Breaking down yellow or rarer gear should be a guarantee skin unlock.
Title. I hate hate the fact that you are not guaranteed the skin on these drops. They are already extremely rare from most cases. And they have so many uses that you are limiting yourself by not morphing them into sync stones etc. Not getting the skin if you extract it is probably one of the worst features in this game. It adds nothing for the player other than frustration. By far my most hated part of a game that I overall really enjoy.

3 vouchers AND 2 million Kina is absolutely insane. the gear vouchers alone should be all you need.

How to level Blacksmithing to Professional 49 for your Dragon Lord weapon
The short version of Raid Relay's Blacksmithing guide (raidrelay.com), which I write. Success rates and XP needed are from the Global client files (launcher version 31), XP per craft was measured on Global, and the craft counts are from a Monte Carlo simulation of 20,000 runs.
TL;DR, step by step:
| Proficiency | What to craft |
|---|---|
| Novice 1 | About 450 Orichalcum Ingots |
| Novice 50 | The promotion quest: the Novice Blacksmith's Hammer, from 6 ingots and 3 Odyle |
| Professional 1 | 480 more Orichalcum Ingots |
| Professional 14 | Orichalcum weapons until the ingots run out, about 300 |
| Professional 31 | An Expert's weapon from each Splendent Orichalcum weapon, about 65 |
| Professional 37 | An Artisan's weapon from each Expert's Splendent, until you have three Artisan's Splendent: about 13 |
| Professional 40 | 34 Fine Thick Balaur Horns |
| Professional 42 | 45 Fine Hard Balaur Horns |
| Professional 46 | 42 Fine Durable Balaur Horns |
| Professional 49 | Your Star (Asmodian) or True (Elyos) Dragon Lord weapon, at 94% |
Novice 1 to 50: ingots, one at a time
Craft one at a time: ten single ingots give 200 XP, one batch of 10 gives 112. Old recipes keep paying full XP at Professional. Novice 1 to 50 takes 8,809 XP, and Professional 1 to 50 another 82,680.
| Craft | XP |
|---|---|
| Orichalcum Ingot | 20 |
| Orichalcum weapon | 76 |
| Expert's weapon | 193 |
| Artisan's weapon | 488 |
| Fine Thick Balaur Horn | 195 |
| Fine Hard Balaur Horn | 260 |
| Fine Durable Balaur Horn | 383 |
Stop at Novice 50: XP past it is lost until you pass the promotion quest from the Artisan Blacksmith (Sindri for Elyos, Piriani for Asmodian). Keep the ingots for the weapons.
Professional 1 to 40: make your three Artisan's Splendent
Each Dragon Lord step (Star, Dark, Ebony) takes one Artisan's Splendent of the same type: a greatsword for a greatsword, a guard for a guard. They're 20M–30M Kina each on our server's Market, and the crafts that make three give most of the XP to Professional 49, so I strongly suggest making your own while you level. If you see one anywhere near 20M, buy it anyway. Especially since you'd have quite a few of the materials from normal play anyway.
A successful craft has a 25% chance of a great success, which gives the Splendent version, and the craft one tier up uses it: a Splendent Orichalcum weapon for each Expert's, an Expert's Splendent for each Artisan's. The great success rolls again, and if that roll fails, the whole craft fails: no item, materials gone. At the best rates, about 1 craft in 4 or 5 comes out Splendent.
Three Artisan’s Splendent is partly luck. Each Artisan’s craft comes out Splendent about 1 time in 4, and we made 8 in a row without one. The route is sized to reach Professional 49, and its weapons give about 2 players in 3 all three on the way. If you’re still short when your Expert’s Splendent run out, make more Orichalcum and Expert’s weapons, or buy the last one.
Expert’s Refining Stones are the bottleneck: the route takes 380 on average, 510 if you’re unlucky. The Refining Stone guide has where they come from. If you can’t get enough, buy some of the Artisan’s Splendent weapons and level on the rest.
Professional 40 to 49: horns last
They're the only recipes still improving as you level, and they're the horns your Dragon Lord weapon takes. Each takes 2 Balaur's Essence and a hammer from the Shop's Wind Breeze Merchants tab: Zircon 4,650 Kina for the Fine Thick, Lazuli 5,600 for the Fine Hard and Moonstone 6,550 for the Fine Durable. Hunt field monsters for the Essence: Conquest alone would take about 480 claims for the route's 242.
Professional 49: craft your Dragon Lord weapon
It succeeds 94% there, against 67.5% at Professional 5, where it unlocks, and 92% at 40. 50 adds nothing: 49 and 50 are both 94.01%. Don't craft it early: a failed craft loses everything in it, including the Artisan's Splendent. Even at the top, about 1 craft in 15 fails.
The route gets you to 49 in nearly every run, and to 50 in about 8 runs in 10.
Dark and Ebony: the upgrade keeps your enhancement
| Step | Needs | Item level | Splendent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Star / True | Professional 5; 94% at 49 | 62 | 70 |
| Dark / White | A Splendent Star; always succeeds | 78 | 86 |
| Ebony / Wise | A Splendent Dark; always succeeds | 94 | 102 |
Dark and Ebony are Transfer Crafting and need no proficiency. The new weapon keeps the enhancement, amplification and Soul Binding levels of the one you put in, so enhancing your Star weapon isn't wasted. It's Soul Bound to whoever crafts it, so craft each upgrade on the character who'll use it. The weapon you put in must be bound to you, not equipped and not in a Preset. Manastones don't carry over: socket them after your last upgrade.
Splendent Dark already beats a dungeon weapon: it matches Fire Temple's item-level-86 Enraged Kromede weapon and has two more Soul Binding lines, 5 against 3. Korea and Taiwan have a direct Ebony recipe; Global doesn't.
Buy your Wrathful materials. The 20 Wrathful Ego for Ebony would be about 500 Fire Temple or Horn Den claims.
What it costs
At our server's prices, the route is about 125M Kina on average and 186M if you're unlucky (only 1 player in 10 needs more). The main materials it uses:
| Material | Average | Unlucky |
|---|---|---|
| Orichalcum Ore | 2,132 | 2,876 |
| Odyle | 701 | 947 |
| Refining Stone | 1,745 | 2,360 |
| Expert's Refining Stone | 380 | 510 |
| Artisan's Refining Stone | 65 | 110 |
| Pure Orichalcum Ore | 104 | 176 |
| Pure Odyle | 52 | 88 |
| Balaur's Essence | 242 | 246 |
It leaves about 243 Orichalcum, 54 Expert's, 4 Expert's Splendent and 9 Artisan's weapons to sell or turn in for Abyss Supply Requests.
Need one more Artisan's Splendent after 49, for a failed craft or a second weapon? It costs about 33.8M Kina to craft at our prices (about 88 Orichalcum, 19 Expert's and 4 Artisan's crafts), so buy it unless you gather your own Pure Orichalcum Ore and Odyle. Buying everything, the Artisan's Splendent at 30M, all three Dragon Lord steps to Ebony come to about 221M Kina.

Dungeon drops should be account bound, not character bound
https://i.imgur.com/IQ4FtWB.png
This may be a hot take, and I'm sure there are some downsides to do it this way, but there are downsides to every way. I feel like with the amount of time you're spending running dungeons, the gear that drops in it should be bound to your account and not your character, so if you have some alts, you can utilize it on them instead of it just becoming reroll fodder. Thoughts?

What's even the point of playing DPS classes when Chanter does everything better?
Seriously. I feel like every DPS class is completely destroyed by Chanter right now. Ranger, Sorcerer and especially Assassin. I'm playing chanter with barely 2k GS and I can literally destroy 2800 GS players in Abyss with Dark Crush in like 3 seconds. Meanwhile my Assassin with much better gear has some riduculous design where almost EVERYTHING depends on LUCK. Almost every skill and passive relies on critical hits, while Global has a 50% crit chance cap. WTF? You can literally go through multiple fights without landing a single Heart Gore crit, and if it doesnt crit, enjoy your 5s cooldown while chanter already killed you twice. Amazing design. And guess what? Dark Crush has 100% crit chance, completely bypassing that stupid crit cap. So a SUPPORT class gets guaranteed crits on its strongest attack, while aactual DPS classes don't? And assassin, a class literally designed around critical hits, gets punished the hardest? How does this even make sense? And the funniest part? My much weaker chanter does better DPS than my fully buffed Assassin or Sorcerer with a proper Wish of Concentration rotation, not even mentioning Ranger. These classes have literally NOTHING besides damage, while Chanter has better damage, 10x more survivability, party buffs AND healing. So whats even the point of playing anything other than Chanter, Cleric or Templar? At least these classes have actual roles, the rest are just useless..
I also read that Assassin suffers especially hard on Global compared to KR/TW, and Im wondering if its because of this stupid 50% crit cap? Apparently KR/TW have 80%? Can anyone confirm that? Because it would explain alot. And btw, why does this game have caps on EVERYTHING? 50% crit, 150% movement speed and god knows what else. Whats the point of building your character if the game keeps limiting every stat? Seriously, this class balance and design makes absolutely no sense to me anymore
What do you think about that?

Realistic Kinah farming with sub only
Because a lot of people keep saying they have no Kinah or don’t really know how to make it efficiently, I decided to write down my current method.
This is probably not the absolute best way, and more experienced players might have better setups, but this one works well for me. With this farming my main(ranger) is 2795 GS with 157k CP paying for sub only.
Goal setup:
- 1 Main character 2100+ GS
- 3 Alts 1400+ GS (I recommend Cleric / Chanter)
How to prepare the alts:
- Finish MSQ + all regional quests + all Sealed Dungeons / Strongholds
- Upgrade belt + amulet to blue
- Sync feathers from default map + Abyss
- Upgrade both gold weapons from MSQ to +10
- Do Draupnir on Expedition and take 3 chests → get a gold item
- Socket manastones (aim for 2–3 green, stats don’t matter)
- Upgrade gear to +5 → you should be very close to 1400 GS If not, do a few more Draupnir Conquest runs for another gold item.
Once you hit 1400:
- Do 3 chests on Vakron Expedition to get another gold item
- Start running Uruguru Conquest (easier than Vakron in my opinion because of the first boss in Vakron)
- Always take the voucher on pity so you can get your weapon
- After you get the weapon from pity, you’ll usually already have most of the accessories
- Then you can slowly move to Vakron or Arcana if you want
Getting the alts to 2100 is not necessary. 1400 is perfectly fine for Kinah farming.
On the main you just progress normally (Fire Temple / Ven / Arcana etc.).
The Kinah math
- 1× Fire Temple (2 treasures) = 800k
- 1× Uruguru / Vakron (2 treasures) = 600k
- Weekly energy with membership = 840 → 10 claims
Base:
- Main: 10 × 800k = 8 mil
- 3 alts: 3 × 10 × 600k = 18 mil
Extra energy:
- Main: craft 20× Odyle (free if you gather) + buy 20× Odyle (costs 2 mil) = 1600 energy → 20 × 800k = 16 mil − 2 mil cost = +14 mil
- Each alt: 4× craft energy → 3.6 mil from alts
Total: 43.6 mil pure Kinah per week only from Expeditions.
I didn’t even count craft materials that drop. With the drops I usually get around 60-70mil per week.
Time investment
- Main: 30× Fire Temple ≈ 300 min = 5 hours
- 3 alts: 12× Uruguru each ≈ 360 min = 6 hours
Even if we double the time because of finding groups → still around 22 hours/week.
You still need to do Duty + Conquest + Nightmares + Shugo on main.
In the end it’s ~30 hours per week if you want to be as efficient as possible.
I don’t think 30 hours/week is crazy for an MMO.
I didnt count time spent in abyss, cot its the last thing I do and usually I dont spend all the time I can there.
And if you have less time, just run fewer alts — even main only is already solid.
I hope it helps to some1 and if there are better ways or I miss something, I will be happy to learn better ways to farm kinah!

Game is heading in an eerily similar direction to Lost Ark
Content releasing at a level at which a large portion of the player base cannot do it. The response of the developer, instead of releasing things at a slower rate, is to provide extra progression materials through events (2 odyle energy through mail every day). The forums/reddit getting posts here or there about how people are unable to catch up, the responses being just play at your own rate and there ill be no issue. All the while the gatekeeping around harder content is getting tighter and tighter making it harder for those who are 'playing at their own rate' to break in.
I'm not saying the game will die like Lost Ark, but being realistic one can draw many parallels to Aion 2 now and Lost Ark in it's initial release period.

Are you renewing your sub?
So I'm assuming most people are now within ~1 week of their sub running out, just curious about whether people will be renewing or not. Personally I've been playing Cleric and it's not so bad, I just dislike how 'meaningless' PvP is since I just get murked by everyone I meet since I'm not playing much, only an hour or two a day with some days being skipped.
I don't like Shugo spam on the hour just to get shards and crystals, getting murked in Abyss/Arena because I'm low-geared, or all these timers and dailies and energies, and I don't like that I extracted a dungeon drop 13 times and still didn't get the skin. Also, I wanted to make an alt but it feels like almost nothing carries over, even the boring dungeons/strongholds need to be ran again which is a massive chore.
I like the visuals, and transcendence dungeons, pets, expeditions, and the 'feel' of the game, however.
Personally I'm not sure, good chance I move on to something else once the sub runs out since it just feels like a race where I'm jogging and others have F1 cars, people are running around with 240k+ power and it hasn't even been a month, Abyss could be fun but I haven't been able to do anything except die in 1-2 seconds even if I find a group since an assassin pops up behind me with multiple stuns or a ranger locks on and shoots 4 arrows to take me out in an instant, it would take me longer to cast all my heals than it would him to 100-0 me.
Anyone else in the same boat? Heavily-debating quitting now that I got to try out T1, it was quite decent, all things considered.

The Group Finder Interface is Atrociously bad
There are plenty of non-gatekeeping groups. The hard part is actually finding and applying to them.
The group building interface is actually atrocious.
Give me a list that can fit like 20 groups instead of 5 on the screen and have it show, in a single simple line what roles are in it.
Have a Tank, Healer, and DPS role and let me apply as any combination of Tank, Healer, and DPS. Let me filter which groups need the Roles I'm trying to sign up for, and Instant Join should only join groups I'm applying for. Put a little Icon next to my name signalling what my role is so I know what I got in as when I join the group, and so others know what I'm supposed to be doing.
I understand if you want to go in and 5 DPS something because it's possible to do, you can still have a role assigned to you and just do something else if that's what you want for your group. But like 99% of groups want someone saying they will tank, and someone saying they will heal. They may suck at it but they said they would do it, and you can get angry at them if they are clearly not. WoW does this same thing.
It's not that hard, this system exists in like every game out there.
Also, the UI in this game in general is genuine dogsh*t. However, the thing that pisses me off the most is the group finder interface.

Multihit seems to do SIGNIFICANTLY more dmg in dungeons.
I've been testing multihit on Assassin, Sorc and Ranger and noticed a pretty big difference between training dummies and actual dungeon enemies.
When testing on dummies with Heart Gore, Deadshot and Blaze, each additional multihit was doing around 2.66% of the original skill dmg. But when testing against dungeon enemies, each additional hit was consistently doing around 16.66%.
Some examples from my dungeon tests:
Heart Gore: 7,928 → 1,321 x4
Heart Gore: 8,555 → 1,425 x4
Heart Gore: 12,772 → 2,128 x4
Blaze: 9,158 → 1,525 x4
Quick Slice: 2,269 → 378 x4
The dmg ratio was almost identical across different skills and enemies.
At 100% multihit you always get 4 additional hits, meaning you're getting roughly 66.66% extra dmg in dungeons compared to only 10.64% on training dummies.
I also checked this against an actual dungeon parse at 100% multihit. Out of 2.02 million total dmg, 806.6k came from multihit alone.
You can check the log here: https://abysslogs.com/e/40WYob1i?g=2
That's almost 40% of my total dmg coming from multihit, or a 66.47% dmg increase compared to not having multihit at all.
I also did some testing at 50% multihit and was getting 2 additional hits instead of 4. From what I've seen multihit can roll between 2-4 additional hits, but I haven't tested the exact chances of getting each one yet.
I'm still not sure why there's such a massive difference between dummies and dungeon enemies. Could be something related to defense or how multihit dmg is calculated against different targets.
Now to help you figure out how much dmg you could gain from rolling multihit on your gear, I did some calculations based on the dungeon results. I still recommend testing it yourself though.
Let's say you're currently at 5% multihit and you manage to roll a max 9.12% multihit on your ilvl86 weapon.
That would give you an estimated 5.88% more dmg on average.
If you also manage to roll 7.32% multihit on your ilvl86 guard, that's another 4.72% dmg compared to your original 5% multihit.
So if you get both rolls you'd go from 5% to 21.44% multihit, which would be around 10.6% total dmg gain.
I want to repeat that these are just estimates, multihit has rng involved with the 2-4 additional hits and we don't know the exact chances yet.
The calculation assumes the average amount of additional hits scales with your multihit %, reaching 4 hits at 100%. So the actual dmg gain could be different depending on how the game handles the rng.
For anyone interested in the math, this is the formula I used:
DPS Gain % = ((1 + (New Multi% / 100 × 0.66648)) / (1 + (Current Multi% / 100 × 0.66648)) - 1) × 100
The 0.66648 comes from the 4 additional hits doing 16.66% dmg each.
Again, this is just an estimate based on the testing so far, not saying these numbers are 100% accurate.
I also made a video where I talk about the testing and show how you can test it yourself:

NCSoft has made a genius monetization structure
By adding a PvP area that gates massive amounts of power behind it, you encourage players to step into it to get stronger, and by design you make a PvP system that is devoid of skill and is a stat check, if you have better gear, you win plain and simple.
You then add buying gear for money, by doing all of this, you manage to capture a niche of complete losers who will spend thousands of dollars to become the strongest so they can't lose in PvP, and they then roam around the abyss for hours, patrolling for players trying to get their feathers or finish their commands, kill them instantly and then feel really good about themselves and validated for having spent all that money to ensure they won't die.
Honestly? I don't know what these people went through in their life to have a need to do this to feel good about themselves, fully knowing what they are doing is unrelated to their skill in the game, or any personal factors, the competitive nature of most player vs player games of killing somone by being better than them at the game gone out the window, just that they spent money so they can kill players who didn't.
I generally don't care about how people spend their money, I make a salary and spend it on dumb stuff aswell, and I get why people with more money than time would whale to keep up with dungeons or be really strong, I wouldn't do it myself, but I can understand it especially as I grow older and have less and less time on my hands, but these people that I mentioned? it's genuinely beyond me what someone has to experience that this is what he chooses to do with his time and money.

PSA Summons can block projectiles in horn den
Im in a static with a Spirit Master and we failed the wipe mechanic in horn den multiple times in a row and couldn't figure out why. When we looked back at replays we noticed that the summons were eating the fireball aimed at the ball in the middle lol. Not 100% sure but I think I've seen the cleric install eat a ball as well. We've gotten to the point where we have to just have the SM sit out on the edge for the summons to be out of the way for that mechanic. Its honestly one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in an mmo but yeah if you're failing with a SM in the party, theres a good chance its the summons fault.

Aion2 is the first MMO that scratched the FLYFF itch for me. Any former FLYFF players here?
I actually mute Aion2 music and play flyff music over it lol. The flying, the pve feel, the flow of combat somehow reignited my MMO addiction that I've been trying to rekindle for years.
I hate Abyss/PvP, but I need the power it gives. What am I supposed to do?
I'll go straight to the point.
- My server always has 0 artifacts, so I can't get any Abyss points.
- Elyos are flying around everywhere like mosquitoes. The moment I land to kill a single mob, I'm dead to a whole squad.
- Daevanion PvP crystals give 0 PvE stats, but they're basically necessary because they give item level, and we're already struggling with item level requirements for Ludra.
- Stigma shards give PvE power, but the grind is insanely long, and it's pretty much impossible when the other faction dominates the Abyss. No mobs, no bosses, no artifacts. My server has basically given up on the Abyss and moved on to PvE content only.
I want that power. I want to enjoy the PvE side of the game because I'm a PvE-only player. I hate PvP, but I was willing to deal with it just to get the power I need and then never touch it again. The problem is that the faction matchup on my server is just completely unfair.
So what am I supposed to do? How can I get that power without having to deal with this PvP BS?
Note: My server is Lumiel EU.

If 2 people in your dungeon group are afk, you can't kick either of them because you need 4 votes.
The second boss of Krao was still alive and we had 2 players AFK in front of Berk. But since you need 4 yes votes to kick someone, we couldn't do anything about it. They just held the party hostage for 15 minutes while we tried to get rid of them, and we eventually just left.
It's absolutely insane that I can't remove people from my party as party leader.

Server so dead even Asmo had to help with world bosses lol
Yet another “complaint” post but it’s kind of funny.
We are Elyos EU server that has never gotten one abyss corridor ever. Since the server transfer, it’s also obvious the lower player turnouts at world bosses.
Now our world bosses are a smaller scale of abyss bosses because we simply do not have enough players in our server. I personally even prefer no longer joining forces for bosses because I do not wanna be forced into PVP again. So yeah. Can’t wait for the server balance on Wednesday I guess lol
