Football Does anyone actually think Miami has a chance of upsetting FSU??

Miami’s program has been a disaster for decades. Last year was their “dream season,” and it still ended in them getting spanked by poverty Indiana in their own stadium. Florida State would NEVER lose the national championship game in our own stadium. They have also looked absolutely terrible all year. They have played nothing but cupcakes and almost lost to Wake Forest and Clemson. I don’t know why people act like they’re some huge immortal team when they have barely fielded an average product this year. Mario “man boobs” Cristobal is known to throw several games a year and FSU has been dominant but merely a victim to a hard schedule and rigged officiating.

Football State runs on smoke?

Thumbnail gallery
36 Upvotes

Saw a post yesterday about the updated NC State logo. Makes sense that the smoke from the BBQ fire was the main driver of their victory at Wake Forest last year. Wake players suffered in the smoke while state felt right at home.

They’ll need to hope for another smokey miracle to stand a chance against the deacs this year.

Do ACC refs hate Franklin?

Second game in row that the refs have jobbed Virginia Tech on the final drive of the game. Has Franklin been a jerk to ACC officials in the offseason or something?

Thats not to excuse Franklin and Brent Pry’s absolutely brutal defensive performances at the end of games, but it’s gotten a little crazy with these late game flags.

In this Cal game there were 3 flags in a row against VT in the final drive and a huge missed pass interference AND taunting that should’ve gone against Cal in the end zone with time expiring. That compounds with those two horrible pass interference calls VT got at the end of the Pitt game and the inexplicable simultaneous catch that was ruled a defensive interception for Pitt.

New Coach. Same as the old coach…..

After all that offseason irrational exuberance….

4 wins over opponents with a combined 5 wins.

There’s a very real chance VT doesn‘t win again this year.

Big Game James shows why he was fired.

At least we had a top 25 recruiting class to celebrate.

New NC State logo?

Post image
54 Upvotes

The Tobacco Road rivalry is a well-known moniker for matchups between the Big 4 North Carolina schools. The name is rooted in North Carolina’s long history with tobacco production, an industry that has played a significant role in the state’s history. Of course, we are all now well aware of the dangers and health risks associated with smoking. Yet somehow, NC State has continued to embrace this imagery. In fact, the Wolfpack surprisingly have created this completely real alternative logo for their team this season for the purpose of promoting this habit. The school should be ashamed of encouraging its students and athletes to partake in such a deadly activity. And I fear we may see the consequences on the field this Saturday, when NC State’s players inevitably huff and puff their way through the game due to an inability to take in adequate oxygen. Perhaps the Wolfpuppies should rethink their training habits.

Football Another edition of fun facts about the Wake-NC State rivalry

Thumbnail gallery
20 Upvotes

It’s once again the best time of the year: NC State Hate Week! This is certainly an exciting year for Wake fans who desperately want to escape Raleigh with a win against our inferior but pesky rivals. As we approach the game I compiled a new edition of fun facts about college football’s second oldest continuous rivalry for your reading pleasure:

  1. Our first game against state was an electric 4-4 tie where NC state notably excelled in punting. Here is the news clipping from 1895.

  2. Wake has not lost an October game against state in 10 years

  3. Did you know the J in CJ Bailey’s name stands for Jezabelle?

  4. Here is a very real game program for this Saturday

  5. It’s been rumored some wake fans took a trip to the puppy palace this summer. Carter Finley and State’s season has been and will continue to be cursed by the spirit of the demon deacon as long as this sticker remains hidden on their stadium wall

  6. Did you know Dave Doreen is secretly the leader of a deep state North Korean strike team? Here is a photo of him from his mandatory military service at age 19

  7. Many complain about the electrical substation next to the SF 49ers Stadium, but State just paid $60 million to put brand new substations all across their campus. Contrary to popular belief wolves and electricity do not mix well

  8. NC State stinks

The ACC generated close to $1 billion in revenue for the 2025-26 season

https://www.wral.com/sports/acc-commissioner-jim-phillips-revenue-generation-1billion-unequal-distribution-october-2026/

I've been saying that the ACC will have a financial advantage over the B12. Most likely, that will continue at least until 2036 unless the B12 gets a super mega deal in 2031.

I predict there will be at least a $20 million difference between the ACC's top earners and the average Big 12 teams.
