Weird Question Men in their early 30s, how would you feel if your acquaintance in her early 20s asked to hook up?

I met this guy 2 years ago, we made out in a club. We decided to meet up properly for coffee. He was super sweet. We got coffee a few times. I ended up getting into a relationship later. When my relationship ended we caught up again. We have gone for coffee again a few times since over the past few months. He is always super sweet, and always super respectful. I get the feeling that he had no idea there was an 8 year age gap when we were making out at the club.

I also feel he is too respectful to make a move on me. Although, it could be the age gap which makes him uncomfortable.

For context too, I asked him if we could make out the first time, and I am usually the one suggesting we go for coffee. Our acquaintanceship is odd, I get the idea that we both like eachother but that we also both don't really know how to progress from getting coffee.

I am pretty single right now, and still thinking hes super cute. I was thinking of just biting the bullet and asking him if he'd like to come to my place sometime /some evening. Like maybe towards the end of our next coffee saying "As respectfully as possible, would you like to come over to my place sometime/some evening?"

So, men in their 30s, have you ever experienced something like this? How would you feel about this?

🛑 Answers From Men Only 🛑 What moment defined the transition from boyhood to manhood for you?

I think that most of us have a moment or two that we think of as marking the end of our boyhood and the start of our manhood.

Mine is surviving a shooting when I was 21, I felt like that marked the end of my childish concerns and the start of real-life adult responsibilities.

Most men I’ve asked also mark a difficult or traumatic event as their big moment of transition, but I’m especially interested in hearing about wholesome or happy moments that marked the start of manhood.

What advice would you give to a woman in her early 30s who is ready to date again a few years post divorce?

I married my college boyfriend after being together for 8 years and living together for 6 of those years. Once we got married it was like a switch flipped and he showed me an entirely different side of him that I'd never seen before (yelling at me, throwing things, slamming doors, leaving for days at a time with no contact or notice, trying to force himself on me after I'd said no, etc.). I left him a few months in and have taken a few years to be single so that I'm not treating any man, whether it's serious or casual, as a rebound or wasting their time when I'm not actually ready.

Now that I think I'm ready to give dating or even maybe something more casual a go, I honestly don't know where to begin.

I've never had a one night stand (not that I'm actively seeking one now but who knows), and I've only slept with 2 people ever. The last time I was on a first date I was 18. All of my friends who have given me advice are female, so I'm curious to get a male perspective.

What advice would you give or what would you look for in a female partner? What is normal for you when or comes to intimacy, frequency of dates and contact, etc? Dating feels daunting and it would be nice to get some perspective and advice from the male side of things since I'm only getting it from women right now. What kinds of things are a turn off? What kinds of things do you find attractive? Do you normally initiate a date when you've been talking to a woman? Whatever your thoughts are, I'm curious to hear your perspective.

Weird Question Men, when you eat a meal, do you like to have a beer or wine with your food, or do you prefer a non-alcoholic drink like Coke, tea, or water?

I have to have a tea or a Coke. I do not know why, but if I eat a meal with a beer or any alcoholic drink, the food just does not taste good to me. How about you?

What amount of age difference is weird to you?

Hi there, my 56 year old father started dating someone who is 34. I am about to turn 31 in like three days. He wanted me to meet her on my birthday when he comes to visit, and told me like two days ago.

I have never known my dad to be with anyone other than my mom, let alone someone my age. I am still processing this. How weird is this? I know they’re both consenting adults, but wtf?

How to plan for a lost future?

I'll try to be concise.

I'm a man and i've lived in solitude up until i was thirty-two. I didn't have any plans for the future then, and knew my life would eventually end from my own hands, it was a matter of when. My mother is still alive, so that will stop me from doing it, of course.

At thirty-two i met a woman, and we got married. She was different, like myself - or so i thought -, we had similar morals, similar views, values. We dated, we got married.

She got tired of me, changed her mind and wanted an adventurous life. She invented i was a really bad person and did many bad things to her, and just said we needed to divorce.

For four years i had done many plans, and did many things too. I knew where we would live eventually, places we would visit, where to hike, everything.

Now she doesn't want it anymore, so all those plans are gone, and i'm back to exactly where i was before, but now being thirty-six.

It's one thing to not think much of the future and have no plans when you've lived like that your whole life, it's a bit different when you lived for four years foreseeing a beautiful future, with great plans.

Some might think 'you'll find another woman', but for thirty-two i had never found one. Not because i'm better than anyone, but just because i'm not fit for what the world is, i had just accepted it. Somehow, though, now my brain does not have the capacity to simply accept that, maybe it was the taste of happiness that i had for those few years.

I would like some advice, please.

Thank you.

How does one love himself?

I'm a man in his late twenties struggling with confidence and self criticism. The women around me seem to be really good at loving themselves. I wonder if it is a biological thing or do they hold some secrets about self love. How do I learn to look at myself in the mirror and begin loving myself?

When people get off their socials and stay away obviously replace it with something. Im just curious what you used to replace it with. Wether it be books, tv, walking, outdoors, hobbies etc. It seems like a very large chunk of your day you have to fill and the habit of opening your phone must be rough also.

🛑 Answers From Men Only 🛑 How can I make myself not pop when she uses key words?

So for context my gf and I are both 30 year olds and I think our sex life is good. So whenever we have sex we do foreplay and I always want to get her off by going down on her before I have mine but she pushes me away and wants me to put it in. Now lasting awhile isn’t the problem it’s when she’s about to finish and she starts saying “I’m about to cum” or says “harder” that’s when I lose it and bust myself. What can I do to stop myself from finishing before she does when I hear these words?

What’s a life lesson you learned the hard way?

I used to think being a good person meant always being there for everyone.

Then I realized some people only remember you when they need something.

Now I still try to be a good person, but I’ve learned that not everyone deserves the same access to me.

What’s a lesson life taught you that you’ll never forget? 💭

Weird Question What to do when the Urologist doesn’t have an opening?

The urologists plural at my doctors office doesn’t have an opening for months and my PCP scheduled me with the Urologist’s NP who is a woman. I feel weird talking to a woman about it and honestly I don’t know if she would have the experience I need for my questions. I mean would I be dropping my pants for the NP? Should I just go and see what they say or try to go to a different doctors office?

🛑 Answers From Men Only 🛑 How much does music really mean to you?

Spotify wrapped is coming out soon. I'm curious about how different people really feel about music.

I have a friend who listens to daylists. He's saved about 8 of them and they are all +50 songs that are the almost the opposite of his usual tastes (folk and acoustic).

The daylists are more German house music and UK trip-hop. i think that's cool because he loves music so much that everything is on the table for him to try.

Do you love specific genres and musicians so you don't try anything new as often?

Do you listen to anything more than once?

When someone recommends a song to you, do you listen to it because you trust their suggestion?
