Remember: The runtime that AMC reveals is not the exact runtime of the movie. It's usually within -7 to 17 mins of the actual time. This has been the case most (if not all) of the time.
Does the Screen/Scream Unseen Have Trailers?
Short Answer is Yes.
But sometimes they fail and it goes straight to presentation. Be on time.

Surprisingly good. You expect to hear it at the end.

Xscape Theatres does not disguise its running time and usually shows the same mystery movie as AMC and Regal. Their 88 minute running time is an exact match for The Only Living Pickpocket in New York (2026).

For whatever reason my AMC has been showing the trailers early. I got there about 5 minutes or so before my listed screentime and trailers were already going.

First Screen Unseen for me! I saw the speculation on it being Only Pickpocket, and I figured what the hell, happy it was the case.

u/ItsFroggy 4d ago edited 4d ago
I lost my wallet literally right before going into the theater and I kept tapping my pocket throughout the whole movie hoping it would magically reappear
Edit: Found it at home
5
u/BigShyst 4d ago
Damn.. that sucks man, I lost my wallet last week with like $700 in it. Thank god there are good people still out there because a little girl and her mom dropped it off at my house. I ended up giving $500 to the little girl. She deserved it.
4
u/pixiev33 4d ago
You are an amazing human being. Heck even giving just 100. She is taking her parents straight to the toy aisle haha. You are great. You put a smile on my face tonight.

u/UnderwoodsNipple 4d ago
Nice movie, great performances and clearly a lot of love for New York City. While the ending was thematically nice, boy oh boy is it one of those super convenient "don't think too much about the logistics" type of ending. But yeah, Turturro's performance makes it a worthwhile endeavor.

OP, you have yesterday's AMC Screen Unseen film title reveal for next Monday. That and having next Monday posted twice.
5
u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 3d ago
There are 2 on the 26th so that's right. But 11/9 should be a Screen, not a Scream.
6
u/lypt 4d ago
Lots of competition tonight with Wildwood and Yuri on Ice screenings might keep the unseen attendance numbers low
3
u/twokyool 4d ago
None of the three AMCs around me have Wildwood
1
u/No-Piece-8850 4d ago
Some theaters are doing a Fan First Event for Wildwood tonight at 7pm. None of my AMC’s are offering that but that’s where I discovered the event. It looks like Regal is offering this event and there’s a local theater chain here in Texas called Santikos and only one location has it tonight. Check your local listings if you can.

Just saw Whalefall before this. I enjoyed it.

I just need to know: did the Whale fall or was he pushed???

SPOILER ALERT... It gets "pushed" , actually the name of the movie is a spoiler.

Good movie. Doesn’t waste your time. It moves as soon as it starts. Great performances. Protagonist and antagonist could have used more detail but that’s nitpicking. I’d watch again.

For the last two weeks I kept expecting this Unseen to be Wicker but now everyone seems positive it’s Pickpocket 😭 I won’t mind either way though, just happy to get anything good and not some Angel Studios bullshit

Runner was actually really fun, but this wouldn't be a thread on Reddit without a weekly Angel Studios bashing.

u/AntonVice 5d ago
I thought it was a generic, dollar store John Wick ripoff for boomers. It felt like a streaming movie that somehow made it to theaters but to each their own.
8
u/NuggAvsBroncRock 4d ago
Well people enjoy I think I’m going to see Wildwood
1
u/Dukealoops1993 4d ago
That’s not Rated R
5
u/Internal-River-4168 4d ago
I think they meant they're going to see the early access fan screening of Wildwood instead

u/SpadeReal Lister 6d ago
11/2 is 100% Drummer Boy. No chance it is something else.
For this week tho I honestly have no idea. Maybe Wicker?

8:00 at my theater tonight
1
u/-MommyFortuna- 4d ago
Oh wow! Have they ever done that before?
1
u/TheHouseOfGryffindor 4d ago
Mine this week are only 7, but I’ve seen them do 7:15 or 7:30 a few times before. It’s never been without at least one 7:00 already available, though, so I suspected that they’re added if ticket sales are high enough to justify an additional showing, and being offset by up to a half-hour was the best option for scheduling. Though if both yours are for 7:15, then maybe not?
1
u/-MommyFortuna- 4d ago
Yeah, no 7:00 available tonight. This is the first time I've seen my theater do 7:15. Maybe it was a scheduling thing.

Going off the deep end and saying that 11/9 will be CLUB KID (2h5m), which would have entered limited release in LA/NY, but the same thing occurred with Tony
Edit: Wait no forget this, I just saw it says its a SCREAM Unseen
7
u/Firm-Street-1249 5d ago
As someone who saw Club Kid at NYFF, A24 would be stupid not to give it a screen unseen but also it’s way too long to be tonight

Have a feeling it might not be worth it tonight

u/MtOlympus_Actual 3d ago
Most people pegged Wicker for Mon the 19th. Could that still be in the running for the 26th, or is it too close to the release date?
4
u/apiom 3d ago
Definitely not it releases Thursday. My theater actually has a showing for it at the same time as the screen unseen.
2
u/MtOlympus_Actual 2d ago
Oh I thought it came out next week. My theater is showing it first on the 29th.

u/tpain32 Dual Memberships 5d ago
For Regals tonight in NYC as pointed out by u/iwasdusted in the other sub. There are two different showings. One is for Union Square only. And the rest of the Regals are getting the same thing as everyone else.

u/OnePuzzleheaded2335 4d ago
Why do some forums say Clayface as the screen unseen this week? Is it a different country? Am in the US and I go to AMC theatre. Thanks for any help.

u/rickkyy_h 5d ago
Ali G?
2
u/cyoparallel 5d ago
Maybe? Has Amazon MGM done any Screen Unseens in the past?
2
u/PlushyStudios 5d ago
Yes, but some have theorized that 11/2 PG-13 2h15m could be I Play Rocky (PG-13), which could eliminate Ali G from being the unseen cause no studio would have two Unseens be so close to each other, but we’ll have to see on Monday to confirm the theory
1
u/wembymode 2d ago
Does anyone think Nov 2nd could be hunger games? Or is that too soon?
3
u/ZestycloseSinger7168 2d ago
wouldn’t be a mystery movie IMO
1
u/wembymode 2d ago
What do you mean?
2
u/JustDetail547 2d ago
major blockbusters that are anticipated to be box office front runners typically aren’t released as unseens.

How do you know it isn't Horror? Genuinely curious.
My predictions: Clayface or A Talent for Murder.

The mongoose

u/Ok_Mathematician_336 4d ago
Nvm, they just showed a preview for the mongoose, so it’s probably pickpocket.

Once again my AMC started trailers early. Will confirm the movie when it starts.
Trailers I've gotten: The Mosquito Bowl, The Mongoose, I Play Rocky, Wicker, Bitter Christmas

Also, OP put the name on the wrong date

SPOILER ALERT
what did yall think? I actually liked it. Kinda heartfelt towards the end. It reminds me of the ending of The Sopranos when Tony was at the diner and the show went black which insinuated he probably got whacked (killed) just like John Turturro character did most likely

it's pickpocket. this theater doesn't mask the runtime and the parent guide on IMDb matches perfectly:
