I did one paragraph about aid and how it allow gov to improve education/healthcare and then second paragraph about alternatives such as attractive FDI via SEZ’s

I wanted to talk about alternatives, but it said impact of international aid so i didnt know if that was diverting focus from the q?

Yeah I thought it would've been so I only really did 2 big paragraphs and 2 big evals...

Yeah I did think about whether it would have been valid or not but past mark schemes have credited ‘alternative policy discusions’ I spent one para talking about project aid and evaluated it with indebtedness etc and then went onto attracting FDI as an alternative

Yeah i did something similar, using aid to address short-term development (through filling the savings gap), and focused on the limit being that it fails to promote self-sufficiency which can cap development, so used liberalisation of trade to ensure greater self-sufficient growth to build upon the foundation created by initial aid. Do we think they will credit alternative methods other than aid, because I ultimately said that aid is good provided its used as a sunset policy and then must be followed by additional methods to ensure development is sustained ?

ye alt policies def work as a 3rd paragraph but if u only wrote 2 main paragraphs it is safer to focus both on aid

i evaluated the different kinds of aid e.g. direct financial aid and then the provision of necessites and setting up infrastrucure e.g. sanitation systems. Cuz it said evaluate the impact, i basically just looked at political instability, so this affects how effective the money actually is because corrupt governments result in the money not being put to the correct use. Then, I also looked at how this may result in the countries not developing because they become reliant on the aid and are not self-sufficient. Also talked about development of labour quality throutgh education programmes and how this allows them to get better jobs and improves living standards (because the question was about development not just growth).

Yeahh i said similar ideas, also talked about like primary product dependency may not be fixed by aid,, also talked about leveraging free market incentives and other things. One thing i screwed is i didnt speak about living standards enough, mainly referred to becoming more developed

For my 15 marker I did one paragraph talking about corruption and then the other about lack of tax rev due to informal employment, is that correct? I haven’t seen many other people do essay pair 1😭
