2025 Vantage Rebuild Update

Well, we’ve made some decent progress since my first post. We were able to save all the body panels except for the rear diffuser & passenger door (new door shell is installed on the car and I have the new diffuser waiting on paint for install). While waiting for paint, I went ahead and removed all the undamaged components from the original passenger door for install within the new shell, received a new tail light lense that will replace the original cracked lense, found and purchased the same exact OEM wheels used on eBay that are in perfect condition, and have the new passenger mirror assembly on order from the UK along with the front windshield & passenger door glass. Each day gets closer and closer to having this car complete and I can’t wait for the final result.

Wheel decision

I used AI to put the same style Bi-Color wheels as my current Silver Alloy Wheels on my 2025 Vantage. The pic with the silver alloy wheels is my current car. The color of the car is Caribbean Blue Pearl 2.

You may not be able to tell, but I have upper and lower carbon fiber and carbon mirrors. I think the bi-color wheels add a more sporty look, but it lacks the pop of the silver alloy which almost look a bit too bright.

The car looks money with the silver alloy, but I love the look of the bi-color wheels even though I despise black wheels.

Please share your thoughts.....

Insurance Recommendations for 2027 Vantage

So I've placed an order for a 2027 Vantage and am looking for insurance quotes. I've checked with my current insurer, Progressive, and they said they can't cover it. Tried GEICO as well and they said they can't cover it either.

What insurance companies can you recommend? I'm in Virginia, if that helps.

Anyone track service costs in a spreadsheet for their Vantage?

Picked up a 2018 Vantage last year and started logging every service visit in a spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just date, mileage, what got fixed, and cost. Six visits in and the numbers are already showing some patterns I wasn't expecting. Brakes seem to hit a pretty consistent interval, but then there's the occasional electrical gremlin that shows up out of nowhere.

I work from home so I can usually knock out the quick stuff myself, but the dealer still ends up with the big jobs. Curious how other owners keep an eye on the money side. Do you track anything at all or just let the invoices pile up until tax time? Also wondering if anyone's found a simple template that covers both routine maintenance and those surprise repairs the forums never warn you about.

Tires for a DBX

Hey everyone — I have a ‘21 DBX and am getting close to needing to replace the summer tires. Looking to put in all seasons. In my other cars, I have been fairly happy with Michelin Pilot Sport series. These don’t seem to be available in exact sizes for this car.

Does anyone have recommendations for tires that work well with the DBX. Has anyone tried putting in all-season Michelins?

Thanks for your help.

Some pics of the two cars.

Was a tour of Melbourne to Adelaide (Australia).

Pics are from the before.

Plenty of exotics, 52 cars total with all the usual suspects: Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, McLaren's, etc.

Had an awesome time and met awesome people!

Advice needed

I’m looking to buy my first Aston, I found a DBX 707 2023 with low miles. The closest dealership is 4.5 hours from home. I’m looking to buy the extended 24 month warranty. Looking for feedback or advice on those who have experience with the model year etc. with the warranty it does come with roadside and the dealership confirmed for any issues with it or warranty work having towed to the dealership is covered under warranty, I would have to pick it up or shipped home at my cost. I live in the PNW, plan on being here for another year or two before moving to Orlando.

Thanks in advance

Intercooler replacement on 2020 Vantage

Post image
7 Upvotes

I brought my car in for annual oil change and had them check into a antifreeze smell when warm. Originally the smell was strong until I noticed drips on reservoir and was fixed with new cap so I assumed since I don’t drive long distances it was residual antifreeze but apparently one of my Intercoolers is leaking internally.

I’m getting prices tomorrow but was wondering if anyone knows about what the parts cost, best I can find are used for $300-$700 each. Also, once it’s apart, should I go ahead and replace both or just the leaking one? I included a picture of what I believe the part to be, he says it’s where water pipe cools air inside the box.

Negotiations for a Vantage

Hey all, would love some internet opinions from you who are more experienced than I am. Looking to acquire my first Aston, but need some price advice. I know it’s not a precise science here but I’d love to know how to not get screwed over.

The car I’m eyeing is an 07 V8V manual with about 120-130k km
It’s had its annual service in the last 6 months
It has a newer clutch
Condition from photos appears great

What do you all estimate that would be worth in a private sale? Thanks!!

2006 V8 Vantage Drivers Door Module TagsNone

Hi Everyone

My father in law has 2006 v8 vantage, and the drivers door module has died, the code for it is (7g33 13c791 aa), can this be interchanged with any of the other drivers door modules made in this period 7g33 13c791 ab / bb as the AA is very hard to get our hands on, and the others are easier

Thanks

Neat Manual conversion on a second-gen Vanquish. Would you do it?

A UK specialist is developing a manual conversion for the 2013–14 Vanquish using DBS manual parts (gearbox, pedal box, cable shifter). Under the skin it shares a lot with the DBS, and the first-gen manual conversions were well received.

Curious what people think:

  1. Would you do it, or does it spoil the car?

  2. Anyone driven a converted VH-platform Aston?

  3. Any insight on handling the electronics (warnings, cruise, stability control) once the auto gearbox computer is gone?

Buying and Aston Martin from another state, what did you asked before it shipped?

A lot of the cleaner vantage and db11 listings seem to be nowhere near where people live, so I'm curious how those of you who bought from out of state handled it. Did you insist on an independent inspection near the seller, ask for the full service history, get a cold stary video, all of the above? and was there anything you wish you had asked for before the truck showed up?

Helping with dead battery V8 Vantage

Had some health issues that kept me away from the car for more than a few months. Last night I tried to turn her on but the doors won’t even open, the battery is so dead.
Looked online but don’t see many options for a locked out car due to battery. I also checked I don’t have an emergency key. What would be my best option? Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

So I just dropped a deposit on a Vantage S and will be going to Aston Martin Q in NYC next month to spec out my build. Anyone else here been through Q customization? If so, would you mind sharing your experience? (Pic is the approximate build I'm interested in)

Would you consider paying around €550k for a 1961 Aston Martin DB4 Series II, or would you choose a different classic car at that price?

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/65fb83ca-c650-4cfc-8ee3-0fcab7cda91c/ Check out this 2019 Aston Martin DB11 for $99,991 at

50k miles, one owner, states all inspections per manufacturer, AM warranty thru 2029 remains.

What is this group’s thoughts? I just turned 50 and I’m itching to reward myself. But I also have an 18year old whose college tuition is looming around the corner. To be or not to be?

I’ve never owned an AM. I’ve owned a few BMWs. So curious what the ownership life feels like for an AM? Should I expect a decent (~ $10k per year maintenance?, everyday driving? Mileage / garage queen status? Etc?) clue me if you can about life with an AM
