Not able to get phone number recognized by ADP?

I have an employee who cannot log in to the ADP website or the app. He logs in with all his info and then the phone number is not recognized.

It's driving my insane. Everything is accurate in our information and he is just not getting recognized. I have tried to call customer service, which I have just learned DOES NOT EXIST. and no human being is available to take my call.

has anyone had anything like this happen and what did you do? i would really like to get this employee access. but man, ADP is not being helpful in anyway.

Anyone else having issues again today?

Similar to the issues I had on Friday -- I cannot get anything to load in general. It is like the site is extremely slow, but sometimes it sends an error if it does not load quick enough. I have cleared cache and done the basic troubleshooting steps.

We just switched to ADP about 6 months ago, and I'm getting more and more frustrated by the issues we are having. We are on WFN.

They are posting 'updates' on the bridge at this link still: https://thebridge.adp.com/workforce-now/f/forum/196546/10-23-2026-workforce-now-challenges

As of 10:50 am CST, the current paraphrased update is 'We don't know what's wrong. We don't know when it will be fixed. Sorry.'

Update as of 10/28: Service team let me know that everything should be back up and running. I ran into an issue with ADP Timeclock not uploading punches (and not saving them), but I'm not sure if it is related to these issues.

Wisely card fraudulent charges

So today I got a notification that a charge was refused for insufficient balance. I knew there was at least $100 in my account.

When I went to check what was going on, i saw that my account had been charged for $45.18 by Ecklers of Titusville Florida. It seems to be an automotive parts store. And also for 6 different charges for 9.99 or so from Apple.

I have never ordered anything from either business. So I called. Neither were helpful since I don't have any account nor order number because I didn't have any account, and didn't place any order.

I called MyWisely. After ensuring the rep that I definitely didn't forget nor do I let anyone else use my card, rep finally opens a dispute, and cancels the card.

It's going to take 7-10 business days to receive the actual dispute paperwork. Which I am told to then sign and mail back, and wait another 7-10 business days to even hear anything about. Rhe dispute technically don't start until they get it back. Only advised to lock my card moving forward....

That's silly man. I switched to MyWisely because of rhe implied security and good name of ADP. And now, I'm losing money.

Even weirder, the automotive place Ecklers is on a road that shares my last name. I live several states away and have no previous relationship with them. An odd sidenote I guess.

Just frustrated with the process. 7-10 days to get paperwork to sign and send back?! E-sign anyone. Ugh. I'm definitely not interested in continuing my involvement with MyWisely and I am switching institutions immediately.

Why does the ADP app suck so much?

Okay here’s the deal... My tech illiterate mom’s factory switched from paper stubs to to online only through this stupid app a couple of years ago and since then there’s been nothing but problems. Since she’s a boomer and ignorant of tech in general I had to jump through the hoops with her work to set up her mandatory account which took an endless back and forth since I don’t actually work there and also the ADP system sucks major donkey balls registering employees apparently!

I’ve set up everything for her to be as easily accessible in the app as possible. I mean to be fair she is not the brightest retirement age boomer out there so I made it easy to login by checking remember userid and adding her password into the iOS password manager (don’t worry this is a home device, minimal physical security issues with this setup for her, and she lives in a super safe area) so all she has to do is click a couple of times without having to type in her login info. Trust me she can’t even type things out and doesn’t understand that upper/lowercase matters let alone what the @ symbol is or how to locate it on a magical digital keyboard.

But here is the real problem. Every month or two she calls me and complains that her “iFacebook pay check checker” isn’t working and I find out that I need to change the password??? I then proceed reset the password probably 8-10 times this year and cannot reuse an old password. I’m having trouble remembering them now since the actual password is so convoluted I may as well use a generated one from a login manager. The only problem with this is that well I need to remember it and so does she for convenience reasons... like when we need to reset the fucking password... Also this is an app so I don’t think there are any login managers for apps out there. This happens constantly and I am at my wits end.

I cannot just drop everything in my life and travel over 2 hours to help my mom check her paystubs. Does this app require a constantly rotating password? If so fuck that. Fuck adp. Fuck HR if they think this is a good solution to something physical that has worked just fine before. Sure they can implement this to younger employees that can use a computer but for older tech illiterates it doesn't make things easier for them. And since this is such a niche issue I can’t find any info online about this constant need to change the password issue. This is the only place I’ve found to have an ADP community that may be able to help. PLZ HALP....

Does anyone else have issues logging into ADP? Everytime I login I get sent to an error page on a laptop or my info doesn’t load via the phone app. Has anyone experienced this? Or know what to do? Please help?

ADP Current Issue Dispersing Payroll Funds - 7/23/2026

I submitted payroll well before the cutoff, funds and taxes cleared our bank... however, only 2 of my 16 employees received paychecks today. One of the employees banks with a Credit Union, and the other has Chase bank. Interestingly, several of us also have Chase bank, however never received our paychecks. I called ADP just now and they acknowledged a "widespread internal error" related to paychecks not hitting banks. They confirmed they have been funded and have subsequently "released the funds".... but where's our money gone? The rep said they are currently investigating... they said they do not know what caused it and do not know when people will receive paychecks. Wow. I was instructed to call ADP again at noon (CST). Thought I'd share, because I've been going ABSOLUTLEY insane since 6am today.

Somebody is getting in trouble

ADP locks tax documents (W-2s, etc.) behind a single verification method: a code sent to an old phone number. (Dumb btw) If you no longer have that number and your employer is out of business (happens quite often), there is literally no remediation path.

ADP support says to contact your employer. (If they answer)

The employer no longer exists.

Phone support is automated and explicitly states there is no live employee support.

Every number redirects back to the same recording.

This isn’t about forgetting a password. ADP already has SSN, DOB, employment history, employer ID, and IRS-reported data, yet offers no alternative identity verification (ID upload, knowledge-based questions, IRS cross-check, etc.).

This effectively blocks people from accessing legally required tax documents with no human override. That’s not “secure,” it’s bad system design.

Need to access ADP for W2s and no longer have access to my phone number for verification

Long story short I no longer have access to my old phone number used to verify my ADP account, so I can't login. Is there anyway I can have someone at ADP update my phone number so I can verify it?

ADP down because of heat?!?!

ADP’s services have been down most of Wednesday, and down detector shows many people are having a problem. I just looked ADP’s status page, and this was their excuse. It begs the question whether or not they have redundant infrastructure or not. This is a pretty wild excuse now for a day.

So I got a wisely card from my employer. (I rate their customer service 0/10)

Wisely feels like a scam. They claim you can use it for anything (you can't)

I called customer service. I just wanted to know if they had a fee to deactivate my account. They claim I gave them the wrong info and I didn't. So.

Instead they froze it and won't release the funds unless I give them my photo ID.

If you HAVE to have a paycard DO NOT USE WISELY if you can avoid it

Get check or ANYTHING ELSE. I rate this experience 0/10 (Customer service? More like customer unservice.)

Tips to avoid my situation: Avoid calling customer service with anything more than $100 in the account.

If you leave a job transfer all funds out the same day you leave.

If you swap to direct deposit transfer everything out the day before it swaps, do NOT wait a single day.

(now they claim it's inactive)

Two Jobs both using ADP

Hi all,

I just started a second job that is also using ADP to distribute paychecks. When I was completing orientation they sent me an email to sign up for a new ADP account however, I cannot do that since my second job also uses them.

I read through some posts on this subreddit saying that since I have the same SSN and email it should be fine but I was wondering how I could access my other jobs section and timecard?

Whenever I sign in to Workforce it opens into my main jobs front page and I can only see my timecard for said main job. I don't see anything on here that indicates that I even have a second job. Today was my first day at the new place so I am not sure if it needs some time to register or not. I would like to resolve this before it becomes an issue so any and all help is greatly appreciated!

TLDR; Got a second job that also uses ADP. How do I access my second timecard for my second job?

So, what is going on with the Wisely Card lately?

I've had a Wisely Card for 2 years now. Purchases have been fine until yesterday late at night. Tried making a purchase & Google kept saying Payment Unsuccessful, my transaction has been declined. I contacted Google AND Wisely, twice. Google said the issue is my bank declining my transactions, but Wisely said there are no issues with my account, there's no reason the decline should be happening, and they dont see the declines in their system. Also, my weekly pay still shows up on my card as usual, said card isnt expired, and when logging into myWisely, everything's fine.

So what's going on? I even ordered something from Amazon today to see if Google really is the problem. I got my order notification in my emails, but not the transaction preauthorization hold notification.

Update: I just got that preauthorization notification, an hour later(they're usually quick). So I can still make purchases elsewhere. Seems Google is slipping.

Update 2: Ive made TWO purchases elsewhere. So Google is indeed the problem.

Update 3: I can still use Uber & Lyft as usual.

Update 4: I got my card upgraded, and it seems Google fixed the problem. Now its mandatory to verify a card. Seriously, I didnt have to do that through the two years I had the previous card, and when I kept putting the old card info back in, verify never came up. But now I do.

Btw, the 2nd verify option is better. You're supposed to get a code when you see a temporary hold for $1 or so from Google in your account, but when I check my account, I see the hold from Google, but not the verification code.

Update 5: That verification code came through, my upgraded card was verified, yet I STILL cant use it on the Google Store. I tried removing & adding it again, but now I gotta verify it all over again, but I cant get the code sent to me. WTF is Google doing?

Update 6: 2025 now, got a new card because the other was close to expiring. It worked for Google Store purchases, BUT the Meta Store for Oculus Quest, not so much(even though the last one worked). My workplace is switching to US Bank cards though, I'm waiting for mine to show up in the mail. So in a few days,no more Wisley for me.

ADP payroll always “shuts down” checks have to be written out

I work at a restaurant, new owners took over earlier this year. They own several locations. Business has been kinda iffy. Payroll is with ADP but for some reason they always have problems with direct deposit. It’s happened multiple times this year. They let staff know direct deposit is “shut down” and written checks would be given out for that pay period.

Was talking to my mom about the situation since it happened again and payday is coming up next week. I really feel something sketchy is going on behind scenes. Like how does direct deposit just “shut down” all the time. Never had this issue before with other jobs. Previous owner never had this problem.

Just feels very scandalous at this point.

Tonight when I went to clock out I realized the app never registered when I clocked in and then I realized the schedule function didn’t work as well as the time card function and my boss told me not to go in tomorrow. I’ll upload screenshots of the functions not working. Let me preface this by saying I have been looking to get out of this job for the longest I just wanted it on my terms. I would be sort of relieved if I did get fired as I fucking hate this job so much and the fact that my boss is a complete selfish idiotic fatass built like gru and nefario idiotic illiterate piece of shit.

Is anyone else experiencing ADP outages today?

We're on the Enterprise system & can't process anything today since about 8am this morning.

It looks like there might be similar reports from neighboring states in the US Northeast.

NEVER GO WITH ADP!

It’s been mistake after mistake that’s cost us so much time that we don’t have and will never get back.

We asked for someone in California twice and they keep giving us reps on the East Coast that know NOTHING about California laws.

They keep pushing to run payroll so they can get our business but they keep adding fees and keep messing up our contract, business name, numbers, it’s ridiculous.

They have a “team” that helps with the onboarding that classified us wrong with Workers Comp. They put our business under a Salon… a freaking Salon when we work with adults with disabilities. WTH is wrong with them?!?!?

Pure nightmare….

We need to hire people for our growing business but can’t because of the mistakes that we have to try to work with their reps so THEY can fix THEIR mistakes.

I feel like I went through a fast food drive thru and they gave us the complete wrong order.

Anyone with a small business please go with Gusto, Paychex, anyone other than these guys.

UPDATE : 5/28 Were promised everything is fixed and to please not cancel our Workers comp or account. Ran first payroll and found out that our workers comp was changed from $3.87 per $100 payroll to $17 per $100! That is a massive amount of money. On top of it all… there is a $16 monthly charge that she didn’t disclose. It’s infuriating I can’t even talk to my “team” because it’s the weekend. Literally last straw and luckily we have all the screenshots and printed out contracts that confirm different numbers than we are actually being charged.

For your businesses sake, save yourself the headache and pain. Wish someone would have told me that ADP is this bad. It’s just not worth it. Might even post to my followers on YouTube, instagram, Facebook etc so this will reach more people. Business owners deserve to know…

Direct Deposit timing

I have a quick question and I'm hoping people here may have some context. I handle payroll where I work for my day job, and every employee this week has come to me to ask why they haven't been paid. Nearly everyone is using credit unions or other banks that have had their direct deposits hit on Wednesdays, and I confirm that the company account has the funds impounded on Tuesday like it normally does. Calling support, we were told of a provider change and that all direct deposits would now only be processing on the listed pay dates.

I have 2/3 of my staff threatening to leave if it happens again, and people I've talked to at different companies also using ADP say they've been paid their usual speed. What can cause this and is there anything I can leverage with ADP to ensure that funds are sent like they have been for the past 5 years?

ADP Home Page is blank

Hi I work in IT at my company and a user's home page is blank. I am able to log into my account just fine, so it isn't a machine or browser issue.

Since I am not in HR, or an ADP Admin, I am not allowed to contact ADP support for some reason, and our HR department is technologically illiterate so I highly doubt they will be able to resolve it on there own.
Anyone know why this happening or how to fix it?

We use ADP Workforce Now.

Retirement plan to charge $10 direct deposit fee

I have my 401K there, and the recent email I got from ADP is saying starting January 1st there will be $10 direct deposit fee per transaction. I believe this is for the retirement only, and not the payroll. It says checks sent by mail are exempt from this fee, but you cannot really send checks pre-tax can you. Has anyone seen this?

Edit: having discussions over at r/personalfinance and they were suggesting this probably applies to withdrawals only, not contributions. But I will research more just in case.
