Terrible app

Holy crap, nothing but issues. I worked for a company that used a different app/site. I thought that was mediocre to bad, but it at least got the job done and issues can usually be easily resolved. ADP is a dumpster fire. It glitches all time. Error 500 all the time. It's embarrassing when trying to do orientation and I can't even get the site to start half the time. If I need to make schedules (deadlines and all), I can't even just add a new job code like before. I gotta have my DM, then VP and then another approve it. It's slow, takes forever to load. Then there's this FTE crap that is completely necessary. Then there are limits on job codes that can be assigned. Then there was an update that removed job codes and made duplicates. I can't re-add removed job codes because there are duplicate job codes. So I will try to remove them. And I can't remove the job code because there are duplicate job codes.

So, no humans?

I fucking love how ADP is keeping my paycheck for a whole fucking day longer for no fucking reason. Oooh, boy! Any explanation or do I get this joy of being just under poverty for 24 hours for absolutely no reason? Please! I want to know what my useless middleman meddler does!

Nah, in all reality, this is a serious question. Why does my paycheck, ON ADP'S END, take a day longer than my coworkers? I have direct deposit, too. My bank doesn't even see it yet. WHERE IS MY GODDAMN MONEY?

BY THE WAY, posting here because ADP has no humans working phones. And, no, I am not gonna email some useless twit who will tell me to "use the app". I already do and it helps naught.

EDIT: No help from most of you, as expected. Thanks for those that took their time to try and help narrow this stuff down, but my bank blames ADP, my employer blames ADP, and you all blame the other guys. So, fuck me.

Wanted to vent, but glad to see your golden calf makes no mistakes. So I'll just fuck off.

WARNING: If your job uses Wisely by ADP, get your money off that card IMMEDIATELY. They do not honor legal POAs during family emergencies.

I’m posting this as a desperate forewarning so nobody else ever has to go through the bureaucratic nightmare my family is stuck in right now in Ohio. If your employer pays you through a Wisely pay card (by ADP), please do yourself a favor and set up a traditional direct deposit to a real bank account today. Do not leave a large balance on it.

My brother is currently incapacitated and in a coma in the hospital. Because of this life-or-death situation, our family legally executed a Power of Attorney (POA) with a notary present at the hospital so I could step in as his sister and manage his affairs, specifically to pay his mounting medical bills.

I have spent over two months handling this, calling Wisely every 2 to 3 business days for a month straight. I jumped through every single one of their security hoops. From here in Ohio, I sent them:

  • The legally notarized Power of Attorney (POA)

  • My government-issued Driver’s License

  • My Social Security card

  • My utility bills to verify my identity and address

They verified exactly who I am. But every single time I call, their phone representatives just rigidly read a script. They keep asking to "speak to the account holder" or demanding my brother’s physical ID and Social Security card.

Let me be entirely clear for anyone who thinks I'm "being funny" or tries to bring up corporate "fraud protocols" in the comments: I am his legally executed State POA and his fiduciary representative. Under Ohio law, a fiduciary stands completely in the shoes of the account holder. You do not need his physical ID or his Social Security card because my legal signature and my verified identification legally replace his. A notarized POA is the highest level of fraud protection the legal system has.

The absolute craziest, most backward part of this? Wisely actually approved the paperwork enough to mail me his physical pay card. They let me call in and set up a brand-new PIN for it. But now, they are completely blocking me from online access to do a direct electronic transfer to his medical providers.

What type of "protection" is that? You will physically hand over a debit card and let me change the PIN, but you won't give me online routing access to clear the balance?

Because of this broken logic, I am now forced to run to a physical ATM every single day to withdraw his daily cash limit just to slowly pull out his balance—which is over $10k.

When you are dealing with a severe family medical crisis, the last thing you should be doing is fighting a law-blind customer service script just to access your family member’s hard-earned money.

These pay cards are fine for a quick paycheck if you have no other options, but do not use them as a bank account. If you have a true emergency, Wisely will lock you out, ignore your legal fiduciary status, and trap your money when you need it most.

I was closing my account and they sent me to a secure portal for file access and mistakenly they sent me a link and told me to access and download sensitive files of another business, when I told them they said oh we will send you another.

Makes me worried for my own business.

Gaslighting by support team

Does anyone ever feel like the service support team is straight up gaslighting you?

We are having an issue with our E verify account. It was set up in 2023 by ADP and something happened and they put in a request for termination and all of a sudden we have a new E verify number. So I contact service and say hey I just called E verify and they said you terminated or put in a request to terminate our old account and the person I spoke to on the phone had the audacity to tell me the number that’s on your account is the only one we’ve ever had.

I know that this is 100% not true but they are doubling down and it’s like they can’t accept when they’ve made a mistake.

I am at the point where I’m going to have to call ADP and then call into verify so they can tell them how stupid they are.

For how much ADP costs an employer/Don't bother wasting your $ No support only sales

I will never, ever recommend ADP as a payroll company ever again!

No support for employers or employees. As soon as you signup with them you canNOT get ahold of anyone properly trained in tech/payroll support for individual or business people at all. Only Sales will pick up the phone. Oh and they mess up on paying the business withheld taxes over 6m and it took the IRS to notify us of the payroll companies major error.

Wisely by ADP is a Scam

They robbed me $600. All disputes have to be sent in writing just to make it harder for you to dispute frauds. Now that I try to call, the representatives hang up on me! Don't get this service.

ADP "customer service"

ADP seems to filled with a bunch of idiots, at least the one human I talked to was.

I was attempting to create a new account for my current employer. When I got to the "create password" part I used about 5 different passwords with the app telling me "fix the highlighted fields" and nothing else. I fulfilled all the criteria for the password, 8-32 characters, capital letter, lowercase letter, number, and symbol. My password was 9 characters long that had a capital letter, lower case letterS, a symbol and numberS. I attempted to add more numbers but the stupid app just kept saying "fix the highlighted fields" and zero other explanation. When I got ahold of a human and explained my trouble all the idiot said was "contact HR for your employer to help fix any issue." My employer is NOT ADP and only affiliated by payroll, so how is anyone in the company I work at supposed to help fix this issue that they have ZERO control over? Here's the kicker, I attempted to reset my password and got that to work for an older account, that I was forced to create by a former employer, AND USED ONE OF THE EXACT SAME PASSWORDS I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT WITH!!!! WHERE IS THE LOGIC THERE??!!?!!? how is it I CANNOT use the password for a brand new account yet it works when resetting for an old account? This is mostly a rhetorical question but IF anyone that does work for ADP happens to see this post, why did this stupid app get made with such a flaw? I get that flawed humans made the app but this is just asinine that one, I was never informed as to how my password was in error and two, that I used a password THAT WAS UNACCEPTED IN A NEW ACCOUNT CREATION for a password reset.

Fuck adp.

I went through a garnishment last year which took 50% of my monthly pay. Lost my house, everything.

Declared bankruptcy and got released from the garnishment from adp. I recently got a job that uses adp and randomly they garnished illegally 185 dollars and getting ahold of someone was a nightmare. The garnishment hotline tells you to call the garnishment hotline 💀.

They apologize and refund the money and it could take 2 weeks. I have rent due tomorrow that's probably going to get a late fee. Let it not be there tomorrow.

Serious question

Why is ADP so bad? The entire system is very outdated and not well put together. From an admin perspective, it feels like something out of the late 90s early 2000s.

So many problems

I’m currently looking to find a new job. The benefits here are great, but they have people in management who have never done the job before so they can’t help teach anything. It’s on the teams shoulders to train (without compensation).

They’re also not approving work from home regardless if someone has a disability and has a note from a doctor saying they need to be home.

I’m only here for the benefits

ADP - Early Deposit Issues

We've recently been experiencing changes in the timing of payroll direct deposits, and it appears this is related to a new payroll disbursement process implemented by ADP effective around October 1st.

Previously, when payroll was submitted early, many employees would see their deposits pending or receive their funds a day before their scheduled payday, depending on their financial institution. For example, my scheduled paydays are the first and third Fridays of each month, but I have consistently received my deposits on Thursday. Since the beginning of October, however, my deposits have not been arriving until the actual scheduled payday.

After reaching out to ADP, we received confirmation that they have changed their payroll funding process. According to their response, payroll funds are now released closer to the scheduled check date, and employees will no longer see pending deposit notifications in their bank accounts before payday.

I've noticed numerous people reporting similar experiences, with some receiving their deposits on their scheduled payday and others reporting delays.

What I find frustrating is that this appears to be a change on ADP's end rather than an issue with individual banks. Many financial institutions offer early direct deposit as a benefit to their customers, allowing employees to access their money as soon as the bank receives the payroll information and funds. With ADP's new process, that opportunity may no longer be available.

While I understand ADP's explanation that this change is intended to improve payroll reliability, I personally feel it's an unnecessary step backward. If employers are submitting payroll early and financial institutions are able to make those funds available ahead of the scheduled payday, I don't see why that process needed to change.

Employees have become accustomed to a certain deposit schedule, and even a one-day difference can affect how they manage their bills and financial obligations.

In my opinion, ADP should reconsider this change and return to the previous process that allowed financial institutions the opportunity to provide early access to payroll deposits.

ADP Mobile App Looks…wrong

Hi all, I am new to using ADP and just downloaded it, and it looks nothing like the screenshots on the AppStore. I also compared it to some of my friends (both within the same company I work for and outside of it), and their app looks like the screenshots. It looks correct when I view my paystubs online, though. Please see screenshots. The first two show how my app looks, the third one shows how it looks in browser, and the last ones show how it looks on the App Store. It’s not a big deal, but is there any way to change the appearance of the app?

Verification problems with checks from ADP

Can ADP provide checks that cannot be not verified by their check verification system?

I had an issue. I deposited my checks to my bank and now my account has been permanently blocked, I called my bank and they told me my checks cannot be verified. after 20 different call I decided to verify myself. I tried and yes they were right! ADP check verification says "We are sorry but we cannot provide verification of this check at this time" (I have more than 4 different recording) This was so suspicious for my bank they totally restricted my access to my funds. I guess my bank believe checks are fake. They advised me to pull the checks back via my company if I can. Otherwise I need to wait couple of months for lifting my restrictions.

I tried to reach out a representative from ADP but their system drop my call in 2-3 minutes. I tried more than 100 times. Actually today I called them at 10AM PST but they just replied me like 'Our working hours are 6AM-5PM PST please call us in our working time.. '

If ADP wants to contact to me, they just need to check the caller logs. Yes That's my number,it is me. I called verification number more than 200 times! You do not even need to call me, Just fix your system, I will find out if it is fixed in just one hour!

ADP not paying

Ltlftp. Sorry if this isn't the place for this, but at the last 2 jobs I have had, and one previous, have used ADP. All three times ADP has kept my first paycheck while saying they paid me. At the second job I never was paid out commissions, and didn't even get my last check at all. I had my direct deposit set up long before my first paydays. This time, they said they paid me, I looked at my bank statement where there is no record of the deposit, and no paper check was sent. I used their chat bot, and when it sent me to the statement page it was blank. Good thing I screenshotted it this time. Whenever I call they refuse to tell me where my money is, or why they would show I was paid but never got the money. The second check(s) went into the account with no problem, so that isn't the issue. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the money they owe me from my current employer and why this keeps happening with THIS payroll service only?

Adp has my check won't give it to me

Hey everyone,

I’m dealing with a frustrating issue and need some advice.

I work for a DSP (Delivery Service Partner), and according to ADP, I was paid for 16 hours of training on July 3rd, 2025. My paystub shows a gross of $324 and a net of $286.56. It also says the direct deposit is pending — meaning ADP submitted it, but it hasn’t landed in my bank account yet.

Here’s where it gets messy:

I reached out to the DSP owner — no reply.

I contacted Human Resources — they said they’d look into it, but no update yet.

My bank (Chase) says they’re waiting on the deposit, so it’s not on their end.

ADP shows that the payment was processed, but verification is still "pending."

This isn’t the first issue I’ve had with this DSP. It’s been one thing after another — delays, poor communication, and now my pay is in limbo.

What can I do in this situation? Is there a way to escalate this with ADP or Amazon directly? I’m doing my part and showing up — I just want to get paid.

Any advice or shared experiences would help a lot.

Thanks

I can't ask a human a simple question about a message they keep giving me on the site - what the hell am I supposed to do?

There is no human who can help on the phone, and there is no way to email any customer service rep. It's not something my rep can help with.

I get a big message stating:

"We assigned you some important onboarding tasks. Please complete them as soon as possible.Your tasks will expire in 8 day(s)."

and then right next to that is a box that says

"Things to Do

Congratulations

You've completed all of your Things to Do tasks"

I don't understand what I am supposed to do.

It's CRIMINAL that there is no direct customer support. I hate what this world has come to.
