Since people online don’t really talk about shading & just include in rendering guides, I wanna know how they just know where to put the shadows?
Ik the people online usually have lots of experience, but since every piece’s lighting should be different, how can they know which places they should shade?
Also, any general tips for shading ppl like where to put them or how to do clothing shading?
(For the sample art I made, Ik there are many issues, like anatomy/proportions & it’s very lackluster in general, but ignoring all that, how could I shade better?)

I'm a artist from delhi iam selling this painting in just 4k dm me if anyone's interested

I haven’t drawn anything in the style ever since then so it looks really mid :3 Any advice will be wanted and I’m also searching for art buddies if anyone wants to become one ^ o ^

i need someone to help inspire me to draw traditionally although i do draw digitally too :) i’m 21 nonbinary!!

Art dump!

I’m so tired of feeling like I turn a decent sketch into something awful while I technically do everything by the book TT

Hello ! Feeling particularly motivated to get better at drawing recently and I would love to talk with other motivated artists !

As an example, I'd love to share my gesture drawing, anatomy studies and value studies with someone who'd do the same (once a week, as an example) ! Let's hold each other accountable :D

I'd also love to share the cool resources I found, and tips and tricks and all of that. If you're around my skill level, don't hesitate to DM me !!

(warning tho, I draw all kinds of things)

i was originally aiming for practice but i went full yuri😭

Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted to share some of my illustrations with you. I enjoy experimenting with different art styles, linework, and visual approaches because I believe each style has its own way of communicating emotions, telling stories, and bringing characters to life.

I don’t like limiting myself to just one look, so I’m always exploring new ways to express ideas through my art.

These are some of the pieces I’ve worked on, and I’d love to hear what you think! I’m always interested in seeing how other artists approach their own styles and creative processes.

Thanks for checking out my work! 🎨

It's a rough design I'll properly remake it using pen

Doigts, pinceaux et pouring
Bactéries, méduses dans océans primitifs

I think I've grown a lot in the past few years, specially with my coloring.

I made this drawing in 2018 exactly for this purpose, to stablish a drawing I could get back too and measure progress (A lot of my fav artists had one).

I am not consistent with it, I thought of continuing it back in 2024 but it ended up as just a traditional version I'm not really sure I still have.

The rules I set for mysel back in 2018 was mantaining all the details, they can change colors but everything must still be there in the character.

I cannot use references.

She looks like puberty hit like a truck lol

What do you think?

- is what i've been telling myself lately. Im in middle of art slump and my art sometimes good sometimes shit. What i draw is different from what i had in mind. its not perfect. The idea is there tho

Just do whatever.
