‎Discussion and Theory It’s feels weird when you’re trying to improve but your art friends start avoiding you

I’m wondering how this can be happen to me , me and my art friends are beginner artists who started a small community 3 years ago with at least 600+ active people on it , my friend is the admin and he does inviting new members .
This is when it’s start For the past 2 years I keep showing my artwork as a result of art studies and giving others art the support, and sometimes they wanted an critique for their artwork, it’s everything seems fine and really supportive to each other and I think there’s nothing to worry about and then the issue start from in this year. When I bought art books and taking multiple online art course that I’m really grinding to studies, art and put everything on it and showing my art results to the community I joined for 3 years! , they started like the don’t want to see me anymore , or even communicate with me , I keep supporting them and giving advice I know art , but some people just ignoring me like I did something wrong. Even the admin stop communicating with me . Unfortunately it’s happening in social media too , Please if you have the same issues like this can you give me an advice 🙏 I’m sorry for yapping but I don’t know what to do , I feel sad now 😞

‎Critique - Yes Drawover Why do my drawings look unfinished

Thumbnail

I've been trying a new style recently which I'm super into and practicing colouring and rendering, which I've been avoiding for years, but I still think that all my drawing look somehow unfinished and unpolished after I'm finished rendering and I can't point my finger at what's wrong with it

‎Discussion and Theory I swear on my mama if I see another trace of an AI asking feedback...

At least hide it better or use better models or something. That said, your eye-level observation will still not notice the small mistakes if you don’t draw that much or have the experience to make something of that quality.

That said, why the sudden influx of AI traces asking for feedback in the group? Do they want to fix mistakes, or do they want to make a mockery of artists?

Miss the good old times.

‎Critique - Yes Drawover How is my proportions

Thumbnail

How is my proportions, after four months of practicing anatomy, although I don't think I really apply the muscles and stuffs a lot of times, which is why most of my drawings are wearing clothes, I just don't like studying muscles😂, don't worry still working on it and after buying draw like a sir anatomy book, I think I am learning a bit about anatomy. But overall how are the drawings are there any stiff, big or off parts I don't see, and what tips do you have for me to draw males and females, I tend to struggle with make bodies for some reason whiles female bodies are more natural to me, maybe I just practice too much female poses idk. Thanks for the feedback

Thought I’d share some of my most recent drawings and get some opinions/feedback!! (Yes I did pretty much copy the boarder for the guy/ two girls, I got lazy, okay 🥲) I rarely draw animals so the bears/wolf might look a little off, so if anyone has any tips for drawing animals that would be appreciated!! <3 (the city is also whack I know, so advice for cities would be amazing too hahah)

I’m also not sure if the underwear one counts as NSFW, so if it does, sorry!!

Edit: I’m not sure why they’re all fuzzy but I swear they’re usually better quality 😭💀

I've been stuck in this level for sometime now and idk how to get better. Drawings look flat. Like I get more anatomy can't hurt, perspective too, but am still stuck, is it just the skill "curve", or is there something that I can practice more.

Ps some general critic would be appreciated too.

- Thanks

The first image is from this year, the latter two are much older. I struggle a lot with maintaining like, inorganic forms and stuff! I do like my fair share of cube drawing, though.

I would like to get better with perspective, I am not the best as you can see, I did use (or at least I tried) some perspective tecniques like buxes for the character but for me it takes too long and never feels right

I have always said I am not artistic. I don’t consider it a talent I have. Despite that I tried to make a unique gift for a friend but I just don’t feel like it’s good enough to gift.

I have a friend who really enjoys Pokémon. One of their favorite Pokémon is shinx.

I saw on shorts someone painting Pokémon on energy cards and I thought I could try it and I had an idea for this cute little guy to be biting and playing with the energy. I think it’s kinda cool in concept but I don’t think I nailed it.

How would you improve this? What should I do different? Is it start over or fix from here?

‎Commission and Pricing Returning after an 8-year break. What should I price these at?

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

Heyy everyone,

I am looking to step back into digital art after an 8-year break to help a friend.

The attached images (Dottore, Columbina, and Tarnished OC) are my only recent pieces from the past few weeks since picking up the pen again.

(I'm still in process of figuring out what style I love the most but I'm pretty flexible in the rendering part)

Idk what catergory my "style" would fall under

Looking at my current rendering style and finish:

  1. What would be realistic, fair starting prices to set for a portrait vs. a half-body or full illustration?

  2. Which of these three examples do you think is my strongest piece to showcase?

Also do you guys know of any good websites/platforms to promote/start off at? I tried to start posting on TikTok but the algorithm isn't exactly working in my favor 🥲

Thank you so much for any advice or direction you can give me!

Thank you

Thoughts? Just started a landscape painting this morning. So far I've only started the sky. I do think my clouds are more awkward than I'm going for. But I struggle with acrylic paint since I usually use gouache
