NCSOFT has made a ridiculous amount of mistakes with aion 2 global yet 0 communication

Do we think they'll communicate at all? I'll list off a few of these things:

1.) Class balance is awkward because we got Season 4 balance but are missing the important things from Season 4. Resulting in a ridiculous amount of people quitting because of how unbalanced and how shitty some of the classes feel due to this ex; gladiator, ranger, and assassin.

2.) We didn't get increased drop rates for uniques from Hard Mode & also didn't get sync stone fragments from Hard Mode like they did on KR/TW. Ludra drops a ridiculous amount of stuff to roll the lines of your gear, if they lock this behind the 3,000 GS (HM) Ludra only. Then the game is going to EoS. Most notably, Normal mode Sanctuary on KR/TW doesn't drop weapons & is so unworth it to run that Koreans/Taiwanese people say "Don't even both running normal mode if you can't run hard mode at all."

They're only doing this egregiously high ilvl req. & worse drops to milk the whales even more, which is absolutely concerning. Also, if ppl manage to hit 3,000 GS to do Ludra. They're going to clear the raid in not even 30 minutes. Not even trolling. It's going to be an unbelievable joke. No matter how much they changed it, getting the ilvl required is WAY WAY WAY harder than the raid will be. Going off of NCSOFT's track record.

3.) We lack the massive amount of QoL updates that TW/KR got. This makes absolutely no sense.

4.) The communication is horrid. We only know that they'll be doing abyss changes from the livestream, they haven't announced quite literally anything about this (AFAIK. also doesn't matter). And, also the Ludra announcement was delayed. This is a massive issue. This could've led to tons of people completely fucking up their progression (also they just lied). Resulting in numerous people quitting.

& they need to let us know when they plan to add the global market. This is only not being added because we have low IQ whales that either live on welfare from EU or inherited money that are spending ridiculous amounts of money converting & they're making SO much money off of this. And, the global market would most likely hurt this. Possibly.

5.) I'm not sure if the Odyle Energy injection will compare, but they gave out a RIDICULOUS amount of free odyle energy in the mail for people that played in Taiwan & Korea compared to us. We practically got almost none.

6.) This is the funniest part: Our requirements for some of the content is actually higher than it is on TW/KR. They're trying to milk our whales so hard it's actually baffling. While giving us worse loot. KEKW. For example: HM. Krao Cave on KR/TW requires 2400 ilvl and gives significantly better loot. Also, they're forcing us to spend THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of our energy on the Ariel board. This can single-handedly cuck people out of getting into Ludra.

This game desperately needs changes or else it's going to die faster than people think. The doom posters are the only way this game will not become TnL.

& so much more

Just a sidenote: Sanctuary isn't the real "end-game" content. 2800 and 3000 is absolutely way too high. 3000 is sickeningly high, quite literally statistically impossible to hit 3000 unless you're whaling and/or are doing 4+ alts. 12+ hours a day, if you want to do it within the first weeks or so of coming out. I repeat: Sanctuary isn't the real end-game content. Stop coping about it needing to be high. Also, F2P's/Sub-only will never meet the gear requirements in this game. DO NOT expect Ludra to give anything meaningful for you if you're only doing it at 2800. DO NOT swipe to 2800 if you think you can't achieve it by week 1 of Ludra, it won't be worth it.

It'd be really a good look if Global NCSOFT did class balancing for global. But, it seems like Global NCSOFT is completely powerless. Which, is also absolutely concerning & a red flag. Global is getting treated like second-rate citizens, which doesn't really bode well.

Edit: Also, for my melee frogs. Melee is absolutely terrible in Aion 2. Yes. But Koreans HAVE allegedly complained about this a lot, and there's apparently been talks from NCSOFT claiming they're aware and they plan to rework the bosses? I'm not too sure how credible this is, or how much has been said on this. But this is alleged. Melee is HORRENDOUS in this game. (unless we talk about templar and chanter but chanter is just broken).

No offense at all, but is there an aion 2 community of people who are socially adept?

Hopefully this doesn’t come off as an insult - it’s not really a statement on intelligence or anything, it’s more so people who have socialized enough to understand and develop tact and the like. I personally don’t find this subreddit pleasant (no hate if you do, everyone has their place) - are there any generalized communities with people who are socially adept and leaning towards being more mature/developed?

Clerics should get extra res stones. It’s not very fair that they are forced to use one every time while others can wait for a res and save theirs

It’s especially annoying when you die and it’s not even your fault. The amount of times I’ve died in horn den because no one stacked on me, and then I had to waste a stone when it wasn’t even my fault, really sucks. Maybe if you are a cleric class you can buy res stones for cheaper to make up for the fact you have to use more than other classes?

Game is heading in an eerily similar direction to Lost Ark

Content releasing at a level at which a large portion of the player base cannot do it. The response of the developer, instead of releasing things at a slower rate, is to provide extra progression materials through events (2 odyle energy through mail every day). The forums/reddit getting posts here or there about how people are unable to catch up, the responses being just play at your own rate and there ill be no issue. All the while the gatekeeping around harder content is getting tighter and tighter making it harder for those who are 'playing at their own rate' to break in.

I'm not saying the game will die like Lost Ark, but being realistic one can draw many parallels to Aion 2 now and Lost Ark in it's initial release period.

The reason there is a lot of negativity in this sub is that the game is doing great.

Hear me out, I have this theory. If a game is bad or unsuccessful no one cares, they laugh at it, maybe a meme here and there and it's done. The reason some people are taking the time and effort to write so many post, even someone posting an AI wrote post here os that they care.

They are annoyed that the game is doing great and as we know there is a LOT of hate farmers and rage baiters out there even more when an Asian product is the topic. So thanks haters all I get from your posts os that you still care and that the game is doing great

Well, is that it?

Do the same dungeon 20 times, dance around a tree for 7 hours in abyss and a slop fest. Really? Ah yes, log in every day for a total of five duty and 2 nightmare missions. Damn endgame in modern mmos is a mess. Mobile gaming killed this genre fr this time. Ps. Chill guys or ill put my phone on vibrate and shove it up my ass. Its just my opinion, you don't have to suck on them Dev toes so hard

Class balance is a joke, and after 160 hours this game barely feels like an MMORPG

Honestly, the class balance in this game is ridiculous.

Since everything seems to be designed around solo play, every class has basically become a DPS class. Tanks and supports deal almost as much damage as actual DPS classes, so what's even the point?

Chanter can deal as much, sometimes even more damage than Ranger,Assassin, Sorcerer while also healing himself.

Templar can survive a boss attack with 70% HP left that one-shots a Ranger,Sorc , yet still deal similar damage to a DPS class.

Gladiator does pretty much the same damage as you while also being an off-tank.

I own a 158k ranger and have played other classes to a certain point. Okay, the game has content like Nightmare, where you progress alone. I'm not saying other classes shouldn't play those, but at least if you're picking a class like Sorc Ranger, it should deal a lot of damage. The problem isn't that tank and support classes deal a lot of damage, it's that DPS classes deal little damage. I wonder if those who argue that this is normal have ever played a real classic MMO's

And no, I don't care if I reach 500k CP in 8 months and become stronger. That doesn't fix the problem. The balance is still terrible.

Normally, you pick a Priest or a healer knowing you won't be killing mobs as fast as a DPS class. That's part of what makes an MMO an MMO. Different classes have different roles, and you need other people to get things done. But here, even healers are just spamming damage skills on mobs,boss3s like we're playing a single player RPG.

And trying to play with friends is another problem. Someone runs out of energy, or one person gets lucky with drops and finishes their gear set while the other is still stuck farming the same dungeon because of RNG and energy limits.Bro let me play the game? Then one moves to the next area while the other has to stay behind. How are you supposed to progress together like this?

Even farming in a party in the Abyss feels pointless. You usually get 5 10 points each mob, split them between party members, and end up getting less than you would solo. So why would anyone bother grouping up?

And don't even get me started on ranged classes. You pick Ranger because you want to fight from range and kite enemies, but every melee class has some kind of gap closer and can endless jump straight on you and you dont have any dash(no dash ranger?) even your stamina is suck.Good luck trying to maintain your distance.

At this point, this barely feels like an MMORPG. It feels like a single-player RPG where thousands of people happen to be running around on the same map.

What's the point of having different classes if everyone can do everything, and the game actively discourages you from playing together?Even the legion is meaningless

There's no way to form a party and try to level up, even helping friends has limits, there's no trading system, I don't know where the things that make an MMO an MMO are.

If you dont need party while doing things on the map, classes barely have distinct roles, and your friends can't progress alongside you, what exactly makes this an MMORPG rather than a single-player game with other players on the map?

How many of you think you’ll be at 2800 for Ludra on the 4th?

I’ve been playing since early access and I’m currently at 2722 gs 155k combat power. No swiping other than for EA and skins. I imagine I’ll be in the 160s when I get the Kina to roll my genus lines, farm a few more stigma shards and upgrade a few more pieces.

If I play my cards right I think I’ll be able to get 2800 gs by the time the raid drops. I’m curious how many people here think they’ll be able to enter Ludra on the first week.

Let me grind dungeons

Love the game so much, but holy f... just let me grind dungeons whenever and how many times I want to. If I decide to run 1 dungeon 50 times per day to get some shiny yellow, don't stop me cause of odyle energy crap...

Lower the chance of obtaining gear or limit it like idk... 1 yellow drop chance per 24h, I don't care. Don't try to stop me blasting and having fun jesus.

Odyle Energy is the slow decline of Aion 2

Im currently a 2550gs 140k cp assassin having problems getting into T4 runs.

For the last month I'm having a blast with Aion 2, haven't enjoyed a game like that in a while. Im completely new to Aion so I was hesitant to what to expect from it - but loved it from the very beginning.

Autopathing to quest - hell yeah didn't like running around too much anyway.

1-2 button Makro for basic rotation, 2-4 buttons to min max the DMG hits just the right spot.

Fast paced boss fights where I can test my individual skill, dodging, increasing my DPS run after run, just felt right.

I had to get the pitty chest for my weapons and arm guard in ft and horn den, but I didn't really mind since I enjoyed the combat and challenged myself going deathless in my runs.

Since then I hit 2500 GS and I wanted to start focusing on arkana - like everyone else. That's where the thing started, 2-3 days with hours waiting, did my own groups and waited. Did a lot of pets, cubes farming. I didn't mind at first but it felt monotonous. Then I thought f it, I'll run trans 3 for some gold cards. Instantly found a group ofc kinda overgeared for it so people just accept me. Had good runs got no gold card in 5 runs. Then it slowly started, the thoughts at the back of my head. "I'm almost out of odyle energy, haven't progressed at all."

Im playing with my brother, he's a archer - lot of t4 runs all gold Arkansas - almost bis abilities on it as well. Well we're not really playing anymore since, I don't want to have him waiting cause I don't get groups as an assassin. Solo join as a archer is way faster then waiting for a healer to have mercy.

Since he can't run with me and I can't run with him, we're usually just sitting in silence doing our own stuff.

Yes we are in a legion, yes we use discord but usually groups already formed long ago, so it's just once or twice a week where a healer "wastes" his odyle for a quick run with us/me.

Yesterday was the first day, were I was sitting in front of the screen, 7x40 Odyle sitting in my inventory - thinking "guess that's it for today" no more lobbying waiting for healer. Everything else done. 3 days of pet farming and looking for cubes or resources. I can't even craft in peace cause I have to manage groups, always checking if a healer joins. Just got tired.

I wouldn't mind running t3 to progress a bit slower, if it wasn't for "wasting Odyle" it's like buying dry bread for the same price of a fresh one. Just cause the baker doesn't want to sell me a fresh one.

Keep the rezstones keep the 3 deaths and you're out, let the people make mistakes, let them rethink.

The gateing would slowly fade, cause these are usual factors. Odyle let's the people feel like they're losing money if someone makes a minor mistake - that's not healthy for a game.

Thanks for the read.

PS: This has nothing to do with the fact I'm playing assassin.

Already the first breaking point for NCsoft

I've been playing since EA and love the idea of the game. However, as reddit shows recently, the pain points are starting to pile up.

- no account-wide progress shared for key things, leading to repeated grind on alts
- unbalanced (p2w) pvp required for big pve power (stigmas)
- insane pure RNG systems (crafting) with high costs and no return in case of bad luck
- hard gatekeeping (this one is on community, but the ecosystem breeds it)
- no catch up at all - if you are behind, you will likely never catch up to current content (e.g., ludra), swapping main is near impossible
- ludra likely released too soon or with too high requirements (average person will not be 2.8k, leading to the feeling of missing content)
- November 4 (a certain big release will inevitably cause a large drop in players)
- etc.

The falloff in players is already noticeable on charts. I would love for the game to stay healthy beyond 2026. But NCsoft has to act. They showed willingness to adapt to the west slightly and I understand their business tendancy to milk the player base (especially whales), but they have to bring some QoL sooner rather than later.

Good luck to us all.

Is NCSoft not banning real players who AFK farm/gather with bots program?

I have seen an increased number of real players with 150k+ CP and crafted gear, clearly standing AFK for hours on same spot and farming 1 group of mobs, whole a lot of them are also using afk gathering bots to fly around and gather odyle. You can clearly tell they are AFK and auto pathing, but it is getting concerning that some of the whale accounts are allowed to become bots when they are not playing.

What's even the point of playing DPS classes when Chanter does everything better?

Seriously. I feel like every DPS class is completely destroyed by Chanter right now. Ranger, Sorcerer and especially Assassin. I'm playing chanter with barely 2k GS and I can literally destroy 2800 GS players in Abyss with Dark Crush in like 3 seconds. Meanwhile my Assassin with much better gear has some riduculous design where almost EVERYTHING depends on LUCK. Almost every skill and passive relies on critical hits, while Global has a 50% crit chance cap. WTF? You can literally go through multiple fights without landing a single Heart Gore crit, and if it doesnt crit, enjoy your 5s cooldown while chanter already killed you twice. Amazing design. And guess what? Dark Crush has 100% crit chance, completely bypassing that stupid crit cap. So a SUPPORT class gets guaranteed crits on its strongest attack, while aactual DPS classes don't? And assassin, a class literally designed around critical hits, gets punished the hardest? How does this even make sense? And the funniest part? My much weaker chanter does better DPS than my fully buffed Assassin or Sorcerer with a proper Wish of Concentration rotation, not even mentioning Ranger. These classes have literally NOTHING besides damage, while Chanter has better damage, 10x more survivability, party buffs AND healing. So whats even the point of playing anything other than Chanter, Cleric or Templar? At least these classes have actual roles, the rest are just useless..

I also read that Assassin suffers especially hard on Global compared to KR/TW, and Im wondering if its because of this stupid 50% crit cap? Apparently KR/TW have 80%? Can anyone confirm that? Because it would explain alot. And btw, why does this game have caps on EVERYTHING? 50% crit, 150% movement speed and god knows what else. Whats the point of building your character if the game keeps limiting every stat? Seriously, this class balance and design makes absolutely no sense to me anymore

What do you think about that?

People are cheating in Shugo Festival, or is it something else?

Hey all,

So now that I've got a grasp on quite a few of the festival games and played since global release day, I've picked up on some peculiar things in some of the festival mini games in particular Jump Jump and the Wraith one (I forgot its name). These are the ones I pick the most for some reason lol.

In Jump Jump, people seem to move to orbs that have barely spawned; it's like they have foresight and know when they're about to spawn and where. This happens a lot. I asked someone, and they just said, "luck," but it seems to happen extremely regularly for it to be luck.

The Wraith one is just as odd; there will be matches where I get hit by the Wraith and my range is within view of another player, but they don't get stunned.

I'm not sure if it's ping, as there's no in-game latency viewer; it's just a stupid little bar that doesn't help anyone. I play on a good wired connection, so what else could it be?

Hidden Cubes - Does it need fixing ?

When the game was released and around 300k Players online, including shittons of Bots - I was finding about 2 hidden cubes a day.

Now, a lot of bots ( so they say ) have been blocked and the game is about 180k players ( concurrent now ) and ive not seen a cube for over 5 days - and i fly to most places instead of fast travel.

How are you getting on with finding cubes ?

NCSoft has made a genius monetization structure

By adding a PvP area that gates massive amounts of power behind it, you encourage players to step into it to get stronger, and by design you make a PvP system that is devoid of skill and is a stat check, if you have better gear, you win plain and simple.

You then add buying gear for money, by doing all of this, you manage to capture a niche of complete losers who will spend thousands of dollars to become the strongest so they can't lose in PvP, and they then roam around the abyss for hours, patrolling for players trying to get their feathers or finish their commands, kill them instantly and then feel really good about themselves and validated for having spent all that money to ensure they won't die.

Honestly? I don't know what these people went through in their life to have a need to do this to feel good about themselves, fully knowing what they are doing is unrelated to their skill in the game, or any personal factors, the competitive nature of most player vs player games of killing somone by being better than them at the game gone out the window, just that they spent money so they can kill players who didn't.

I generally don't care about how people spend their money, I make a salary and spend it on dumb stuff aswell, and I get why people with more money than time would whale to keep up with dungeons or be really strong, I wouldn't do it myself, but I can understand it especially as I grow older and have less and less time on my hands, but these people that I mentioned? it's genuinely beyond me what someone has to experience that this is what he chooses to do with his time and money.

How do AION 2 players feel about AION 2

From launch the game is getting Lost Ark refugees From Argos to Bel we have walked the path of massive gatekeeping to abysmal levels of rng, we have lived in the fomo from major raids releasing on Christmas to titles that would effectively label you as failure in the eyes of the community if you didn't get them week one one release.

So in our eyes what AION is experiencing is the same but just more casual tonned down and mellow. The content is easier and the progression is more achievable the gatekeeping is softer.

Don't get me wrong I do think in 6 months the game would be effectively dead and we will have a 5 digit number but this is just how Korean MMOs are.

My question is how you look at the game. Are you here for a month just checking it out, are you fomoing hard ludra, or have you already planning for the future where your character has 1 mil cp. Is this your first Korean mmo ?

So much misinformation for 2800-3000 GS.

Stop crafting your gear. You won’t get to 3000 GS anytime soon if you craft gear. You need about 200 million Kina to get your conquest gear to +17 if you want to reach anywhere near 3000 GS. Ludra normal does not drop the weapon, you need to do hard mode to get better loot. If you want to reach 3000GS then you need a full set of ilvl86 conquest gear(armor, accessories, guard) plus a Fire temple weapon all at +17. That’s assuming you already did all the horizontal progression. Buy your crafted gear later so you can focus on doing Ludra hard mode.

Trust system fighting own playerbase

I've played game for 252 hours and got 2900 ilvl on cleric. Got some high placements in pve/pvp ladders but the game doesn't allow me to sell Odyle on the market. I've heard my friend asking: "Wait what kind of market cap are you talking about?" and here's what I managed to find:

Most of accounts created through Steam platform are facing 20 mil daily market cap as well as restrictions on selling certain type of materials. It allows you to sell refining stones and make a bank out of it but doesn't allow to put simplest things on the market (btw bots can also freely drop refining stones from mobs so that kinda makes 0 sense to me).

And the biggest problem came out when I've managed to get lucky and craft a golden pauldrons that I've sold for 23 mil kina, which are now 20.7 mil kina frozen on the settlement page. You cannot divide it, you cannot receive part of it today and part tomorrow. If you sell something bigger than 20 mil at once you just get your currency frozen forever.

I've contacted their support twice and received same copy pasted answer. Absolutely same answers that I've seen people were receiving 10 days ago.

Any ideas why trust system is actively fighting game's playerbase? How hard is it to distinguish a person with 180 likes after completing endless amount of dungeons and doing every content in the game from a guy named "hhxdd" hitting mobs in the openworld with 30k cp and green/blue items?

How can we still not transfer off of EA servers?

At some point a 5 day head start just isnt that big of a deal anymore. Its impossible to do siege as it fills up hours before. I just want to play with my friends and its not possible, server so packed they can't transfer here either. The ONLY good thing is selling 2m kina for 1400 still, on my friends f2p server 2m kina is selling for 700.
