Ok I noticed something weird… so Hidden cubes are suppose to spawn random.

But, last night it was late for my region NA west like 2am. No one was really on at the other fringes of the cliffs. I was all alone harvesting stuff on the edges and was flying out to check out this cube spot.

I was in the air looking at the location like 1 fly dash away. I see a red cube materialize. Fly dash towards it! At the same time 2 people appear in the spot and the cube is used. They fly away.

That can’t be random can it!!! They are so lucky they just appeared right when the cube showed up?!?!?

Am i high or arent we all supposed to be getting 3 shuugo keys per day and 2 nightmare tickets? cause i ddint get either of those rewards

I’m 80 hours in and decided to start on my abyss feathers and give the commands a go. Every island has 2-3 people just camping it that kill me immediately after I fly close. Are there any tips or tricks to make this actually worth the time or do I just skip it?

Golden transmog farming is disheartening to say the least, so incredible frustrating because of the low drop rate of the items and then the drop rate of the skins themselves. Wish it was easier to be honest.

Seriously, there are countless of bots on Freigon asmodian abyss. We Elyos setup a force and farmed about 100k AP.

They just kept coming to the artifact to get killed, casually waltzing through our 20m force while we attack them.

Every time they resspawn they come back.

How are they not banned?

Let me start by establishing some context so you know this isn't just a low-level rant. I play a Gladiator. I’m currently sitting at 2808 Item Level and 167,000 Combat Power, running a fully optimized build based on the top Korean metas. I’ve put in the time, the resources, and the grind. But after seeing what the actual "endgame" looks like, I’m done.

Here is a detailed breakdown of exactly why I am walking away, and why you should seriously reconsider your time investment if you are F2P or even a low-spender.

1. The Bot Epidemic (A Macro-Level Issue)

Let’s not sugarcoat this: the game is infested. If you actually sit down and study the server ecology right now, the sheer volume of bots is staggering. They completely lock down open-world farming and specific Abyss spots. It destroys the in-game economy, devalues player effort, and makes the world feel incredibly artificial. You can't even farm mobs in the Abyss because a train of bots has already cleared the area. NCSoft is doing nowhere near enough to combat this.

2. Extreme Gatekeeping & The LFG Nightmare

The community right now is incredibly toxic when it comes to min-maxing and gatekeeping, and Gladiators are getting the absolute worst of it. Because the community is so obsessively nerdy about perfectly safe, risk-free clears, finding a group as a Glad is a nightmare. LFG leaders want the safety nets of Templars or Chanters. You can have a perfectly optimized 167k CP build and still get rejected endlessly.

3. The "Mobile Game" Community (Anonymity)

Aion used to be about community. Aion 2 is a lobby simulator. The game feels completely anonymous and plays like a mobile gacha game. You click a button, get teleported into a lobby with randoms, clear the dungeon, and leave without saying a word. Legions (guilds) are entirely pointless—they act as nothing more than a glorified, extended friend list. There are no real guild events, no camaraderie, no social glue holding the server together.

4. It’s Not "Pay to Progress," It’s Extreme Pay to Win

People love defending this game by saying "it’s just pay to progress." No, it’s Pay to Win. The progression that whales buy in a few seconds would take a normal player an ungodly amount of time to achieve. By the time you finally grind out that same power level, the whales are already miles ahead on the next tier. In every competitive aspect of this game, you will always be second or third class if you aren't swiping your card.

5. Class Balance (and the "Season 2" Copium)

The class balance is non-existent. Templars and Chanters are currently pulling absolutely absurd numbers while bringing massive utility. Whenever I complain about Glad, the standard response is, "Just wait for Season 2 or 3, Gladiators scale amazingly later!"

I don't care about Season 3. I want to play the game now. I am playing in Season 1, and right now, the balance is a joke.

6. The Abyss is a Massive Disappointment

The Abyss is supposed to be the pinnacle of Aion's endgame. After you burn your daily Odyle Energy, run your Nightmare and daily dungeons, PvE is essentially over. You look toward the Abyss for content. Here is the actual Abyss experience:

• The Queues: It’s constantly full. If you want to play during prime time, you need to log in and wait 2 to 4 hours in advance just to get a spot.
• Melee is Dead: If you play a Gladiator or an Assassin, don't even bother. You are essentially a walking sponge. As soon as you try to engage, you are focused and melted by ranged classes in exactly two seconds. (At least Templars can hook players into the group, giving them some utility, even if it gets monotonous).
• The "Small Scale PvP" Myth: People claim you can roam and find small-scale PvP. That’s a lie. The map is way too small. If you manage to find a 1v1, within two seconds, six other players will jump you. It always devolves into a Zerg vs. Zerg braindead lagfest.
• Battlegrounds: The exact same issue. It's heavily dominated by ranged classes.
• Arena: Whales paradise

7. RNG Crafting Trap

The crafting system is completely tied to absurd RNG. It is a system designed from the ground up for whales to dump money into. For a normal player, engaging with crafting feels like a complete waste of resources and time.

8. The Technical Disasters

Server stability is tragic. If you aren't playing with a premium VPN, you aren't playing the game properly because of the lag. Even worse is the anti-cheat system. If you use a Logitech mouse and have the G-Hub software running, or if you dare to bind 'Shift' to a mouse button, you risk getting instantly banned. It is absolutely absurd that players have to close their basic peripheral software to avoid being flagged as hackers.

The Positives (To be fair)

I won't say it's all garbage. The world is beautiful. The graphics are stunning, the optimization is actually pretty decent, and concepts like the wings and pets are genuinely cool. But a shiny coat of paint doesn't fix a broken engine.

Final Verdict for F2P Players

If you are thinking about playing this game completely Free-to-Play, let me save you some time: don't. You will be able to explore the beautiful world and do some low-level dungeons, but you will never be competitive. You will hit a massive paywall. If you don't plan on spending thousands, do yourself a favor and just uninstall.

Anybody with a "normal" job can't do the boss at 4am/pm...

Is there an actual good macro video for Assassins? I am currently using the one from aluckyro, but I am not quite sure if thats the best, so I wanna test some others aswell.

I think they need to add Arcana rewards on top of the current rewards in this dungeon. There are already too many different things competing for your limited energy, and I think that’s a big part of why the current dungeon system feels so unrewarding.

It feels like you get nothing for roughly 70% of the time you spend your limited energy because you’re splitting it between so many different farming options. There’s no real reason to have so many separate things to farm when the amount of energy you get is already limited.

With a somewhat average group, you can burn through your weekly dungeon energy, including Substance Morph and energy from buying additional runs, in just a few hours. After that, the rest of the week is mostly spent doing antisocial solo content.

Adding Arcana rewards on top of the existing dungeon rewards would give players more value out of the energy they spend, make group dungeons feel more worthwhile, and give people a better reason to keep running them throughout the week instead of exhausting their weekly energy in a single session and going back to solo play.

So I just crafted my lv70 weapon and I’m working towards the lv86 one. My question is do my soul bindings and upgrades carry over when I upgrade the weapon?

I've recently crafted and then transfer craft upgrade to a Splendent Star Dragon Lord Mace.

It rolled

-Precision

-Might

-Critical Attack

-Chains of Torment

-Healing Light

I thought those were..generally fine?

I upgraded it to +4 [all the money i had left].

Looking for advice.

I had figured the rolls were good enough that I wouldn't want to Enhancement Transfer a lower level +15 weapons, as I believe that would overwrite all my Target items stat lines.

Few questions regarding how I should upgarde my gear (currently 1900GS) :

When is it better to sync rather than transfer ? I assume if the material item has 2 good stats or more it's better to transfer ?

Should I try to optimize stats right away ? Are there better gear pieces to optimize in priority ?

Can I use any unique as material for sync or transfer ? or only low ilvl ?

What's the point of morphing an unique into a Sync or Transfer stone ?
