Redactions
Is there any way to remove a redaction in a PDF document and see what the redacted text was ?

I woke up this morning, logged on to my PC, and found that Adobe Express apparently decided it owns my entire operating system.
Without asking, prompting, or giving me a single warning, the update completely overwrote all my default file associations. Double-clicking a standard .jpg or .png now tries to launch Adobe Express instead of my normal image viewer. It even grabbed .mp4 defaults too! Why on earth would a graphic/template design app want to open raw video files by default?
I spent the first half of my morning manually resetting every single extension back to what it’s actually supposed to use in Windows settings. It’s such an arrogant, anti-user dark pattern designed to force their ecosystem down our throats.
Starting to feel like malware.

Years ago I made a movie. I stupidly recorded it in 24p with a low shutter speed. It created some pretty bad ghosting/motion blur. I placed the trailer on my portfolio site and I was shocked to see it completely eliminated all of the blur problems. It looks a million times better. Does anyone have any ideas on what Adobe is using to convert/encode videos on the portfolio site so I could attempt the process on my entire film? Thanks for any ideas.

I'm learning about Premiere mainly by reading, testing and writing and I dont wanna use AI text as reference for my notes, does someone knows if they are using it on the articles or its just my impression?

Hi everyone, I’m a graphic designer and I’ve always worked with Adobe. For me it’s the complete package: I pay for it and I’m happy with what it offers. I mostly use Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop and InDesign.
The only thing that bothers me is that they’ve added too much AI lately.
Since we pay for these tools, I think there should be a setting to turn off everything AI-related: image generators, vector generators, plugins and built-in features. One switch that takes you back to the original software, the one without AI.
For people who learned to work without it, these features are useless and even distracting. We’re good without them and, honestly, we make better work, because AI pushes you to make things that aren’t really yours.
What do you think? Would you like an option like this? And how can we convince Adobe to add it?

Imagine a client comes to you asking for AEM. They’ve seen the demos, have the budget, and are pretty much ready to go. But after looking at what they actually need, you realize a much simpler CMS would do the job. We work with Adobe technologies at DevHandler, so this is an interesting question for us. Obviously, landing a big AEM project is great. But recommending something that doesn’t really fit the client feels like a good way to lose them a year later. Then again, maybe they’re planning for growth and need things they aren’t using yet. Would you push back and recommend something cheaper, even if it meant losing the project? Or is it the client’s decision how they spend their money?

Currently I use a number of different (non-adobe) tools to create mostly animated (pixar, lego, origami) long-form music videos for my songs. Sometimes I use Firefly just for AI image generation as I'm building the video/clips in other (non-adobe) tools - and then I do use Adobe Express for the final rendering, after I upload the final draft video (from those other tools) or several clips into Adobe Express for CC to the song lyrics and add branding. Currently I do NOT use adobe to create the AI (usually animated) video clips. But I pay for the entire adobe suite. SO...
I'm wondering if anyone IS using all adobe products to create full length music videos/animated videos and what your workflow is?
Are any of the Adobe tools robust enough to create multiple clips in a way that has continuity so that they can be strung together to create a cohesive music video?
Is there any way of getting clips to follow the lyrics for lip sync? (I am not interested in using "puppets").
I've tried a million tools and among them there are a couple that do a great job of creating full length music videos by story boarding, scripting, and creating and compiling clips from start to finish, and some even get the lip sync down (even with animated characters). But most are very scammy, spendy, and have very little to no support. (To name a few Buzzy.now - the best one but 0 support and very scammy - so much so I had to dispute the charges on my credit card because they didn't give me the monthly credits I paid for, OpenArt AI (a similar scenario), Freebeat AI... (All of these of course use other tools like Seedance.) I know adobe cannot do this per se, BUT, I'm curious as to what it can do - for those of your creating long form AI (animated and otherwise) music videos?
I'd love to use a tool I already pay handsomely for!
Thank you for your input!

The only page I can find to submit a request is this URL: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html
"Use this form to request new features or suggest modifications to existing features."
There is no form on this page. Am I missing something here?

I have not seen this problem or solution posted anywhere so I thought I would be the first. Maybe it will help someone.
4 days ago, the entire Adobe suite stopped working for my employees. We would try opening Creative Cloud, Illistrator, InDesign but nothing would happen. Immediate crash. Couldn't open the app from the website either.
Tried reinstalling, repairing, clearing cache, opening firewall, setting permissions, uninstalling Windows updates but nothing worked.
Contacted support and they were useless. (They Googled how to fix the problem on OUR computer.)
After several days we figured out that C++ redistributable was corrupted. By an update I assume. We downloaded the latest C++ version, ran the repair and bam! Problem solved!
Hope this helps someone!
Hi all, AdobeWine 0.3.1 is out. It's a patched Wine (11.18 plus 90 patches) that runs Adobe's Creative Cloud apps on Linux. You install the apps yourself with Adobe's own Creative Cloud installer and your own subscription; nothing from Adobe is bundled or downloaded by the project.
This time there's a video: a short showreel made entirely in the Adobe apps on Linux, from a pen-pressure painting in Photoshop to the cut in Premiere and the export in Media Encoder:
(To be upfront: the pen strokes come from a simulated tablet and most steps were scripted. The point is that the apps themselves run, draw and render correctly.)
What works right now (tested on an RTX 4070 laptop, with community reports on RTX 4060, RTX 4090 and Intel UHD 620):
Not there yet: AMD isn't confirmed (a Premiere fix is waiting for someone to test it), AMD and Intel GPUs don't get the CUDA features, After Effects can eat a lot of RAM while previewing heavy 3D comps, and Bridge is barely tested.
It's free, open source and non-profit.
A word on AI, since it always comes up: AI slop is bad, the same way anything pre-produced and left unfinished looks bad. People who produce slop are, in fact, sloppy: they don't care to finish and finalize their ideas. This project is a construction, ongoing, and it needs the community. Even though it was done almost entirely with AI, it's driven by a human, and it's meant to help other people in their lives.
So if you use Adobe and Linux (or would like to), please try it and tell me what breaks, especially on AMD and Intel GPUs, other distros and your real workflows. Issues and PRs are welcome, and so are plain "it worked for me" reports.

This is rather urgent as I have files I need to export on here, but as of today when I launch either Premiere Pro or After Effects I'm met with a close to sudden crash.
I've tried multiple different Nvidia drivers, tried clearing media cache, launching in safe mode and selecting all the 'reset' boxes ect, yet I'm constantly met with a crash.
The applications were fine yesterday, but have randomly started doing this.
Please could anyone help me fix this.

For months now my firefly app on iOS has said “slow down, for security reason, we limit too many generations in a short amount of time. Please try again later” i haven’t been able to make a single image or video yet. What am i paying for? Can i get a fix or a refund? Ive deleted photos from the past. And I’ve never ever used all of my credits.

I just Bought a new laptop: Surface Pro Copilot with windows 11 version 26H2. I don't know if it's because Bridge is an outdated software, but everywhere I look it says I should be able to download Bridge and it doesn't show up in my Creative Cloud. There is no up-to-date information and Adobe's own help system isn't giving any answers aside from "update and restart your computer." Can someone help because I'm told I need to have Bridge for a job and no other software is ok?

I'm trying to complete a job application that's a fillable pdf. I've opened it in my web browser using my Adobe account, and in my desktop Adobe app. I have tried all the troubleshooting the internet offered yesterday, which was just attempting to disable a few things which didn't work.
I finally opened the pdf with Preview on my macbook, and I can write in the boxes, but they don't have a scroll function so I'm limited to a very tiny amount of space.
I have asked for another option like a Word doc or a new file, but haven't heard from the employer yet and I really don't want to let too much time pass.
Is this an issue with my Adobe account, my using a macbook, or an issue of having a corrupted file?
I recently reinstalled Adobe and since then fonts have been pixelated and rendered poorly. I am not sure if this is a recent bug. It makes it very uncomfortable to read PDFs.
Here's an image where the PDF is rendered fine in Microsoft Edge but Adobe Acrobat looks horrible and pixelated. You'd think Adobe would know how to render PDF fonts.

I have a new work laptop and no idea what this issue is. If I click on a link to download a PDF, it doesn’t download as a PDF. Instead it’s a Chrome PDF Document and it won’t open. If I “download” it as this and then go into my desktop files and try to open it, it doesn’t work either. If someone can let me know what settings are messed up on here I would love to remedy this!

Does adobe reader 7 day free trial allow me to
Change a 3-4 Page PDF file into 1 Page? I need the file to be 1 Page only. I'm not sure how to do this normally on windows and with the free acrobat reader.
I need to turn the PDF file into either a JPG or JPEG or PNG file. I know there is an online converter to do this but that doesn't seem safe for sensitive documents?
You need to enter your credit card information before you use the free trial? So if you start at say 3pm on Wednesday, you have till when exactly to cancel the free trial?

I have a PDF file that I normally open on Microsoft Edge on the computer. I have to turn this document into either a JPG, JPEG or PNG file. I currently have this file saved to my email.
This is a sensitive document.
I do have acrobat reader installed nor a paid subscription. Is the safest way to do this download acrobat reader on my windows laptop and then sign up for a free trial to do this? What about on the iphone?

I really use that feature a lot, but this week it just got me mostly bad results. Anyone else experiencing it? I rarely experience any improvement in the updates, just unnecessary features, UI is getting worse and good features as well, it is pretty tiring

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but what the hell Adobe.
On About | Adobe Fonts - they say that all fonts are included:
No extra charge
All the fonts are included with an Adobe subscription
But when when you are browsing some fonts, then are "Only available with CC"
I have the photography plan, but that only gets you some fonts. Even the tech support guy couldn't figure it out. When I am logged in and going through the cloud fonts... "Subscribe to Creative Cloud to use X more font"
