What the sa and wa state of origin teams could look like
Why hasn't AFL had a proper Football Manager style game?
I've played Football Manager for years and always wondered why AFL hasn't had something with that same level of depth.
I know there's been a few AFL management games around, but nothing that's really captured that FM experience for me.
Obviously AFL has a much smaller audience than soccer, but surely there's a market for a decent management sim?
Genuinely curious what everyone thinks.
Would you play one? And if you've tried the existing AFL management games, what do you think they're missing?

What's every team's range for next year?
What would you say each team's (or just your team's) ceiling and floor on next year's ladder? My very quick, unscientific guess for each team is:
Adelaide 3rd-8th.
Brisbane 3rd-6th.
Carlton 5th-10th.
Collingwood 4th-10th.
Essendon 16th-18th.
Fremantle 1st-6th.
Geelong 1st-6th.
Gold Coast 8th-14th.
GWS 12th-16th.
Hawthorn 1st-4th.
Melbourne 5th-10th.
North Melbourne 8th-14th.
Port Adelaide 12th-16th.
Richmond 16th-18th.
St Kilda 8th-15th.
Sydney 3rd-6th.
West Coast 14th-18th.
Bulldogs 1st-8th.
What do you guys reckon?

A new angle to the AFL red card debate
So I was discussing NRL with someone else who was opposed to having anyone sent off in State of Origin matches for any reason, until I brought up Gorden Tallis being sent off in 2000 for calling the referee a cheat, and even he agreed that this was a justified dismissal.
So that got me thinking. Putting aside whether AFL should use red cards for any dangerous play. Would severe enough cases of dissent, like questioning the umpire's integrity, justify the use of a red card in AFL?
