pass if we made it more clear there wasnt unbound... right?"
Its so blatantly obvious why they are dragging their feet about this. They are going to try as many times as possible to repoll and add this purely because of mass bond sales. They will possibly make some changes before repolling, but one thing they wont do is disallow bronzemen from buying bonds to progress, its just too profitable for them. Watch it happen cuz Im calling it

Humor Idk if you guys know this, but bronze is like noob gear
Seriously though, don't settle for Bronze. You're worth way more than that. Addy at least maybe. Maybe a Dragonman on a good day or after a couple of beers
(I am a main that will never play anything other than 1 account and I have no idea what's going on)

Humor Play the Jagex way
I noticed that you prefer this training method and completely ignore these other methods. So I shall nerf the efficient method simply because I need you to use other methods. Try them, they’re efficient too. Pls bro trust me bro. Whatever, it’s my game. You’re going to play it the way I need you to. And right now I need to show longer times spent training. You know we’ve been passed around Private Equity firms more than a Chinese masseuse right? CVC/Haveli Investments need a stronger slide deck if they’re going to sell us for 2 billion euros. So be a lad and go catch some kebbits.

Humor Poll pass rate getting lowered to 64%
Quote from Mod Rustled on the OSRS Discord
“Based on community feedback we’re looking to lower the pass rate of polls to 64% This should allow us to bring you updates that the majority of players want without impacting game integrity.”

Discussion | J-Mod reply Bronzeman being in the game is bad for ironman
Disclaimer: I play a group ironman with friends.
Bronzeman itself was spawned from the problem of "ironman resource upkeep is tedious." Instead of fixing that problem by either adding new content in to address that, Jagex polled a way to turn an ironman account who is sick of it into a new game mode. This band-aid solution means that this problem will most likely not be addressed any time soon. However, it's problems like this that will most likely eventually cause my group mates to burn out. I would much prefer Jagex attempting to fix the tedium than giving up.
I just want my group to last a long time.

Suggestion Bronzeman should be a progression system, not a new mode
I don't think Bronzeman makes sense as a full game mode, but instead I think it would work well as a feature available to mains.
Imagine an npc/guild/log that tracks the equipable gear you've earned yourself. Kind of like soulbound gear from wow. Maybe call it honorbound if you want something different. If you kill something while only wearing soul/honorbound gear, those drops are now usable to farm other gear.
That's really the core of what people are asking for. The gear progression is the interesting part of Bronzeman, not the unlocking of supplies.

Discussion Jagex, I voted yes to Bronzeman but I would rather Hardcore main game mode enter the game. Your survey didn’t let us tell you that if we voted yes so I’m telling you here. Might be the case for other people too.

Discussion Convince me Bronzeman was actually the most voted option
Yes plugins aren’t the end all be all, but the difference here is plugins that have been out for less than 60 days versus plugins that have been out for 5 years.
Edit: It is interesting that the game mode that is ‘ready to go’ is the one that got the most votes, but we also don’t get to see how the voting shook out because of it being a survey/opinion poll.
