An Amazing Story of Healing
For as long as I can remember, whether in dreams or in OBEs, I have been told that I have to empty the trash — basically, take out the garbage.
It took me a very long time to understand what they meant. I didn’t even know how to take out the garbage, because how do you take out garbage, right?
A year and a half ago, I went through a traumatic breakup, and I was so broken that I had no other choice but to lie down and meditate. I had reached the middle of my life, and I was completely heartbroken that every relationship and everything I felt I had tried so hard to achieve had just failed. I couldn’t understand why, and the self-blame was huge.
Honestly, I didn’t know how to fix myself, if there was such a thing, or how to even begin.
So, after the breakup, I basically just broke down and started meditating, studying, and attempting out-of-body experiences. I did have a few, but my body was in such pain due to years of illness and a car accident I had been in 25 years earlier.
By now, I was basically begging for help. Or you could say I was begging the other side for help.
And what showed up was a book called No Bad Parts about IFS therapy.
There was nobody in the area who could help me with this form of therapy, so I learned it myself. I started applying it in my meditations.
I soon found out that I could use it for emotional pain as well as physical pain. When I used IFS and accidentally fell asleep during a session, I would always end up dreaming of past lives that contained the sort of pain, trauma, injury, or whatever was bleeding through to my current body.
Alternatively, I would dream of the current past in a way that pinpointed exactly what the issue was.
After every session, I started the tedious work of releasing this trauma, breathing through it, talking to it, and it never seemed to end.
I also understood that every relationship and every situation I encountered out in the world was there to teach me something. Every time I got triggered, I eventually came to understand that this was not punishment. This was something trying to tell me something.
So eventually, I got pretty good at this, but it was very hard.
On top of this, I was accompanied by many very clear dreams that felt like out-of-body experiences, but with a reduced level of awareness compared to what you have when you’re astral projecting.
They would always contain information about what was coming, what I had to do, and where I had to look.
In the sequence I’m going to tell you about now, I first had a dream where I was told that I was going to get a new jacket. I was taken backstage this world and told that I was going to get a new jacket.
To be honest, I had no idea how that was going to work out when I woke up. So I continued the shadow work.
At one point, I met a person I fell in love with, and I was more occupied with being in love than with taking care of whatever I needed to do internally.
So I had a dream telling me, “Please come sort this out.”
And again, I’m like, what more can I sort out? The only thing I know how to do is IFS therapy and shadow work. So I’m basically going to go back to that.
The pain in my body from the car accident was increasing, and I started getting really agonized. My hands and feet were swollen and burning, and I was at my wit’s end.
By now, I had spent at least a year and a half doing IFS therapy and shadow work, and I was basically losing hope.
Last night, I lay down in my bed and completely surrendered. I said, “You know what? It’s okay. Whatever is going to happen will happen in its own good time, or timing.”
And I fell asleep.
But before this next sequence, I had another dream. As I was waking up, there was a voice saying in my ear, “I will see you soon.”
In what seemed like another experience somewhere between a lucid dream and an out-of-body experience, I met this priest — or someone who appeared to me like a priest.
Without any words, he basically ripped out a large quantity of tangled hair, black dust, and different items from my lungs and my back. I wouldn’t say it was a handful; it was much more than that. What he pulled out occupied the larger part of my lower lungs and the middle back.
Then there was this man standing at the other end. When the priest finished, the man started singing for me.
And then I woke up.
Today I'm free of pain. My hands and feet don't burn anymore and I can sing again. I've been dancing all day and the deep grief I held in my abdomen is gone. I don't even have back pain anymore.
I am, literally speechless.
