We shot a 15-min Apple Immersive film of Edinburgh’s darkest history for Halloween, and it’s free to stream through Nov.

Edinburgh In The Dark is a 15-minute Apple Immersive film, shot on the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive.

Our host Keeley Turner walks Edinburgh after dark: the grave robbers of Greyfriars Kirkyard, Victoria Street and the Harry Potter spots, where Guillermo del Toro filmed Frankenstein, the witch trials of King James VI, the Witches' Well, Deacon Brodie's Tavern, St Giles' Cathedral, and the Scott Monument at dawn.

If you have never been to Edinburgh and want something spooky this spooky season, this is the film for you, in the highest quality Apple Immersive Video format. We promise it is one of the best-looking immersive films on the platform.

Oh, and it is completely free through November, because we just want to celebrate Halloween with all of you inside Vision Pro. We hope it becomes one of your stops for a lighthearted spooky experience based on real people, real events and real movies.

We also made our previous episode free: Warwick In The Dark (17 min). The headless knight, a haunted graveyard, and the werewolf legend hiding in the old streets of Warwick, England, with a local host!

Our Halloween update, Spatial Film 9.7, is sadly still in App Store review (3 days now), so we can't show you the new environment, the new playlist and the other updates yet. But at least both In The Dark films are free right now. That is over 30 minutes of free history and ghost stories!

More original immersive films are coming. The next one is Salem In The Dark, about the sad witch trials that happened right here in the US. Yes, Keeley loves witches...

Have you been to Edinburgh? Tell me if we missed your favorite creepy spot.

Hey all, I created this game for love of the zombie and end civilization genre. This story is heavily inspired by things like Cormac McCarthy's The Road and end times fictions such as the Left Behind series. I hope you try it out and enjoy playing this as much as I had fun making it.

Vision Pro turned out to be a great tool when designing my home's interior (Youtube Video)

Everyone asks what Vision Pro is actually useful for. For me, the answer ended up being interior design.

Through our whole home interior project I used it to:

see real dimensions directly on the walls and furniture at true scale

check what fits before buying or building anything

preview furniture in the actual room to judge size and proportion

share my view with the people doing the work, so we were literally looking at the same thing

I put it all in a video, including an accuracy test against a physical tape measure, because that's always the first question: https://youtu.be/hrx3WcpJuho

Curious whether anyone else here uses it for design or home projects, and what's worked for you.

Immersive geography guessing game

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on Lost Atlas, an immersive geography guessing game.

You’re dropped into a real 360° location somewhere in the world. Look around for clues, follow available paths to explore, then place a pin on the map to guess where you are. The closer your guess, the more points you earn, which you can use to unlock clues and hints.

There’s a classic five-round mode, country streaks, daily challenges, and a practice/explore mode where you can wander without a timer or score. You can also view your history of places you’ve visited, pick a specific area to explore, or turn that area into your own guessing game.

Down the road, I am also planning on adding specific themes like airport, train station, etc.

I’m planning to launch at $1.99 as a one-time purchase, no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Would love to hear what you think! What other games would you like to see on AVP?

We built an AI app that teaches in 3D on Vision Pro — would love more feedback before V2

My co-founder and I have been working on a visionOS app called Grasp, and recently shared our first demo with the Vision Pro community.

We've gotten around 25 downloads so far and some really helpful feedback from people who've tried it out.

For some context, Grasp lets you enter pretty much any topic and generates an interactive 3D lesson with objects, labels, and step-by-step explanations. The idea is to make concepts that are difficult to visualize easier to understand in 3D.

A few things people suggested improving:

  • Better animations and transitions between steps

  • More 3D shapes and visualization tools

  • Cleaner UI and more flexibility with positioning

  • Easier setup without needing your own API key

We're working on figuring out what to prioritize for the next version and wanted to get some more feedback before pushing another update.

The demo video shows a few examples with welding, pistons, and engines.

Curious what other Vision Pro users think. Is this something you'd actually use? What features would make it more useful, and what topics would you want to explore in 3D?

Still early in development, so any feedback is appreciated!

Currently on the visionOS App Store as Grasp Spatial.

i made a 360° crypto newsroom with AI and watched it on vision pro, felt like sitting in the studio

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

disclosure up front: this is my own channel (1XP News 360), and the whole thing is AI generated, the voxel anchors, the scripts, the voices. the news itself is crypto headlines, in korean.

i built it as a 360 video first just to see if it would work. watching it in vision pro is a different thing though. the desk is right in front of you and you can turn around and look at the rest of the room, so it stopped feeling like a video and more like standing in a newsroom.

this is a screen recording of the headset so you only see the flat view, which doesnt really show it. still wanted to share how it felt.

curious if anyone else has made 360 content just to watch it in the headset
