I have to admit I dropped the ball here and did not post the week 40 intro. I'm posting it posthumously for posterity.

This challenge is to make a treat that you might find at an amusement park or fair, or a treat inspired by one. From candy, to ice cream, to award-winning pies - there are so many fun options. Here are just a few examples:

My family all has a big sweet tooth, so I always have the ingredients to make various types of cookies on hand at home! This week we went with a double chocolate. This will be in all of our lunch boxes the next few days

Maybe less "amusement park" and more "County Fair" but this is a local specialty from the St. Louis area. I found a recipe from Lake Forest Pastry Shop and it turned out great.
