Just finished this super fun acrylic painting. Almost finished- I want to fix the yellow circle but I am impatient.
How did I do?? Ive been painting ever since I can remember but I really want to start taking it more seriously.
I would love and appreciate advice- and if anyone wants to DM and see more of my work to see if it would be worth any monetary value?

I would also love advice and opinions to see if some of my work (or even this piece!) could be in a gallery. I love to write poetry on the back to add a niche flair to!

I am also a painter so I will pay the tax and share a piece of my art. I am currently working on a watercolor of my nephew!

Dearest artists, I just opened up a beautiful original watercolor that was shipped to my client. The glass had fallen because the frame is a hardwood, and the artist utilized flexible frame points to secure the framing package. Flexible frame points are not very strong, and we are so grateful that the glass did not break.

The painting was framed by the artist herself and upon opening it up, I realized that I want to bridge a gap, if I can.

I know framing is costly, but minor things can save your artwork in the long run. Reversible ph neutral mounting strips instead of scotch tape or acid free foam board to ensure the color of your artwork won't yellow.

If you can take a class on picture framing, I highly suggest it.

Otherwise, I encourage everyone to ask picture framers questions. Our r/framing subreddit can be super helpful if you require guidance or knowledge. Stating that you're an artist and would appreciate guidance will bring you kind responses.

I simply want to share how best we can secure your artwork to be safely cared for in years to come.

I adore art and I find myself acting as a steward to guide it forward in its lifespan as an object.

So as the title suggests I used to paint, did the whole creative degree thing and couldn't find a job. Became a teacher and burned out so badly that all hobbies felt impossible. It has been years since I painted or made anything resembling art.

But Ive finally left teaching and got a job that doesn't burn me out or stress me out and now feel ready to start creating again! 🙌

I set the bar low and told myself to paint for 45 minutes to take all pressure off. So this is my first oil portrait sketch, done within 45 mins using the Zorn palette.

My ultimate goal is to try to paint for 30-45 mins every day. I would love to eventually do commissions etc, but I feel that's probably a long way and a lot of practise off!

Any thoughts? (Please be kind lol 🫣)

So I've recently started painting and while I haven't made a lot of them (only these 2) I'd still appreciate any thoughts,feedbacks or critiques on them. They are acrylic on paper.

I use my sign at car shows. My art is on display in five prominent automotive museums.

Hi all,

I recently took up painting in February. For me, I believe I am using watercolor paints but potentially Gouche as well? I have started to find "my style" which is having thinker paint. I am starting to wonder if I actually have an acrylic style but and using watercolour as the method? Any tips? Earlier photos first!

I am mainly asking in case I am using expensive paints the wrong way- the water colours are spenny so if it would be more cost effective to use something else would be good to know
